Hey Everyone~ A few years ago, I decided to add something to my life to enrich it during lent. One year, I started morning prayers. One year was exercise (didn't last long though). This year, I think I am gonna add and take. Not really clear yet, and may be late cause I will be out of town...eating out...drinking a few...so this remains to be seen. I am Catholic, and extremely spiritual so it will be something to bring or take me closer to Jesus. Kat~ Your post this morning was so reflective and thoughtful! Thank you for sharing yourself with us all. I do know this to be true...you are a beautiful person and offer so much more than just a "acceptable" image in the mirror! We love you and I am so greatful you are my friend! Water is comin along...not too bad, but better than yesterday. It is 4:30 and I have 40oz in...getting there! Jenn~ Honey sending you and your mom so much love and support. Your grandma is starting to walk with God and while I know it is hard to watch, it will be ok. Your mom must be broken now! Stay with her...this is VERY hard for you both...but your mom is struggling! Sending her some PURPLE POWER. OK...off to misbehave in the kitchen w/ MIL! xoxoxoxoox

Morning Vi's~ Terry~ First of all...PURPLE POWER for your mom. I remember those hospital days...hang tough. And when you get down about your weight...think of me! Forever 250:mad:. I too am unable to participate in your eat great day. MIL is on her way over...w/ her friends! She called Wed and asked what I wanted. She makes this (food porn) kickin' meatloaf w/ extremely lean beef and it tastes like salsberry steak. Not too bad...until you add the German noodles, gravy and potatoes...no wonder. I did have a MAJOR NSV yesterday, but was tooooo fat and pissed to write it yesterday. I went through closet (all my fat old clothes go to MIL's friends daughter) and got rid of 10 pairs of pants. I officially have 4 pair of jeans (2 blue and 2 black) and one of the black pair are already too big, just don't want to give 'em away yet. I actually tried on the pair I wore the night I met Susanne...and not only did they fit...they were slightly big!!!!! I tried on clothes that 9 months ago I couldn't get up my thighs...and they fit! So (pizza meltdown aside) I don't give a shit what the scale says...I am losing something! Maybe it is the exercise. I know it is not the pizza. I know I could use a little fill. But, I am not willing to live like I did, PB'ing all the time. I couldn't eat food...that is not good. I'd rather eat, and I can't deny that the portions are sooo much less. I think of Kat...who has been successful but can still eat food. Sorry, PB'ing is not for me. Well, off to get ready for the crew. I am having a small get together tomorrow...think I am gonna do Chickentisers and little foods like that. I don't wanna have left overs and don't wanna do too much work. I have so much to do cause I leave Tues @ 2pm for Disneyland Hotel! Have a great day/weekend everyone! I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends in my life! Judy~ Sadly I won't be able to go to Mass on Wednesday (I usally never miss Ash Wednesday)...but I am gonna start thinking about Lent. I may add a walk everyday to the routine instead of giving something up. Not sure yet! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hey Everyone, I am using a small font...cause I suck eggs. 2 pieces of pizza, although it was all veggie thin crust. Susanne had pan crust meat Lovers...wowser! Anyway...big fat cow...checking in and now checking out. TracyK~ BB starts like Feb 12. I can't wait either, but I am worried it is gonna ruin the momentum the show has for all the summer freaks. Plus, I usually get it online AND watch it on Showtime too...and during the school year I don't have time. I won't be able to "give it my all". I love it but it is my summer guilty pleasure and I hope because it is early that they still have one in the summer! AMC was great today. Tad saw Jesse!! It is on now! Ryan (OMG how hot is he) lost his damn mind. Ok, off to wallow in guilt and shame...burp!
-
Suzie, I think Jesse is real cause he was hiding behind the door yesterday. I asked Susanne that same ? yesterday about Jesse. It is like pulling the band-aid off 1 hair at a time.

Haven't seen Fried Green Tom's in a while. Don't remember the trampoline scene either. Feel better Laura~
-
Terry~OMG...THAT IS TOOOO FUNNY! I'd be at goal in a week! LMAO...the kids are drawing alien pictures for the character sketches and they are staring at me LOL'ing at the puter!
-
Thanks, do you buy these at Big 5 kind of stores? Any athletic store? I think I'll get one and get another cardio workout during my soaps! I wish LBT burned calories:rolleyes:
-
Judy, stupid question alert???? What exactly do you do on the trampoline? I mean, I know you bounce, but is that it. Just jump up and down, or do you have/ watch, etc a routine? I would love that to do when I watch All My Children everyday. Please 'splain Lucy, uh...I mean Judy!

Just finished my Kashi Go Lean granola bar! That and a bottle of water and I can make it until 11:30! Me too Haydee. I have 21 years until retirement . I want to be a wealthy house wife! Wish Susanne was loaded, lol!

Laura~I got a call this am from one of my online students who sounded like how you described you felt. I gave her an extension and I am sure your professor will as well. I was sooo sick Sun and Mon and I got so behind on grading papers...shit happens honey. Feel better soon. Like I told her, ice cream makes everything better . Terry~ I also remember that. Thing is, I was telling the truth! I still feel that pain when I do too many abs during the workout. The doctor said it is kinda hard to fill me cause I have soo much muscle in my tummy. Which is sooo freakin funny cause I have all my weight in my tummy. But yes, I do work on having a strong core. That way I don't have back aches, etc. BTW...I've learned to live w/ the pain these days:biggrin::eek:. OOO Lawd, I can't seem to make myself work today! I have a feeling I'll be posting pix of myself as I count down the day today! HAHA..what is it about Fridays? Ya'll make me laugh!
-
Michelle~ You should make us a batch of those cookies for our trip! Just 1 each...that is the bandster way, right? Enjoy your mom's day. I am jealous...miss my mom sooooo much! Terry~ Prayers for your mom. Get that woman a steak! Honestly, I hope everything is ok, internal bleeding is bad! Jenn~ That fairy you sent, worked! :biggrin2::party: TGIF! Have a great day! Didn't get enough sleep, but since it is Friday...all is good! xoxoxoxoxoxo

192 192 192 Yeah Jenn! Judy~ Roxy just turned 3 beginning of Jan. She is TOOOOO cute for words. She is Veitnamesee (sp) and Cambodian! Her two daddy's do her hair in these big pig tails, and she has the best personality. Next week, I will be at Disneyland hotel for 3 days for a conference (leave Tue and come home Fri afternoon). Since Susanne lives about 20 miles away she is gonna come and 'pend the night! Plus Friday is our anniversary (3 years)! Anyway, I am gonna get Foxy Roxy a Minnie Mouse something for her adoption present. Otherwise she will think Aunt Pammy doesn't buy "cool" gifts and only buys dumb picture frames. Had a bad food day! OOOOO well, tomorrow is another day! Laura~ give us a "quickie" so we know your ok. Kat...get the monkeys ready! xoxoxooxox
-
Michelle~ you really need to adopt me. I did not remember about the hubby. My problem is I check in from work and speed read through. Then I never do personals cause I can't remember who said what. I am sooo excited for you. I love surprises and can't wait to hear all about it. This morning I woke up @ 4:30 and in 10 min. I had thought of a gift for friends of mine who just finalized the adoption of their daughter (two guys...and the cutest little girl named Roxy). I was so excited about this gift that I told him about it at 7am. Not about the gift, but that I thought of one. I love surprises and gifts. The gift if you wanna know is a silver frame w/ their family name engraved and the date of Jan. 29, 2008 when the adoption was finalized! Cute huh? Thanks for the cheese receipes. If I have people over, I am gonna make one of these. Gotta go! xoxoxox
-
???? What is this Queso dip you (Kat and Terry) speak of w/ sausage??? Thinking about have a few friends over. Need something kinda yummy. OK you two...spill the receipe!
-
What...not my type??? That remains to be seen! :frown: Judy, I taught pre-k for 5 years as an undergrad. I LOVED IT. Was able to do my homework during naptime, and got paid for it! Plus the days when I napped too. One time, the director came in and I was snoring (I didn't hear anything) and she woke me w/ a Super Soaker...hahaha. Off to eat my bean salad lunch!

LOL...I hope I don't dissappoint anyone on our trip:cool2:. Haydee...too funny. Gonna post a funny here now too. PS~ My observation got cancelled w/o even a phone call. Hey, if they are not gonna give a shit about it...neither am I. (I love tenure) A woman went to her doctor. The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said,'I've some bad news. You have cancer, and you had best put your affairs in order.' The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting. 'Well daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things do not go so well. In this case, things are not well. I have cancer. Let's head to the club and have a martini.' After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman's old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating. The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end. 'I've been diagnosed with AIDS.' The friends were aghast and gave the woman their condolences. After the friends left, the woman's daughter leaned over and whispered, 'Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS.' The woman said, 'I don't want any of those bitches sleeping with your father after I'm gone.' Now that's putting Your Affairs In Order

Just had a great post w/ tons of personals and whamo...lost it....gggrrrr! Gina...glad your back Househuntress (what is your name)...looking good TracyK...hope your feeling better. Congrats on being so close to goal. Kat and Judy...stay warm...your stories make me chilly! Michelle...OMG...I would be dying w/ that secret. When are you gonna tell 'em? After school? In the morning? At the airport? Does hubby know? Another day in paradise here. Finally getting my observation (after a brief meltdown yesterday)...glad it will be over soon. Susanne comes in today, and tomorrow we are finally getting the Closet World job done in the garage! Then her parents are here this weekend again. More food, great! Can we put our Tip of the Day on another thread. There are lots of good information and it would be nice to put it all in one place. That way we can go there and get inspiration when we need it! Can't wait for May! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hey Everyone~ Juli~ You are rockin that weight loss girl...amazing. I am very proud of you! What do you eat? I am working out 3-4 times a week, eating about 12-1500 cal./day and the scale is not moving. My clothes however are...nothing fits. If I do wear something, I kinda look like a bag lady. It is pretty funny and I am not complaining. About 2x/week, I put clothes in "the bag" that I will never be able to wear again. So, I am not really complaining...but would love to see the scale move. Good to see all the new people. Welcome to our little piece of the planet. Been sooo busy! Susanne retires in a couple of months so we've spent a ton of time and $ on our house. It is pretty fun and I can't wait until she finally moves in! Take care everyone! Glad I found this thread again! xoxoxoxo -
LOL Terry~ TracyK...kick butt and take names sistah! I am stuck @ 249 again. I don't get it...but at the same time, I am feeling beautiful! Anyone else? The good eating (besides the Sunday and Monday blues), good sleeping, regular exercise...man...my skin is glowing. I have a secret. Lean in close, ok? I wasn't gonna tell anyone but Michelle's online confession got me thinking about it (BTW Michelle, I wanna hear the details...I love it). Yesterday, I had my orthotics measured. I had to wear short as he checked my range of motion, etc. I shaved of course, and I have pretty good legs (just some cottage cheese at the top of thighs). I was wearing a red blouse that is pretty form fitting especially on the bazoobies (proud member of the itty bitty titty committee). Anyway, I had to lay down, walk, and a variety of other things for the doctor. The doc is a young 60something guy...good looking...but 60. Anyway, he started to flirt w/ me. I got up off the table and my bazoobies kind of bounced. He said, "oo I love it when you bounce." I thought...WTF??? He said something else just like that about another word instead of bounce (can't remember). Then I saw him checking me out. At the end he said, "If you were single, and if I were single...man o man" (I am thinking, yeah right, I am gay, duh). Anyway, it was kinda creepy...but innocent enough (not a reportable offense). But I can not tell Susanne and thought I'd tell you all. I drove away feeling like a needed a shower, but kinda had an extra spring in my step! HAHA Don't tell anyone, K? Gotta run! xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Hey V's~ I dragged my tired ass to Jazzercise! Feel much better, I knew I would. Before class I made Bean Salad! Kidney beans Garbonzo beans Green beans Asparagus Corn Artichoke Hearts (2 jars) diced olives 1tbs EVOO (lite) 2 tbs red wine vinegar 1tbs balsalmic vinegar minced onions Italian seasoning smidge of garlic powder (don't use salt) Mixed together and sat while I went to class. It was sooo yummy. I have no idea how many calories (how do you figure that out???) but it was great! Best part is I had all the ingredients all ready in the cupboard! Thanks for the idea Judy! Yum! Off to grade some papers! TTFN

My funniest PB story (ALA Haydee) just happened 2 weeks ago. I was having Quality Teacher for English Learners presenters in my room to observe a planned lesson (very informal, yet still important). I was starving and didn't want to have the grumbling stomach (it is really loud since banding). So, I ate these little protien balls (120 cal = 15 g. protien) in between periods (5 min.) I wolfed them down so I could clean my teeth and put my lips on before the observation. I was all set, then I decided I needed a sip of water to wash it down. MAN O MAN...BIG MISTAKE! She walks in and I motion for her to sit at this designated area. I am sliming big time, sharp pain in the chest (you all know the feeling:rolleyes:)...and I was walking around. I said to her, I just need a minute. Mind you, my students are watching me...watching her...and of course they are starting to talk...(when don't they talk, right?). I am sliming and walking...hand on chest, eyes watering. Thinking...what am I gonna do PB in front of everyone? So I open my door, and PB right in the trash can outside. Mind you, my kids could hear, the lady could hear, the neighboring classes could hear. But as you all know...I WAS FINE AFTER THAT:wink2:!

Love Pelligrino water. I miss mineral water:redface:. The screen looks weird. My mouth watered on that hamburger suggestion Susie. Ok, having my 3rd period this month...WTF:mad::rolleyes2:. I am so tired of these little surprise visits. 20 oz of water down. I have a 16.9 oz for after lunch...then I will really push before dance class (pretty sure I can go)! TTFN Judy~ is your bean sal w/ kidney, garbonzo, green beans w/ italian dressing? YUM...may make some tonight. Let me know if it is different.
