Like everyone else here, I've tried everything! In October 2009 I found a weight loss clinic that prescribed a diet of high protein and little to no sugar or flour and vegetables and fruits only if in ketosis. It required weekly visits where I was weighed in and received a shot (B12 I think it was) and a week supply of phendimetrazine (2-35mg pills before each meal). By August 2010 I had lost 80lbs but still had 50 to go but could no longer afford the $55.00 weekly visits. I was able maintain until November 2010 when I started packing the pounds back on. Now I've gained nearly 40 lbs back and feel horrible. I first tried the 17-Day Diet but could not handle all of the yogurt (taste and other issues) so I then decided to join Weight Watchers online (2nd time for this). That was in early March and even though I track religiously and I workout typically 5 days a week I am struggling to lose just 5lbs. I don't want to go back to the pills and I fear that even if I return to the clinic, the same cycle will occur again in the future. I am currently considered morbidly obese and suffer from High Blood Pressure. I've had my gallbladder removed at 16 and had a TIA at 34. I am sick of this cycle and am seriously considering LabBand. Is it right for me? That has yet to be determined. My first step is research and will be attending a seminar this coming weekend.
