Morning Violets~ I had a dream that we were all at this old lady's house rumaging through all her stuff. She was there, just had bunches for sale. I think it was a store, and she just lived there. Anyway, it was pretty cool...all of us shopping. Judy~ the 4-500k price tag is ONLY a reflection of the market in Palm Springs (well, lots of places) and not a reflection of the houses them selves. In 1980, we bought this for 80k...same house...different market, lol. Well, back to work. Susanne left last night at 9pm. That is late! Can't wait til this is over! No, I guess the squatters made a fake lease and had the electricity turned on and everything. They were pretty quite about everything, even my next door neighbor did not know they were there...until the sheriff came and told them to leave. Just yesterday, there was a washer and dryer in the driveway and today the dryer is gone. I mean there are clothes, books, furniture, toys, games, ALL IN THE DRIVE WAY! This is a pretty decent neighborhood...all working people, but upstanding people. It is very quiet too. All houses are about $4-500,000 price range, but this is a bank foreclosure. Scott ended up getting this house for $290k. It is a huge 4 bedroom, w/ a pool and a great walk in laundry room. Anyway...that is the news from the "hood". LOL

Moms are amazing people, my hat is off to all of you! Well, we had a lazy day! We have a house for sale 2 doors down. Over xmas, we meet someone who we thought was buying the house. But since then, these trashy junky people showed up and had all their crap in the front yard, garage, etc. The other neighbors and I were pissed...they totally junked up the "hood". It was so bad I called the police yesterday. They came and said they would call City code enforcement on Tuesday. Well, tonight as we were working on a puzzle...a friend of mine came over. I haven't seen her in 15 years or so. Anyway, she is friends w/ the guy who we thought was going to buy the house, Scott. Long story LONG...he did buy the house and is in escrow. The trashy junky people were squatters and the reason all their crap was out was because the sheriff came and told them to hit the road. That is when all their crap showed up outside. I guess they've been in the house for a few months and when we put a bid on the house that is when everyone found out. So, the good guy moves in soon. He is a pilot for Skywest and is great. So...we are all happy. I think all the crap will be removed within a week or so....whewww! OK...gonna chill for a bit! Have a good night. I am on American Airlines. I also paid some extra $$ to fly in and out of PS airport. It is worth it to me to arrive home and take a 5 min cab ride and be home, especially since I must work 11 hours later. But I should be all relaxed and happy!:girl_hug:

I AM BOOKED!! Jane, you really need more time in Dallas. It is huge and even if it is the same Airline, you will need more time. I arrive @ 11:20 in Dallas and fly out to SA @1:15. I'll arrive SA @ 2:20pm!!! It would be a hoot to hook up w/ some violets in Dallas and fly into SA together! I fly out of SA @ 3:10pm and fly out of Dallas @ 6:10 arriving in PS @ 7:10! Hey Violets~ Michelle~ where for art thou? Hope everything is ok. Ready for your trip? This kids still have no clue? They are so lucky. I LOVE surprises and always wanted a surprise party, or a surprise trip! We are home from Wally World...hate that store. Had to go there to buy Crystal Light Iced Tea (peach). Ended up spending over 50 bucks (see why i hate that store). Anyway, I told Susanne...lets go home and put on our jammies and just "be". We saw Bucket List yesterday w/ her parents (yes 3 movies in 3 days if anyone is keeping track). It was great...and yes, I cried and ate popcorn. Now that I have my crystal lite...all is right in the world again. I bought 8 (all they had) boxes of the to go packs. I looked totally skinny yesterday and everyone told me so. Susanne said, "I don't know if I can handle you...you are looking great!" So, like Denise, I don't know what is going on w/ the scale...my body is changing. Plus, I love my jazzercise class. OK...gonna go beebop around the house. Need to plug in the printer and get my ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terry~ Ontario is about 85 miles away and about 2 hours w/ traffic. I could fly out of there and save a couple hundred...but then I have to drive in, pay and park, then drive home. I live about 2 miles from Palm Springs airport. And the flights are just as complicated from Ont. as Palm Springs. I think I found a good one...one problem is I fly into Dallas and I am worried that I wont have enough time between flights. It is an hour...and I have been to Dallas...that was huge. But, it has me arriving about 3pm (if I remember correctly)...which would work. Plus, if I fly into Palm Springs, I am 5 min from my house~! Should get the tix tomorrow or Monday. Need to hook up printer before I order tix! Can't wait! I think I will be the fattest one in the whole group:frown::)...that totally sucks.

Tracy~ Sorry to hear about Macy! Purple Power for a speedy recovery! Denise~ My God woman...you look amazing! Granny my ass! I agree w/ Susie about the exercise. The scale is still 249.8...not moving at all and I've worked out tons. I need to keep watching the food (been a bit over indulgent the last 2 days) and I will keep exercising...and hopefully in a few more weeks, the scale will reflect the hard work I've been doing! You look smokin hot mama! Well, MIL is here. We are home from the casino (lost 30 bucks) and the buffet and we are gonna see Bucket List later! Lookin' forward to it! I love artisan fairs too. I don't "do" malls...hate 'em. But I love to shop in little shop for "stuff", (crap as Susanne likes to call it). The best day to buy a tic is on a Tuesday, when airlines put up new trips (saw that on the Today show). I, however, will be buying on Monday w/ my "smarter half" will help. The flights I looked at had me going to Chicago and arriving San Ant. late. Gotta be an easier way, and she will find it. She is quite the seasoned traveler. I am far too impulsive! So glad we got this up and running. Judy, you just HAVE to go. Plain and simple...no buts about it. PLEASEEEE!!!!

Can we start booking flights yet? Has anyone booked yet? I don't want to get the refundable tix, it costs more. Are we for sure a go for that weekend?

Terry~ Thanks but this is a spouse free weekend. Also, she is retiring "officially" being out processed that weekend. I got totally lucky cause she wants to go through the process in AZ, which is her home state. Initially, about 6 months ago, she asked if I could go with her, and I said I couldn't take the time off work. Now, for the same weekend I am taking the time off work to go be w/ ya'll (I am practicing). Anyway, she doesn't remember wanting me to go now...and is happy going w/ her mom. Her "official" retirement party will be in April (we think) and I wouldn't miss that for the world. My parents are acutally coming down from Reno to be there, bro, fam. etc. Her, who is currently in Iraq, is waiting to hear the final date and will come home for that. Also, (bragging here), she will awarded the Merit of Legion award at the retirement ceremony. It is a very big deal and I am so proud of her! Ok, enough about her...Should I bring my pink cowgirl hat?

WooHoo... Judy~ It is you or I'll go solo. Remember, I was able to say, "Look honey, my roomie is a preachers wife who doesn't drink, smoke or gamble." If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby... (some of you might be too young to remember the BeeGee's). It is a bit harder when it is a All Girls Weekend and your lesbian partner meets the criteria. My flight will cost about $500 (I think $490 to be exact). I haven't booked it yet, will probably do it Monday. MIL is coming this weekend...fun and German food! Susanne will help me w/ the details. I am really looking forward to it. If I get caught at work taking a personal neccessity day that DOES NOT meet the contract language, I could lose a whole year's retirement. This is a secret "SPIRITUAL RETREAT"! TTFN xoxoxoxoxoxo

I say we stay on the river...nicer accomodations and right in the middle of things since we are only there 1 night. We need to get it all in in a short time. It is only a bit more money plus we are splitting the costs. That is my 2cents!

This is weird? People hate change. It will take time to get used to this, and before we know it...we won't even remember the old one. The movie was great! We had a great date! I am sooo blessed w/ a beautiful partner! I also am ready to book my flight! Waiting for everyone to say, "Hell yeah!" Gimme an H Gimme an E Gimme an L well, you get the picture! Texas will never be the same!

I am blowing off jazzercise today, sneaking off w/ my sweetheart and going to see Atonement! I have a hot date! WOOHOO! I have a BOAT LOAD of work to do. Starting today, I took on an extra class to teach, 8th grade Language Arts. What I didn't realize as I was raising my hand was...Now I have 38 freakin persuasive essay papers to grade this weekend! OH Well, teacher is out on an extended leave. Hopefully he will be back in a month. It is an extra $600/month after taxes for me, so that is good. I'll check in w/ ya'll later!
