So I'm new to this forum and was wondering, are there people on here who have had this surgery over 2-3 years ago? The reason I'm asking is becasue I see a lot of good and some bad stuff on here about the operation. I was just wondering about the long term effects of now having most of your stomach. Can anyone speak to this? Thanks for your input.

I can totally relate. I have never been "happy being fat" and hey Emily, you and I are kind of on the same time line. I should be having my surgery early August too/!

Hi everyone - I've been stalking this page for a while and finally decided to join. I want to have this surgery so badly. I went to a seminar in April and had my first consult last week. I'm starting my 12 week diet program which is required by my insurance company on Monday. You all seem so happy that you've had you're sleeve done and are on your way to a better life. I'm sooo jealous! But extremely happy for those who have already had this. I just feel like my life will begin again after this surgery. Today, everywhere I go I'm always the fattest person in the room. One day, that won't be the case. How did you all handle the waiting part?
