Once you have created your ticker then you will need to copy it and then go "My Settings" and click the "Signature" tab on the right hand side of the screen. Paste it there in the signature box and then save it. You should be good to go!

Yes!!! I just posted something about it. It is making me crazy! I'm only 2 weeks post op but not sure I should be feeling like this. I know for sure it is not gas pains but rather it feels like something is pulling on my muscles. Sometimes it is a brief stabbing sensation. It doesn't always happen though. I can't figure out what is triggering it.

I was banded on 1/24 and I'm feeling a bit discouraged today because I'm still experiencing stomach muscle pain (not gas for sure!). It just comes and goes. I felt great while I was getting ready for work this morning but as soon as I stepped out of my car...bam! the pain started back. I could barely walk from my car to my office!!! I'm wondering if it is because of the plication. Did anyone else have the band with plication and experience these same symptoms?

Armymom - I'm so glad to know there is someone out there just like me! I had never had surgery before but thought I could do this with no problem as I have a very high tolerance to pain (or so I thought!!). I had my surgery on 1/24 (Tuesday) and was not able to get up and around GOOD until Thursday. I just feel like I was carry a bag around in my stomach that was about to drop out of my body and not to mention sharp pains in my port area...oh my! Went back to work on Monday and the driving thing was a little intense but it probably doesn't help that I have a little sports car either...lol! Each day is getting better, thank goodness

Hi Becky, I was banded on the 24th and was in a lot of pain for 4 or 5 days after. I was able to at least getout of the house on day 5 for a couple of minutes but that was really it. I don't have problems with nausea but I do feel a little weak at times but I'm not doing a great job with my proteins either. Each day does seem to get a little better. Good luck!

I'm 2 days post op and my pain is terrible as well. Hard time sitting, standing up and lying down. It feels like one of my stomach muscles is ripping apart. I had the iLap done along with the band and not sure if that us why I am feeling this way.

I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced severe pain 1 day post at the port? Meaning, unbearable to sit and get up from a chair or even walk for long periods of time. I'm not sure if my pain meds are strong enough or if it could possibly be something worse. Nothing else is uncomfortable.

Bandedgirl2012-I think that is my issue too with the pain. I was prescribed Hydrocodone 7.5 (1 tbsp every 6 hours). I called my surgeon and the office told me to double the dose to see if that helps. I will keep you posted if it does. You might want to check back with your doctor to and see if they have any recommendations.

Its just frustrating because I know others that said they went out shopping, got their nails done, etc the day after surgery and I can't even take a shower As everyone says, everyone heals differently so I guess it will just probably take me a little longer to heal. LMM2012, I am also sore when I inhale. I will keep you posted if I find anything that helps. Good luck to you both on your journey!

It is a huge decision to make! You need to be 100% sure that this is what you want or you will not be successful (like your friend). Ask questions, read, and pray about it! It took me about a year to finally make the decision to do it..I'm scheduled for the 24th!

How much would you have lost if you had not been banded? I think 20 lbs is way better than none! Take it from someone that is patiently waiting for approval. I would love to be in your shoes right now. Keep things in perspective....just think if you keep at this pace you will have shed 60 lbs by Christmas!!

My policy states that I have to complete 6 months of medically supervised weight loss program with no significant gaps. I have completed 1.5 years of medically supervised programs but I have 3 60 day gaps. Just curious if anyone knows what significant means? It is very vauge.

Borderline BMI with CIGNA 6 mo dr supervision req
readyinTN replied to BeachBreeze2010's topic in Insurance & Financing
I'm in a similar situation with Cigna. However, my BMI is a 36 and I have been supervised for almost 2 years but I have had 3 gaps that were 60 days and my doctor will not submit because he is 100% sure that they will deny it. Your physician will want you to try and loose weight prior to surgury so go ahead and get started. The 6 months will go by quickly! -
I'm just curious if there is anyone out there that received approval from your insurance (specifically Cigna) with a BMI under 40? I have a BMI of 36 and I'm nervous that I won't be approved even though Cigna states in my policy that is is possible to be approved if you are between 35-40 if you have at least one clinically significant comorbidity, which I only suffer from high cholesterol. I have been the same weight for almost 12 years now, exercise regularly and have been medically supervised for the past 2 years with no success! I'm super frustrated with my results and have found this to be my last resort and I'm super nervous that this will end with negative results as well. Someone please give me some positive news!

67 is the new 57, right? I think it is GREAT that you have decided to do this for yourself regardless of your age.
