    Has anyone ever...

Ask him nicely? Why don't you just ask him to quit being a schmuck and trying to sabotage you. I mean really. Is he that dumb?

    Diet Carbonated Drink

Jeez folks. I guess I don't understand. If your doctor says not to drink carbonation why do it. It ain't that great. It just seems to me that doing things your doctor tells you not to do is self-sabotage. Self-sabotage is one of the many reasons we got outselves in this fix in the first place.

    Clear liquid questions

Is it the lack of protein that causes the hair loss? My surgery is upcoming and I ppan to use dilute Isopure as part of my clear diet. Will this prevent hair loss?
  5. Got my date for surgery today. February 9th is it! Pre-op physical January 24th. All good to go. Took just about exactly 6 months from the initial info meeting till today when I got my date.

    Got my date

    A little scary too!
  7. I am scheduled for Feb 9. During the meeting with the ntritionalist I was given samples of no sugar protein drinks that manufacturers provided to the hospital clinic. For me, the Muscle Milk Lite chocolate was the best. I have since ordered 4 cases from GNC and it came UPS. 20% off with a Gold Card.

    Do you have BCBS Insurance?

I have BCBS in Maryland (although it's a National Account). required just the standard tests and the 6 month wait with demonstrated weight loss during the 6 months. Approved right away. Pre-approval 6 months ago and final approval taday when i got my date. I think alot has to do with what employer your insurance is through.
  9. I have tried to reply to several posts, but keep geting the "you must have 5 posts..." So here is one.
  10. Hey, target shooting can be good exercise. Especially the 200 yard walk out (and 200 back) to change targets:)

    And the stupid comments begin...

Well, you may not be as forward as me, but I would have told her it was my decision, my body, and my life. And, that I didn't give a tinkers damn what she thought. But then again, people say I am sometimes rude:)

    Sleep study on Wednesday!

Be prepared to wash your hair in the morning. Lots of gunk due to the electrode paste.
  13. I think you should consult with your HR department. They have to be confidential and then you can refer him to them. They will tell him that if he runs his mouth about your confidentail data he (and the company) can be sued.

    ANY FEBRUARY SLEEVERS

Getting my date on Monday. Hopefully it will be late Jan early Feb.
  15. Well, I have committed to the Gastric Sleeve. I started out 6 months ago with the plan to do the RNY, but after a lot of thought and research have decided to go with the VSG. I think that is the right move. 6 months ago my BMI was 55.7, but thnaks to Weight Watchers it is now 52.4 I am going to get my surgery date on Jan 10th, but am really getting nervous about all this. I have already had both knees replaced so I am no stranger to surgery. I am glad I found this forum as it has already answered a lot of questions.

    C-Pap and Bi-Pap Users

+1 My settings are 18 and 14. I am told I will use an auto-titrate machine after surgery until I don't need it anymore.
  17. Hi all, I am a 63 yr old widowed male. I had a BMI of 55.4 that is now down to 52.4 thanks to Weight Watchers. I am retired after teaching at Johns Hopkins University for 35 years. I have a lot of hobbies, two German Shepherd Dogs and a 20 yr old son. I am going to get my surgery date for a VSG on January 10th. I had originally started this journey thinking Roux-en-Y but after a bit of research and thought have decided the VSG is for me. Didn't consider the lapband from the start. I have now been through all the re-operative testing and counseling and have been approved by my insurance company. Surgery is going to be done at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson by Dr. Mouenoulmolki. I am getting alittle nervous but am glad to have found this support forum. I will be happy to talk with anyone who has gone through the process or is also considering it. This is something I have to do if I am to live a long and fruitful life. My biggest reason for having the surgery and making this lifestyle change is that I need to nurture my son into adulthood and I am the only one he has. He has had problems eversince the death of his mother when he was 15. I am no stranger to surgery, having had both knees replaced. More later as I go through this journey.
