@Bayougirlmrsc I agree with Dollgirl, especially about this site being a supportive group. For you to play God and put judgement on others is mind blowing to me. You are generalizing and putting everyone in the same category as perhaps those that abuse the system . God forbid if ever something devastating happens to your life and you need government assistance. And according to your words you have to work everyday so therefore you don't have the money to take care of yourself for a long period of time if you become disable or etc. If you have family to take care of you, I wonder would that be a burden? I'm not saying that family thinks a person is a burden, I think it's a wonderful thing when family cares and help. But just a passing thought since you mention burden. . There are plenty people that have worked decades and have paid taxes and perhaps unemployed or disable and etc. that suddendly needed well earned help. I could never stand people that think they are so above others and find themselves so superior. Look around you in this world and see all the people that have come down a level or two and perhaps homeless because of the economy. They too never thought they would be where they are today, bankrupt, homeless, losing homes, cars, or no health insurance, etc. and needing a helping hand. My point in all this is to stop putting people down because they need and don't have, and for you and others to stop acting superior. Because you never know what tomorrow will bring for you. * I could have made this a very nasty letter but I tried to make my point without going there. Because this site is a SUPPORT GROUP

3Week Post Op Tummy Hurting
eyewonder replied to Lovemythreems's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 4 weeks out and my port area is hurting. I haven't had meds in weeks either. Mine feels like I pulled something. (like a tear) I couldn't understand it either since the pain just all of a sudden hit me. I thought maybe I over ate because I haven't lifted anything heavy. Hope you feel better -
Natalie I want a PB&J sandwich so bad. I thought Peanut Butter would get stuck. My weight is staying the same, I can't really do exercise yet for health reasons. My appetite is increasing and Ihat makes me discouraged, I can't wait until I get my first fill. Then hope I get restriction. I keep saying I'm going on liquids for a day, but that day never comes. Especially when I open my fridge and my eyes go left to right searching for what will satisfy me. Now I know what people mean when they feel they can eat anything.

@Whymomwhy- I think you might like this because you eat eggwhites and hotdogs. CHILI DOG EGG MUG From HungryGirl website Chili Dog Egg Mug Entire recipe: 190 calories, 1.5g fat, 998mg sodium, 15g carbs, 2g fiber, 4g sugars, 27g protein -- PointsPlus® value 4* An egg breakfast for all of the junk-food lovers out there. Skip the fast food -- make this instead. Ingredients: 3/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters Original) 1 hot dog with about 40 calories and 1g fat or less (like Hebrew National 97% Fat Free), chopped 1/4 cup low-fat veggie or turkey chili 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion Directions: In a large microwave-safe mug sprayed with nonstick spray, microwave egg substitute and chopped hot dog for 1 1/2 minutes. Gently stir. Microwave for 1 minute, or until mostly set. Top with chili and microwave for 30 seconds, or until chili is warm and egg is set. Top with onion, and dig in! MAKES 1 SERVING * I cut this recipe in half and it was plenty and I also added a little more chili

@Whymom That's awesome keep up the good work. I love banana peppers and hot sauce, but up till now was afraid it wouldn't agree with my system. But I see you have no problems with hot sauce and peppers. Maybe I will try it soon @Daisy That muffin tin meatloaf sounds delicious, did you make it out of ground turkey? and I would assume it went down well

@whymomwhy Let me know if you can still eat the same foods after your fill? My first fill is July 2 and I'm not looking forward to a needle in my stomach, but I am anxious to find out if there would be a difference.

@Sleepy I hope and Pray your depression leaves you this very moment and don't bring any health problems your way. And from this day forth your mind and spirit is renewed in all peaceful things and thoughts. Please believe that people care and have love for you, be it a stranger or others, and that my prayer for you is to be healed. That cycle you want to break will take place if you keep your mind away from the negative things that pop up, by knocking those thoughts down right away. And place them with positive thoughts. I believe you will have a BREAKTHROUGH and that you are being healed in the name of Jesus (side note) I know you didn't ask for all of this, but I had to say what was in my spirit to say to you. At the same time I'm being reminded to apply the same words to my life, so you see we all need help in our struggles. @Daisy, or should I call you Natalie now? How did the rice go down for you, I thought rice was to be omitted from our "diet".

Sleepyone Buy a pk. of wheat sandwich thins and toast it, that's what I've been using. I have a package of wheat tortilla's now but scared to try them, but I guess I will give it a try since you said it went down fine. You can get some Wheat thin crackers and eat with your friends salsa. To me BBQ flavor cracker is my fix for potato chips. My fix for sweets is "Laughing Cow Cinnamon Swirl cream cheese wedge" on a cracker. That's a new flavor that just came out and it is soooooo good.

@Daisy Some of my meals are the first time I tried them. I never ate egg whites in my life. Bruschetta toppings on a cracker I found on the Wheat Thin box, never ate before. I forgot I added deli turkey also. Actually seeing your tilapia fish with mango salsa made me go out and buy some mango peach salsa. I usually eat my tilapia with ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. I'm just searching for meals other than tuna/chicken/egg salad and chili. I was scared to try bread reading other peoples comments. So I tried toasting sandwich thins and it was fine. I haven't tried salads yet, I guess that will be on my list this week (I think)

No you are not the only one. I have the same problem along with a slipped disc in my back. I wished I could do more walking without pain. Like Daisychains7 said, Water aerobics should be the best solution for us. I'm waiting for my incisions to heal so I can get in the pool. Small steps should help because you are moving. Good Luck and keep moving. This quote came to my mind while replying to you "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward." Pill Form Vitamins During Post Op Diet!!
eyewonder replied to hopingtobebandedsoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I asked the same question about pills. I started right away taking different meds that were different sizes, and all went down well, except one. I took a vicodin pill and cut it in half and that was the worst mistake I made. That was my first stuck episode and believe me I will not repeat that again. Make sure you take one at a time with a little Water. I usually wait about 30 seconds before taking another. I now take that gross B1, but I am 17 days post-0p. Some of my meds were larger than the B1, so you will be fine. -
2Nd Day On Puree- Stomach Burning
eyewonder posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I need help please, I force myself to eat 1/2 cup of food trying to get my Protein in and I'm not hungry. Water is an issue, maybe 45oz.aday . When I try to complete the 1/2 cup I can feel my stomach burning. Have I messed myself up by force eating? I'm tire of doing shakes to get my Protein in. I should have 40 grams of Protein for now and 70 later. Surgery was May 24th with no fill, so this is my second day of Puree food. I tried watermelon today, it was sooooo good but I was scared to swallow, because it requires a little chewing. So I spit it out, that hurt me to my heart LOL So how do I get Protein in, if it makes my stomach burn to try to eat 1/2 cup each meal? -
Insured By Medicare....completely Confused Help!!!
eyewonder replied to Christina2013's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really don't know what to tell you to help your situation, but to my knowledge Medicare does not require 6 months. At least the state of Michigan where I reside. Unless there are different rules for different states. Good Luck
