Hey Girls~ Judy, I love the church drama!!! I guess it was to be expected. I am glad that he is leaving...keep us posted on the fallout! I am going to a new allergist this morning. After Susanne and I both ended up in the ER from our last bout of shots, we left that last practice. Actually, they sent me a bill for when I went in to complain, and the front office girl said I should talk to the doctor then THEY BILLED ME AN OFFICE VISIT! I told them, and I quote, "You can take this bill and shove it up your collective asses, I am not paying it and find it fraudulent at the VERY LEAST that you would bill my insurance company for an office visit!" The bill went a way! Other than that not sure what we are doing! I really want to start exercising again...miss it and feel READY! I think we should be able to swim today...not sure...it is only dancing in the 100's today, then 98 tomorrow. Problem is that the nights are in the 60's and pool gets cold! We had a good earthquake last night! It rolled and rolled some more! 5.7 in Ocotillo, which is near MX. I am such a Californian, I only turned down the TV and didn't even move! Haydee, hope Juan had a great bday!! You are a good wife and your enchilladas sounded great! Have a great day!

Hey Girls~ THOSE VUVUSELAS ARE KILLING ME!!! I am dying...It is on the morning show this morning. The French team thinks it is too distracting. I heard the WC pps are going to try to get them to stop! We had a blast yesterday. We saw Marmaduke, which was a really cute movie! He swam for a bit ( a little cool), we made a puzzle, colored, watched Toy Story 1 & 2 (not all of each...but caught most of it). We had a blast at the Children's Museum too. Just a fun day. I PASSED OUT at 10:15 and he is still sleeping! We are going to take him home in Yucca (about 40 min away) and go out to breaky w/ his dad too. Then I think I am going to Jenny's new school to check things out. Then I have a Human Rights meeting at 3pm! Everyone have a great day...bbl! Oh yeah...me again! Went to a fun reunion party last night! Had a blast! Did a few shots of tequila and had a couple of beers, danced a bunch, talked tons, ate GREAT food (they had these spinach won ton thingys...mmmm) and had a blast. Susanne didn't want to go, so I went by myself!

Hey Violets~ Jane, good luck at the auction...can't wait to hear about it. No big trips for us this summer. We plan on hanging about here. Susanne's mom has some medical things going on, so she'll be gone in parts. She was supposed to leave tomorrow, but the appointment was moved until the 29th, so I think she'll leave the 28th for a time. Other than that, I'll perform a wedding ceremony on July 9th in Santa Barbara, and then Lady Gaga in Vegas on the 13th of Aug (which we'll be there 2 days and make a mini cation out of it). I'd like to start framing a book that I want to write, but with all the fun and Walden...not sure if I can "get 'er done"! Today the cutest nephew in the world is coming over!!! I am picking him up at 9:45 and we are going to the Children's Museum at 10:30 for a paint your pottery thing and play. Then either a movie or swimming or both!!! Then I'll drive him home in the morning! Looking forward to hanging w/ the kid!!! Hope Michelle faired well in the night! bbl xooxxo

Hey Girls~ I feel a bit better today, must've been allergies. Judy, that is smart to get on the selection committee. At least your input will be heard. Can't wait to see the pix of your yard, when the sun shows up!!! Jane, not sure what an empanada is, but by Judy's description...I want one. Hope all is well w/ Laura and Haydee. I know Michelle is knee deep in OLE OLE OLE! I am going to a St. Teresa's reunion party tonight! Should be fun to see all the peeps from days gone by! Haven't seen a few of these peeps since 1981!! No the challenge is to look fanfreakintastic!!! Susanne doesn't want to go, and I think my bro is going...but if not, I am going stag! Looking forward to it! It is SOOOOOO freaking windy here...which has brought our temps WAY DOWN. I hate it. Actually thinking about bringing a light sweater tonight I WANT MY SUMMER BACK! I am reading that Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang still. I like it, but the last month got a way from me and I didn't pick it up. Looking forward to reading that other book Judy recommended (can't remember it) and then I have Slash'es book and Chelly Wright's book, LIke Me. Ahhhhh, i love summer! Morning Violets~ Michelle, caught the fever here (and a head cold). Woke up to the opening ceremonies. We are team USA and Germany!!! Already wrote all the German games down. Secretly I hope Mexico wins this am even thought Sus wants SA to take it cause they are the host team. I have 60+ kids crossing their fingers for MX. Judy, where did you get your Water weights? I just said yesterday I wanted some. Jane, "this is the kind of week erasers were made for..." what a great line! Your funny. I hope some ppl managed to keep their appt. I rarely change my hair appt. He books up weeks in advance, so if I don't keep it, I have to go weeks before I can get in with him. Well, we had the girls over yesterday and it was really nice. It is soooo windy and we swam and bbq'd, even in the wind. But I think the windy activated either allergies or a head cold. I have a nasty cough, a kick ass sore throat, and feel that weird body feel. Sooooo, already popped a Benedryl and a few Echinacias. Hoping it is just a come down, low immune system response to the end of the year . Anywho...that is what is up w/ me. Hey my two mommas!!! And everyone else too! xooxoxxo

Same here...our Teacher of the Year was on the chopping block. Actaully, it would have been her getting laid off, but she has a supplemental degree and now she is teaching 8th gr. LA. If not for that degree, she would be laid off. It goes by district senority and No Child Left Behind mandates about being Highly Qualified to teach in your field!

Hey Girls~ Watching Monster House for the 1000000th time! Gotta love the second to last day...Bingo, Checkers, mazes, word searches, movies...teachers frantically cleaning their desks!!! LOVED Glee...omg, what an outstanding show! Loved the music and the message...and when the kids sang to Will (my boyfriend), I cried! A friend of mine sent me a Glee hat she got last year at the XGames. It is red too! Went to a nice gay bar last night and played Bingo! It was fun! Really beautiful place...great drink specials too. Other than that...we are hanging in. Susanne works for Palm Springs High graduation tonight too, sooooo she left the house at 5:40am and will get home about 8 tonight! Poor thing...good overtime, but she'll be tired and cranky. Tomorrow after school, we are having Jackie, Melissa, Jenny, BA, and Annette over for bbq and swimming. They will bring all the food too! I have some brownies I might make tonight for the girls...depends if I want the oven on! Went to Del Taco for breakfast w/ Jenny. She is my bff and I don't know if I mentioned it, but she got bumped and has to work at another school next year! Soooo sad...f*&king budget cuts. So the "regular classes " (not mine, I teach English Language Dev.) will have 40+ in our classes, and she has to teach 5th grade! We don't "belong" to our schools, but to the district. At anytime we can be moved. On the upside, she at least still has a job...the district laid off 34 teachers for next year:mad::thumbup:. Soooo sad. I am sure I'll think of more to say, lol...pop in later during intermission:biggrin::smile:

We need a new thread...gonna start one after this! I AM SOOO HAPPY to hear the news!!! Two baby violettas on the way! Carson will always be the original...but what wonderful news! I bought donuts for the chilllrens today...and am stuck on a maple bar. DUH! Other than that, we are in full count down mode!

funny convo: this weekend, we just dunked in the pool, and called it a bath. We left Sat am to grocery shop, then literally didn't move the rest of the weekend. I did shower and wash my hair last night (just being lazy for doing it this am)...but I LOVE pj days too!!!

Good Morning Girls~ I love having tons to read in the morning! Michelle, yesterday we were online and writing down ALL the Germany games over the next few weeks! I have never paid attention to soccer, but Susanne loves it! She will wear a German jersey or Tshirt and yell at the TV in Deutsch! I just get the hell out of her way! Not much else to report. Grading papers, swimming, TV and perhaps a nap! I am making filet minjon (sp), baby red potatoes w/ herbs (on the grill), and zuccinni for dinner. Looking forward to it! Enjoy your Sundays!!! I am gonna catch some French Open Finals instead of the Sunday show!:thumbup:

Good Morning girls! Slept in until 5:30!!! AHHH. Now drinking coffee and watching the French Open Women's Final!! I love it! I watched the greatest saddest movie last night, My Sister's Keeper. I know many of you probably read the book or already saw the movie. I LOVED it! Sus went to bed at 8:30 (actually, she had been sleeping in the recliner since 5:30) and I made some popcorn and watched it...omg...great movie. I cried all the way through it, but oddly, not at the end. I say watch it if your in the mood to crycrycry...and laugh. Good one! I am wrecked today...have a feeling laying about is on the agenda. Susanne is already doing laundry and pulled weeds...me, I've checked the violets and facebook. have a great day!!! xoxoxo

Hey girls~ Well, it is over. It wasn't specifically tough, but rigorous, and intensive. I completely PB'D breakfast 3 times, and had to take the test on an empty stomach. Then an hour later, had the growls from Hell going. I had a big ass headache, but came home at 1pm, put on my cool pj's, and put on the lifetime movie channel and passed out. Susanne came in and woke me up at 3:30. She took a dip, we bbq'd some hotdogs, and had a couple of brewhahas and then I swam for about 30 min as we talked. It felt great, and my headache is subsiding. She is passed out in the recliner next to me now...poor thing, has to work outside and it was 107 today. This weekend our ONLY chore is grocery shopping. She'll do laundry and I'll grade papers, but other than that...pool time. It is supposed to be 112 on Sunday!! :tt2::ohmy::thumbup: This oil spill thing is making me sick to my stomach. I feel bad for everyone, and all the animals. Just sooo sad for the situation, and don't feel blaming this that or the other helps. What are your weekend plans people? Michelle is hitting the open road to transport. Did I miss the big blowup?? Last I left off was Pam? I miss you guys and really wish we all lived closer to each other. Judy, that is fantastic!!! I it doable, I just need to committ. Spring is always so busy with parties, this and that. I haven't gained since I went last week, but haven't lost either. I'll get back on the wagon soon. Today is a 5 person retirement party...sandwiches and cake!
