    SWEATING all the time.....

lso have pcos and i sweat all the time too! i am hoping after getting sleeved in july that will stop so i dont have to be self conscious about it! u will have to update us after your surgery!
  3. people who dont have to face the decision of having wls have no idea the amount of effort time hard work and emotional work that goes into it. i was lucky enough to find a doctor who is a primary care physician who also is a specialist in weight loss and bariatric medicine, and even with him he occasinally says inappropriate comments but i chose to disregaurd it because in the end the only person who has to live in your body is you, and you know what is right for you. unless someone has struggled for years they have no idea how upsetting it is. As you get further along in the process people will come around, and if they don't you can always find a bariatric friendly doctor, and they are out there! good luck on your journey and just keep thinking of the end result!
  4. my surgeon and doctor both advised me i could take small sips after my meal but they advised waiting if possible for the same reasons Griselda mentioned about backing up in your stomach and causing some form of acid reflux or gag reflex. I do not have my surgery until 7/6/11 so I can't say from personal experience just yet.

    PCOS!!!

I also am a PCOS-er! I have the insulin resistance, irregular periods, whacky hair growth, weight issues, etc. I am being sleeved July 6th and am hoping these things clear up along with my severe sleep apnea. I have heard wonderful things about the surgery helping with PCOS and although I am not looking to become pregnant it must be very exciting to know it can help with fertility!

    Aetna supervised diet

hey guys! i am new to the site, i am in the stage of submitting my info to aetna for approval so i can get my surgery date! but i am confused after reading this section, I have 3 nutritionist appointments completed, as per what i thought the requirements were, I have also seen my surgeons nutritionist 2 times on top of that, is this going to be enough nutritional information for approval? i am noticing some people only needed 3 months and others needed 6 months? yikes!
