We made 220 bucks in our pjs last night. Called this company that buys tons of old jewlery (costume, etc), collectibles, misc this and that. Susanne sold her old uniforms and we are lightening our load!!! Got my grades posted too...moving in the right direction! Today, a carpenter is coming to shorten our table legs and chairs. We bought one of those tall dinning room tables and it interrupts the flow in the new house. So for 200 bucks, we are getting it shortened. $ in and $ out!!! busybusy on this end. pop in from work

Michelle~ so sorry to hear this. I can totally relate. Who will be w/ the crew after Sun? Perhaps you need a CNA coming by 12 hours a day to cook, clean, help w/ bathing needs, shop, etc. I am not sure if it will "get better" and your FIL is dealing w/ alot. Heather, I understand about change...it can emotionally draining. Is Ayla learning Turkish? When you register her for school PLEASE do not mark that you speak any other language in the home besides English. No matter what state she is in, she will be labeled (in the office/teacher only) as an English Language Learner. It is HARD to get "out" of that program. I love that she will be bilingual when she is 5! Laura, how is day two? Is he w/ you or at school today? Take pix of his "class". Haydee, have fun honey...you deserve it! Judy, glad to hear you are on the mend. I am having bad allergies now. I am NOT taking those shots again. I called yesterday and she said, "oooo, we need to dilute it!" I said, "no, you ALREADY diluted it...I am not taking them again. I had to go to the ER and miss a day of work from this!!!" I am really hella pissed...and am having bad allergies to boot. We will be sleeping in the house Sat. night!!! Taking the TV over on Friday to have the cable hooked up. aaaaahhhh...can't wait for this to be over. My poor sweetie is home packing now, and I am at work. She took off T-F to get it done...I am lucky be sad I can't help her. The saga continues. Janie, I literally touched every piece of clothing I own (cept the bra/pantie drawer). IF IT DIDN'T FIT YESTERDAY...IT LEFT. I really felt good and as much as I am a "work in progress" w/ my weight...it feels good to own who I am today; wear clothes that fit today, and look forward to shopping should I suddenly drop that 50 pounds. xoxoxo

Hey Violets~ Happy Hump Day! I feel sooo much better. I ended up having to leave work yesterday, my head was KILLING ME...so much so I was crying. I went to doc and got a blood pressure reading, which was wayyyy down. It was 130 over 92, so still elevated, but not enough to cause the headache. He thinks the headache is either from the shots I gave myself or the shots they gave me in the ER. I grabbed a couple of fish tacos and came home and went through EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING I HAVE. If it didn't fit RIGHT THEN...I gave it to another "fluffy" friend of mine. Michelle and Haydee met Nikki!! Anywho...she left with 6 LARGE GARBAGE BAGS. I gave her about 25 pair of capri's/pants. Suits, sets, t's, you name it. Our new closet is smaller, about a 1/3 the size of our old...so PURGEPURGEPURGE!!! Felt good. I also went through tons of old crap...tax returns from my mom and grandpa, trusts, wills, deeds to propertys, etc. I found a check for over 10,000 that was NOT cashed and two life ins policys that I need to call on...haha! Doubt that this will "pay off" but how funny to find it now. We took two loads over to the new house too! Busy doesn't even begin to cut it. Came home at 7pm and graded papers until 9:20! We were up at 4:17 this am just laying in bed talking, lol! OK...sorry for the book. Laura, how was the man child last night. I hope he told you all about his new friends and that he had a wonderful day! Enjoy the breaks too...it is good to let him "do his thang" so mommy can do hers! xoox pop in from work... xoxoxo

Hey Girls~ Well last night about 30 after I gave myself my allergy shot...I was driving like a crazy woman to the ER. My chest tightened up, I was weazing, coughing...and was itchy EVERYWHERE!!! I got a shot of Benedryll, steroids, and a breathing treatments...and was sent home w/ a px for the same! Today I have a "kickyoasskindaheadache" but am better...and on my way to work. uuuugggg!!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!!

I have a slight sinus infection but have been popping echinacia (sp) like crazy. Hoping it doesn't work itself into a cold. I have a long day today...and I'd really rather go play in my new house. Work and then I have a Human Rights Commission mtg. Technically, since I've now moved to Palm Desert (which is about 12 miles from Palm Springs) I shouldn't serve on the Commission anymore. I think i will serve out this term and will not "re-up" when my term is over. I've already joined the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce on facebook...trying to familiarize myself w/ that political community. OK...off to put my face on! I've got a ton of papers to grade today...uuuggg! workworkwork! xoxoxo

Hey girls~ Susie, these are your rules, but I teach 12 year olds and some do wear a little makeup. When you go to her school, what are the other girls doing? Especially, if she has the short hair now and has issues with her identity. How long do you get to keep her? What happens to the kitty if she goes back, or does she? Hi Girls~ Wow...-9 and -6...you go girls! I am proud of you both and so proud of Judy's resolve and dedication. It is harder when you are closer to goal...but your eating is wonderful. Susanne packed a TON of stuff today. I finished writing all four entries of the National Boards!!! what a JOB! I will spend the next couple of weeks (most done next week) cleaning it up then gathering all my docs etc. ALL WILL BE FINISHED BY MARCH 24!!!! Then we go on spring break on the 26th, and I can float in the pool!! So sad about your friends mom Laura. Michelle how is the MIL? Judy...how is Jen doing w/ the Ethan? Is Steven in the house? Hey Girls~ We have a minimum day today then we have a big meeting this afternoon...on the budget. Should be depressing. Our neighbor district is laying off 188 teachers!!! Just bad news. Meanwhile, the kids are still there, we just now have 40+ in a class. Who the hell is running this state? Klausy has a doctor apt this afternoon! Then we are going to Stef's for dinner! Tomorrow at 8:45 we have our meeting w/ the life ins girl, 10am our Quality Walk...then HOPEFULLY get our keys! Not sure yet!!! IF we "fund" today, we will get the keys tomorrow! IF we don't "fund" today, then they have to draw up more docs. sooo EVERYONE is working to get us funded today!!! Cross your fingers for us! I'll pop in later...everyone have an outstanding day!!

Hey Girls~ Adding to the prayer circle...Susanne's mom has a mass that is 6" x 4" on a leftover ovary piece that was left behind from a hysterectomy 40 yrs ago. There is no blood supply there, but the mass is big now! She is underway w/ tests...and is fiesty as hell! She says, "aahhh, f^&* them, day don't know nutting" in a thick German accent. Anyway, Susanne is besides herself on this one...w/ the house and all our stress now...uuggg! Appreciate it girls! Haydee, I would have flipped my lid on this mo fo! Gotta run, but Michelle, I agree...Life is Short. My new motto is LIVE LIFE LIKE IT IS GOLDEN! xoox

I also have to pay the state 501 in taxes too...so the property taxes and car reg. and the state taxes...THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY ALL GOING TO CALIFORNIA! Yikes!

Good morning ladies~ Judy, not that I know shit from shinola on this...but try eating 500 extra calories for 2 days...then go "back" to life w/o the 500. I've read so much about shocking the system when you get stuck. Again...what do I know! :biggrin: Just keep up the good work! OK...I am the principal today again...uuuggg! They work hella hard! Then I have to go pay property taxes, and car registration (882 + 356 aakkkk!) Then home to start a new semester for Walden. I ended one yesterday and have to finish grading then start on the next load! I took a Zyrtec last night for my allergy shots. I am still drunk from it!!! SUCKS! OK...off like a prom dress! Hello Girls~ Woke up to the beautiful sound of rain...LOVE IT on Saturdays! The bad thing (or could be a good thing) is that I am supposed to work at the Black History Month Festival for the Human Rights Commission. I kinda don't wanna go...so I am hoping for more rain. It will suck to sit out there for 2 hours in the rain. Then tonight...going to the Adam Lambert concert!!!!! SOOO excited to see him. My friend Stefanie is picking me up and we are going to dinner out there (it is about 25 min away at a casino). I am soooo looking forward to it!!! Susanne is going to take a test for the TSA (airport security) in Riverside (which is about an hour away...other direction) this afternoon. So today...we are both going in opposite directions, which is not something we like to do often on a Saturday. We get the keys next Friday, March 5! We do our quality walks at 10am and then get the keys later that afternoon!!! Susanne's birthday is Saturday March 6. We are not getting gifts for each other for the next few years. But...I am gonna get her a cute new keychain to go w/ the keys of the house! I am going to go by Hallmark today to get something special. Put it in a cute little box, can't wait! Monday I am off because I am the "principal" again. I like to get out of the classroom from time to time...but they work hard all day! Then we have a minimum day on Thursday for meetings...and then, Friday off for the keys! Not a bad way to start March! That is all that is going on w/ me! Sorry for the book...just haven't checked in w/ ya'll in a while! LOVE YOU GIRLIES!!!

THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!! If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!! When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning.... Uphill... Barefoot... BOTH ways Yadda, yadda, yadda And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it! But now that . . . I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia! And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalogue!! There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter - with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox, and it would take like a week to get there! Stamps were 10 cents! Child Protective Services didn't care if our parents beat us. As a matter of fact, the parents of all my friends also had permission to kick our ass! Nowhere was safe! There were no MP3's or Napsters! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished, and the tape would come undone. Cause - that's how we rolled, dig? We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called, they got a busy signal, that's it! There weren't any freakin' cell phones either. If you left the house, you just didn't make a damn call or receive one. You actually had to be out of touch with your "friends". OH MY GOD !!! Think of the horror. And then there's TEXTING . yeah , right. You kids have no idea how annoying you are. And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, a collection agent, you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister! We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen... Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel! NO REMOTES!!! There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little rat-bastards! And we didn't have microwaves. If we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove! Imagine that! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. My mom went to High School in Ankra and loved her time in Turkey. My grandfather was a diplomat for the US...so they had it pretty good there. We are home from the trip. It was 6 hours of travel for a 2.5 hour tour. It was really beautiful day. Can't wait to debrief w/ the kids tomorrow!!! I am pooped...hope you had a great day Judy! My 1 day employment So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter, A good find for many retirees, I lasted less than a day... About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud, Unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance. I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?' The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Heck no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why the heck would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or stupid?' So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am, I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.' My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.

ok...HERE WE GO!!! A mobile notary is on her way over and we are signing our docs tonight..we were approved!! I just got home from the bank where I wire transferred my money into escrow. We do our QUALITY WALKS next Friday morning...get the keys Friday pm!!!

Hey girls~ Well the video taping is OVER!!! And I still have all my teeth!! LOL. I only now have to wait for the video and write up the analysis. Whew!!! Michelle, go go go! You deserve it, and it is good for your kids to see you doin' your thang! It encourages and models independence. Plus the opportunity to have a mom/sister/Michelle mini vacay is sooo worth it!! You can't get back those moments. We are off to the Museum of Tolerance in LA tomorrow. Going to be a long day, we leave here at 6:30 and get home around 4:30 or 5!!! ON A SCHOOL BUS W/ 55 KIDS! Yikes! Janie, not sure when we move yet...in our heads we are moving every day! Still waiting to hear! Just a bit crazy now...crazy good and worried but crazy! OK..that is it for me! Pie hole report was f'd up by 8am...my friend made homemade cinnamon cookies and she gave me 3 wrapped up w/ a ribbon...how could I resist? I had them for breaky (w/ cottage cheese). have a great day
