Good Morning Violets~ What a whirlwind of the last 2 days! The party was a smash...and we all had sooo much fun! The invite said Margies and Munchies...too much of both! I just put out taquitos, mini chimichangas, mini tacos, chips and salsa and chicken tisers! Everyone loved the food, the margies, the candles. Susannes mom came in and got to meet everyone! We had about 20 women and 2 babies (one was 2 weeks old, and one was 8 months old)! We even had 1 gay guy here and his 3 year old daughter Roxy (i told ya'll about her). I worked my ass off...but we really had a great time! Then Sat. am...garage sale. We didn't have to goodies (couches, furniture, etc) like last year, but we made about 250 buck-a-roos and sat outside in 80 degree spring weather (sorry snow violets)! PLUS...at the end of the sale...we put FREE GRATIS signs out...and the voltures swooped down and took all our shit away!:laugh::thumbup: I was not hauling that junk back into our brand new beautiful garage! Laura~LOVELOVELOVE the color! I want to post pix of my living room too, but don't know how to resize pix. Our resident resizer is off "doing what married people do"...any other violets tech savy. I love color (as my pix will show) and I think yours looks fanfreakintastic! Today, we have an appt w/ the tax guy @ 10am...then I want to do NOTHING the rest of the day! Got a shitload of work to do...but first was LBT and next I am gonna play a game (or 3) of scrabble! Have a great Sunday! OH yeah, I was laying in bed and thought: The violets should all get little violet tattoos while we are in SA together!!! Any takers? something small, sexy, and of course....violet!!! Anyone??? I forgot to tell ya'll that I am having a procedure done to burn the inside of my uterus...and no more periods. There is a fancy word for it and I'll post it when I get to work. But hopefully, I'll have an ultrasound done and then can have it done at the end of March. NO MORE PERIODS!!! I am so happy. Since I've had my period for over a month now w/ the exception of a few days...I am ready! OK...Gotta work, go get the license for the garage sale, go to the store and get ice and a few little this and thats and then the party is @ 4. What a day! Only to be followed by the garage sale. I always put an ad in the paper for a sale, and last year, Susanne and I were having coffee AT 5AM and someone knocked on the damn door. Said they wanted to peak cause they were going out of town. OMG...and I let 'em. Made 75 bucks by 5:20am...but this time I wrote...NO EARLY BIRDS in the ad. Have a great day! xoxoxooxoxox

I vote yes on getting loopy and telling the staff what you think. I'd pay to see that! Susanne is home!! She drove in today and I can just kick her little butt. She gets home, and does laundry, makes the bed, does a bit of this and that...and didn't sit down once! So, when I got home @ 4ish...her feet are so swollen, hurting, and red. I made her dinner (pork chops, German noodles and a salad) and she is passed out on the couch. Susanne is one of those people who push push pushes herself...too much. Oh well, I wouldn't want her any other way! I am serious about the party invitation! It was 82 today and is gonna be all weekend! Any frozen Violets wanna come thaw out??? We are having a party Friday @ 4. Garage sale Sat. morning. MIL comes to town Friday for the party and garage sale. Tomorrow I go after school and sign the escrow papers...then shopping for the party. Busy Busy! But this is life, right. I am very blessed and thank God for such a fulfilling life! I've got great family, love, friends, violets...the list goes on and on! Have a great night! Off to grade papers. Oh yeah, about the cookies...I had 13 Samoas. It is what it is. I had 2 in the morning...2 a while later...2 a while after that...gave 2 away, and before I knew it, the box was gone. OH well... Thanks Susie~ I am excited about this. I've finished 3 years of course work for the doctorate and I have already written 3 of the 5 chapters. I am going to be tweaking Chapter 1, redoing chapter 3 and taking on a different direction w/ the research. Once I get the data writing chapters 4 and 5 can be done in a few weeks. WOW...sounds so easy when I say it like that!

TracyK~Love the new car too! Glad to hear it will work out. Tell 'em take the car back then...they will see it your way. Laura's car is cute too! I love my car, and I don't give a hoot if someone doesn't like it, lol. I love love love my hybrid! It is a v6...hauls ass...and I put gas in it every 4-6 weeks! That is great for a SUV! Too much to do now to do more personals. Got Idol on...DVR'ing BB, but I am checking the bbchatter board to see what is up! Truth be told...I am pooped! I went to dance class tonight, and it felt good! Love to my Purple sisters!

Buenos Dias Violetas~ Another day...1/2 a dollar! I finally go to the gyn today! Never been so excited in my life. I pretty much had a period for the last month, with the eexception of the last 3 days. 6 months ago, I had a bad pap...that is why I am having another one today. That, coupled w/ the month long period...ready to get this addressed. They called yesterday and wanted to reschedule AGAIN! I ended up going w/ the doctors colleague...hell, she is not as busy and he is...and if I like her, I'll stay w/ her! Then, hopefully, I'll go to dance class after that! Susanne is truckin along. She is home alone:frown: and having to change her bandages alone. I sent her some chicken tenders (fake fried), watermelon, etc. She ate some watermelon for dinner. She is the kind of person who will "nibble" on a big bag of pretzles for a weekend, and call that food. Hopefully, she'll be home tomorrow and I can take care of her, even if I go to work. Better than being in OC alone. Thanks for all your well wishes for her! You guys are great. We are having a garage sale this weekend! It is supposed to be 82 degrees (sorry snow violets). That is pretty much how it works around here. As of yesterday, we are in Spring. We may have some bouts of weather (wind and rain) from time to time...but we are pretty much set now for summer! I realized yesterday that March 9th is the day we turn the clocks back!!!! That is my favorite day of the year! Then we have spring break starting March 20...woofreakinhoo!!!! OH yes...I should share w/ my violet sisters! I am officially going to complete my dissertation! It was a big decision this past week. I emailed my chair yesterday and agreed to finish this %^&* degree. I've worked on it since 2001, I've already paid off ALL STUDENT LOANS ($90,000 for both Master's and Doctorate degrees...PAID FOR)...and I want to finish! Keep your fingers crossed for me. I even shared w/ Michelle that I had quit...but my chair wants me to finish and has allowed me to change my direction. Hopefully, I'll be a doctor in about 6 months!!! Caffine interferes with weight loss. Not quite sure why. I am NOT willing to give up my "cup of personality" in the am to drop a few though. And yet, I know stuff like Hydroxy Cut has tons of caffine in it...sooooo there goes that theory. But yes, I've heard of that before. If you forego your am cup of joe...be prepared for a kick yo azz headache!!

You read my mind...but Susanne pops on there and she is 12 pounds lower than my goal...It is me! But I like your thinking better.

Laura~ Loved the weekend update! Haydee~ Your story cracked me up. Last weekend, when we walked to go to eat 2 miles one way, by the time we got there...I was famished. I ate bunches and didn't even feel bad about it. I think exercise helps. Oddly enough, after I work out in the evening w/ dance class, I am tight and have to ease into eating dinner. I think cause I get a good ab workout in dance class...not like walking. I like your idea of exercise better. My damn scale was 250 again...clothes are feeling good and lose, but the damn machine won't move! Oh well...keep on keepin on!~
