A couple days ago I posted a story called disappointed. After I posted it I started the 5-day pouch test and I'm currently on day 2 and in 1 day I lost 3 pounds!!! If u are struggling like I was I seriously advise u to do this! If u don't know what the pouch test is, it's on YouTube and on google. It's easy to follow. And I'm proud that stuck with it! I'm ready to get back on track.

I never heard of the cornell diet. I might have to take a look at it.

I had my surgery March 1st 2011 starting at 267 pounds. So I should be about 100 pounds down right? Well I'm not! I am so disappointed in myself! I got a job at McDonald's so that doesn't help! Living the college life of late night snacking and stress eating. I have even started gaining weight back! I believe im streching out my stomach;(. Please don't make the same mistakes I have made. Stick with it! If anyone knows ANYTHING that could help me please leave a comment. A trick or a tip that could get me into the same pattern as before. Any advice will help.

Im 72 pounds down. And at this moment right now I can't quit my job. I just got it and that's how I support myself. I am putting in other applications to other places so we'll see how that goes. I really do thank you guys for the advice I need to get my ass in gear! Monday I will be doing the pouch test. I have been looking on YouTube about it and from what they say it really works. They feel like they did when they first had the surgery. Thanks again!

I haven't tracked my food in a while because I thought since I got the surgery again whatever I want and still loose weight. I was wrong! I had the wrong mind set. At first I was in control of everything! Drinking protein shakes daily and eating high protein goods and eating in the appropriate servings. I guess I got cocky and look where it's gotten me. I use to go to the gym a few days a week but the last 2 weeks I haven't because I'm trying to get caught up on school work. I work and go to school full time so I'm always busy and always stressing. I heard of the pouch test so I might do that starting Monday because I need to change before all the hard work I put into this goes to waste!

Has anyone had their surgery done by Dr. Domkowski? If so please let me know because thats my doctor and you can share your experience with me,

i havent been on here in a very long time becuase i just graduated high school and about to start college so i've been busy. since the beginning of my journey to a new life i weighed 267. today i weigh 194! i can fit into a size 16 pants instead of a 22! i can fit into a XL instaed of a 3X! ive never felt better about myself! i havent really been working out all that much because of work and getting ready for college but i plan on either signing up for a gym or start doing the P90X. i know thatll be hard but if the tv ad is true then ill have a 6-pack in no time! i love getting compliments from my friends and family about how good i look. its a real confidence booster. this might sound concided but i dont care! its about time i had the spot light shine on me! its about time im the talk of the hour! im not longer the super fat friend im now the thick friend. i deserve the recognition of what ive accomplished. i was always the fat friend who had to look at my skinny friends try on cute clothes, i always had to look at my skinny friends being hit on by cute guys. so now its my turn! im a brand new me and im not afriad to show it!

About time to join the conversations.

I was also sleeved on March 1st and I made the right decision! Sometimes I wish I could have a big fat steak and I'm sure we all do but I'm 32+ pounds down in 4 weeks tomorrow and I feel great! And the compliments arent bad either. -

Oh I never had a leak and my doctor let me go the next day. Sebatian Hopstial in Sebatian Florida.
-
I stayed one day. If you have complications you'll stay 2. The most discomfort is the first day! I could barely move. But you'll be sleeping a lot during your stay at the hospital and when you go home.
-
The first couple of days you will have some pain but more discomfort. And a for a week you will be on a liquid diet then you move on to mushy food for either 3-4 weeks. I have to do it for 3. Then you move on to regular food. But you have to take baby steps with thr regular food. PROTEIN IS KEY! especially the week after surgery. Good luck!
-
I was also sleeved on March 1st! And I've lost 23 pounds! You'll have your ups and downs but you'll get through it.
-
Anyone who is over their mushy food diet and is on real people food, what food do you eat? Can you have like burgers, hotdogs, wings, pizza or something like it?
-
I understand where everyone is coming from and I didn't mean it as my diet plan I just meant it as a treat or something. Like if I go out to dinner with my friends or go to a family BBQ. I know I can't do all that everyday. I know I have to take my vitamins which I have been and they aren't the greatest tasting thing ever. I just wanted to know if those were possible later on. Thanks for all the support.

It's good to know that later I will be able to eat what I want. Do u eat fried foods? I know it's bad for you but we all need our kick. And how are you with soda?
-
It does help a lot. I'm only like 2 weeks out so I wanna see what foods I can possibly eat. What were you able to eat 2-3 months out?
-
Liquid diet isn't bad at all! Chicken broth, sugar free jello and pudding, and Popsicles, water, gatorade, juice. All sugar free. Yea it'll be hard when people around you are having steak or fried chicken but the broth is actually really good. I sprinkle a little bit of garlic salt for extra flavor. If you have any questions just ask. I'm about 2 weeks post op. So if you have anything on your mind just ask away.

I know this month will fly by but I love in the now and that's the bad thing. I know it'll get better and so far I've lost 25 pounds in only about a week so it's doing it job but like u said it's my habits I miss. -
I was so excited to get this surgery and I knew it would be hard but I don't think I can handle this. I LOVE to gulp down a nice cold drink, not this sip sip sip crap. And no matter what I eat or drink and no matter the amount I get sick. I hate this! I'm happy I lost 20 pounds in a week but I can't handle this anymore!

I take in as much water as my stomach can handle. And I was told that I shouldnt chew gum because of the air intake while chewing. And I actually started my girl time on the 9th. I haven't had one in about a year and a half. So this week won't be fun. Lol -
