I started considering surgery because I want to be healthier and to reduce some of the medications I currently take and hopefully resolve some of my health issues.  I am looking forward to losing weight and being able to do more physically.  I decided to have surgery and investigated both the sleeve and lap band....primary insurance wouldn't pay for either, but secondary insurance would pay a portion of the lap band. 
Am 13 days post surgery and feel really good.  I have experienced very little nausea, but some "indigestion" symptoms.  My surgeon prescribed simethicone for gas, and that has helped a lot.
