    Question for MEN ONLY!

Wow! 41 years old and I've *finally* gotten the answer to one of life's burning questions. Well, hopefully *not* burning...but...I digress. You know how girls always go to the bathroom in pairs or trios, right? well, I had a friend who wore a mini skirt out one night and to the potty we went. Lo and behold, I see the skirt float to her ankles. I'm like, "Really? You didn't just hike it up? Now its all over the FLOOR." I guess its human nature to want to do things the same way as everyone else. Unless you're me... hahahaha Happy observing!!

    Fab 40's shout out

Hi Everyone!! I'm 41 and just beginning my the last leg of my weight loss journey. I say that because I've been "trying" to lose weight all my life, whether actively trying or actively denying the problem. But now I am part-way through the process to being sleeved, and I'm very excited. I am single with 2 daughters. Emily is 20 and is also going through the program, so we have a great built-in support system. Abbey-Jeanne is 5 1/2 and has the *opposite* problem- she is teeny tiny for her age but growing well....we have to force feed her. *sigh* Anyway....I have so many goals of all sizes this post would be novel sized. Let's just say I can't wait to be more active in all areas of my life and look hot at the same time. Oh...and being super healthy too. Yep yep!! My final dr appt is 8/24, so hoping for surgery in early September. Look forward to getting to know you all!!! xoxooxox Melissa
  3. Hi Shanna!! I'm Melissa, and we have some things in common. You have me beat on the age spread, but not by much....mine are 14 3/4 years apart. One of my daughters is 20 years and 3 months old, and my other is 5 years and 7 months old! I totally get what you are saying about fat mom vs thin mom...*and* your reasons for doing it. Good job!! **love** the "mechanical advantage" part, too... I've been using my weight like a defense in some ways...I am a loner for the most part...happy to be home with the kids instead of out and about. But when my big fat arse couldn't fit into a seat an arena football game, I am *so* over it! Went to the seminar with my daughter and ended up signing up right then and there. Looking forward to losing even a little bit. Good luck on your journey...I will keep you in my thoughts/prayers/offerings to the Universe (whichever you prefer...lol) ~Melissa
