I'm going to try to post pics. I won't keep them up long bc I don't like pics of me in my bra floating around. I'm not sure if this will work or not I'm on my cell and my daughter has been trying to tell me how to do this. The pics on the left are me at around 152-155 and 24% body fat if I remember correctly. The ones on the right were taken last night. 142 pounds and 18% body fat. My trainer said my body fat probably went down a couple since she checked it last month.

Anxious to hear what this is about.

Yes, 4 weeks. I was strict about my clean eating and my fasting days. I have come to realize that if I stick to it I lose, if I start having snacks I maintain. Also, I lose big chunks at a time and then I go a long period without any loss at all. My last big chunk occurred before Thanksgiving, I think, so I was ready for another loss. This has been the same for me even before surgery.

Sheila!!! So happy you are back. Every day I come looking for you and you aren't here, but now you are! Hope you are feeling better soon. I can't even imagine being back in school at my age. I am trying to study to become a personal trainer and that it hard for me. Congrats to you for being almost done with school. I had to laugh about the fudge comment you made. My son came home yesterday and said his friend wants me to make him some fudge. lol Who knew the fudge would be such a hit. Dee, I agree, I bet the stress finally caught up with you and made you sick. Feel better soon. Rest, that's what you need right now. Don't worry about the boxes. Everything will be there when you are ready. Sue, hugs to you because you are feeling down. Hang in there, and hopefully things will start looking up for you soon. Going to curves will probably help. Sheryl, I'm glad Steven has been able to help you so much. It seems as though you are helping him, too. I'm scared you are going to end up hurt with him. Be careful. You are a smart woman so I am sure you know this. Still, it's easy to get hurt. Ok, Ladies...I weighed in today for my weight loss competition. 4 weeks ago I weighed in at 150. Today I weighed in at 142.5! My trainer said a couple other people weigh in the next couple days so we will see who won after that. I had a doctor appointment yesterday to go over my blood work. Everything was perfect except my Vitamin B was too high so I need to back off on that. I also need to lower my thyroid meds a little. With this extra weight loss I am noticing a lot of extra skin on my belly, upper belly, thighs and butt. My butt, hips and thighs have always been my biggest part and finally they are getting smaller. But the skin...I just want it gone. I'm sick of wearing shape wear all the time. If I don't I can't stand the hangy skin so I wear it. Especially while I'm working out, even with the shape wear it's getting bad. I am going to start looking into plastics again. I went for a consult a year ago but I want to go again now that I have lost more weight. I'm also going to be looking into Dr. S in Mexico so I might have questions for you, Sheryl. Happy Tuesday, Ladies!

What article? I must have missed it. Will you post the link again, please.

Blah...that's how I feel this Monday. I'm assuming a lot of you are feeling the same way since it's so quiet in our group today. I have a question. At the top of the page there you can click to pin, facebook, tweet, email. Does that mean that at any time any of us can click on those things and whatever we posted can be sent to everyone?

Glad to hear Sheila is ok. Sue, what a pain about the boiler. We need to do some work on our house, too. My husband is not a fixer upper type guy and doesn't know how to fix much of anything and neither do I. When things need fixing we have to call friends or a repair man. It's a pain. I hate spending the money on those things. Is it normal for you to wait so long to have a funeral? Usually in the states, when someone dies, the funeral is within a few days. I agree with Kim, drink your water! That is just about all I drink. I have a 32 ounce water bottle that goes with me everywhere. I drink 4 of them a day which is 128 ounces. I also have green tea once or twice a day. I just make myself drink it all day long. It's a habit now. Sheryl, glad you made it home. It's scary to drive in bad weather! Are you wearing your cocktail dress in the picture with the jewelery? If so, I really like the top of it. Do you mind posting a picture of the dress? Denise, I hope you found your purse! What do your kids think of Bill? Florinda, when are you leaving? I love what the guys said to you! You had asked about my workout routine. This is what it has been lately. Monday is a double workout. Trainer in the morning and step class at night. Tuesday is boot camp. Wednesday I usually take off and rest. Sometimes I will do abs and floor work at home but usually it's a rest day. Thursday is boot camp. Friday is a class at the Y or trainer in the morning. Saturday and Sunday, I don't have anything planned but I usually workout one of those days. Either boot camp or the Y. It just depends what's going on and what I feel like doing. Spring will hopefully be coming here soon. When it's nice out I do running or biking a lot. That can be done with the husband and kids. I don't know how I can do all the baking I do and not eat a lot of it. When I have PMS I do eat it. Usually, it can be in the house and I will have a little here and there. I have had times where the carb monster has taken over for periods of time just like we all do. I weigh in tomorrow for the month long competition. I think some people weigh in on Tuesday so I should know by Wednesday who won. About 15 people started the competition but a lot dropped out through the month and it's really now between just a handful of us. Oh, the friends thing. I don't understand it either. Maybe someone else has an answer. Georgia, what was the talk of the secret group? Were people upset about it or was it just being talked about in general? There are other secret groups on here. We aren't the only one! I like our secret group!

Yippee!!! Congratulations Cathy. Happy for you!

My husband diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. :'(

I am so very sorry. My prayers are with you and your family. -
Actually, my current weight loss is 121 pounds. I will never weigh 121 pounds, I would really look sickly if I did. New oven is here and I have made chocolate cake and mini oreo cookie cheese cakes! My boys take a baked good to school in their lunches and then come home and tell me their friends ask for some so I pack up goodies for the friends, too. My teenager has all the girls asking him if I will bake them cookies for their birthdays...it cracks me up. He has brought cookies for a handful of his friends this year.

You could leave a bunch of boxes and tape sitting out so that while you are gone and he comes over he gets the hint that you mean business. Did Steven ever come to your house or do you always go to his?

Kim, sorry about your husband and his leg. Ouch. Poor guy walking around like that before he knew it was broken. I am happy for fast days, too. I love 5:2! Florinda, 5 min running fast??? Wonderful news! I so hate running. I will do it but I don't like it. My husband enjoys running so I'll do races with him but I'm not doing them to get a fast time. I'm a slow runner. When you say you have to find food what do you mean by that? Do you have your own fridge? Do you stay in a big tent? Do you go to the kitchen and look for food? The only thing I picture in my head is M.A.S.H. Denise, that machine would drive me crazy, too. I don't have any suggestions but to talk to him like others have said and have get an upgraded machine or something. Sue, how is your son doing today? I hate it when the kids hurt, so painful for a parent. Sheryl, I would assume keeping busy is helping keep you calm with the ex gone. I can understand caring about someone so much and being worried about them. He was a part of your life for so long. I hope he finds his way and can grown from all of this like you have. Are there a lot of reminders of him around the house? Ladies, this is an exciting day for me. I'm getting a new stove today! I can hardly wait. After months and months of mine not working correctly, I finally won't have to worry about that anymore when I am baking. I know a new stove may sound trivial but for me it's a big deal. It has a double oven, too! I'm already planning on baking as soon as it gets here. Today is a fast day for me and I have boot camp tonight. Happy Thursday, Ladies!

Sorry, Sue. So sad. Hugs to you and your son.

Dorrie, I am sorry you are having a tough time. I hope your marriage can weather the storm. We are here if you want to talk about it. The older I get, the harder I realize life really is. Hugs to you. Sheila, where are you??? Hope everything is ok with you. Check in with us please. Denise, I am so very happy for you! Sounds like you are in love and I hope that it is everything you want and more. So happy Bill finally cut it off with the crazy woman. Enjoy this time. Florinda, I have to say this and I don't mean any offense by it so please don't take any. I don't think anyone attacked you, however, I am sorry that you feel you were attacked. To me it sounded like some of the ladies were a little taken aback by finding out you lost your regain but you kept saying that the scale wasn't going down. They let you know how they felt and that was all. I didn't see it as an attack. I saw it as them sharing their feelings with you and moving on, not holding any grudges. Isn't that what friends do? We may not all agree but I do appreciate that we can share our feelings here. You have many times told people how you felt about things even though it may not have been the popular opinion. That's one thing I really admire about you and a few others on here. We all love you, Florinda! Kim, thanks for letting us know about Laura. I hate that things are rough for her right now. Hopefully it will change. Georgia, I will probably be making a trip to Texas again soon to see my friend who is having problems with drugs. Since we drive right through Arkansas I really hope we can meet up and I am serious about this! I would love to meet you in person (all of you really). Sheryl, glad the ex is gone and that you can now try to move on from this. I am jealous you are going to Orlando. I want some warm weather. I'll even take the 40's. Wanda, just wanted to send you a cyber hug! You are doing great. Not much to report here. When I weigh in officially on Monday for the contest I'll let you all know what I lost. I'm getting my period this week so I usually get pretty bloated and go up a few pounds on the scale. Happy Wednesday, Ladies!
-
Sheryl, I have to say something. I hope you don't get upset with me. Girl, you are skinny! At the weight you are right now you are skinny. I see the pictures of you, all of you, and I see skinny!
-
I also wanted to add that if I have a day of eating more junk than usual I do not weigh the next day. I know a lot may have different views on this and that's ok. I will wait until after I have gone back to my normal eating for a few days and then I weigh. If I have made the decision to eat that way I know what the result is from eating a lot of salt and such, the scale will be up the next day. Why torture myself and look at the number when I know that after a few days of normal eating I will be right where I was before? To me, it's just a mean mental game that I would be playing with myself, like a punishment for eating that way. I look at it as normal to have some days when I might eat more junk foods. This is just life, for me anyway. My disclaimer to this would be that if I was doing this day after day and not going back to my usual eating routine, then there is a problem and I need to step on the scale and make some changes.

Jane, one word for you...stress. I am a strong believer that stress plays a big part in hindering weight loss. Have you tried yoga?
-
Cathy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so exciting! Congratulations! Sue, 1 pound???!!!! You are almost there! I don't remember what a stone is, I need to look that up. Florinda, I hope you are ok. Haven't heard from you. Let us know how you are. Seems like people are dropping like flies around here. Sheryl, I think it's a date. Mind you, I haven't dated in over 20 years so things might be different but it sounds like a date to me. Fasting today and double workout day. Happy Monday, Ladies!
-
I wish I could say that I would meet you and Sue to go shopping when you reach goal! Now, that would be a trip!!
-
Idk what marmite or vegemite is. I will have to look that up. Sheila and Kelly, have fun at your parties today! Georgia, I think the brown sauce looks like A1 to me. I think I'm going to try some. Sue and Cathy, how far do you live from each other? Denise, so is the ex still staying at Bill's house 3 days a week? What happened with that situation?
-
Thanks, Cathy. I don't know why I didn't think of looking it up. I found some on Amazon, I may have to buy some to see what it tastes like.
-
Does brown sauce come in a bottle or is it something you mix up on your own? If it's in the bottle can you post a pic of it? I'm curious to know what it is.
-
Oh my, look who's back... http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/296346-back-from-a-hiatus/ I think it's bigcountryabs with a different name. Now we get to see a million pics of him in his tie again!
-
Sheryl, do you want me to come and pack up all his stuff for you so that he will be gone?
-
I like that the center you went to does that. That's the way it should be. When I started looking into surgery I went to meet with a surgeon here and the first thing the nurse talked to me about was a goal weight. That turned me off. She wanted me to give her a number. I was like, I don't know, I'm here to learn about surgery not set a goal weight. She wouldn't leave the room until I gave her a number. Ridiculous!
