Yes I did do my research and talked to my doctor, I knee it would be hard it just never really hit me until now. I know it wil get easier I'm just in mourn over not being able to be like I was. But I know it will all pay off in the end.

i understand that i need to deal with it, its just a big change and im just having a melt down. i guess the first month will be the hardest but it will get better im just impatient. will i really be able to take a gulp of water? because i guess thats the biggest thing for me right now. i know i might sound so ungrateful right now but im not! i love seeing that i lost 20 pounds in a week. this month is gonna suck and i guess I'll just have to deal with it. thats for all the advice.

I was so excited to get this surgery and I knew it would be hard but I don't think I can handle this. I LOVE to gulp down a nice cold drink, not this sip sip sip crap. And no matter what I eat or drink and no matter the amount I get sick. I hate this! I'm happy I lost 20 pounds in a week but I can't handle this anymore!

I had to do that also. I'm finally sleeved and I get to see him tomorrow to get my drain out. I'll be honest the first week for me sucked! I hated it, it made me rethink what I did. But after seeing I lost 12 pounds since Tuesday! Made me feel awesome! You will have gas pain and sometimes it's not bad, other times it's worst. You will also get nausus from drinking medicine or some liquids but if you take a bunch of deep breaths it should pass in like 15 seconds. And WALK! walk as much as possible! It really help the healing process move faster. And drink lots of protein. If you have any questions please let me know!

So I'm 4 days out and I'm still having discomfort. Gas pain and some rumbling in my stomach, like a hunger pain. And it worries me that I haven't pooped yet. I tried milk of magnesia but it was horrible! I thought I was gonna die! I got light headed and really bad heat flash. So I wouldn't recommend it. Any tips for pooping? Lol

For my liquid diet I drink chicken broth, but in a medicine cup so u don't over drink, it rele helps measure out what ur drinking. And I eat sugar free popsicles and I also drink special k protein drink. Protein is the key! And I did all this before the surgery too. And before the surgery I had apple sauce and pudding, all surgar free. And I am passing gas and when I was on the liquid diet before I did go poop. Idk I guess it'll just take a few more days. And when y'all went did it hurt?

Oh and I weighed in today and I lost 11 pounds since Tuesday!

I've been home since about 3:00ish and I'm still very sore. But hopefully it'll get better within a day or two. I've haven't thrown up at all so that's good. And I just took my first shower since thr surgery. If anyone has any advice please speak your mind.

Well it's 4:15 am and I'm getting ready to leave for my surgery. When I wake up I will be keeping everyone updated. I'm sooooo excited! As the saying goes "patience will be rewarded."

Tomorrow is my surgery day! Finally I've been waiting for this day for 6 months! I'm soooo excited a little bit nervous but I know everything will be alright.

Thanks for the advice. It will definatelt help me out a lot. What kind of protein shakes worked best?

My pre-op was last Wednesday the 2nd. And I received a call from the insurance company today approving my surgery! I'm so excited that I can actually say that I am 100% going to get this surgery! My surgery is March 1st and I start my liquid diet in about 2 weeks. Any advice for me to prepare for? What should I bring for my stay at the hospital? Any advice helps.

What clear liquids did you use?

I'm 18 years old and I'll be having my LapSleeve surgery march 1st! I'm sooo excited but I know I'm going to have such a hard time with giving up food. Ive always grown up with having big family meals and I want to know how everyone who's gotten the Sleeve done dealt with it?

I really appriciate everyone supporting and keeping me posted with their journeys. I have ONE more visit with my doctor on Feb 2 then on March 1st is the big day! I'm super excited to actually begin my life! Now people will see that I'm beautiful on the outside as well as inside.

Wow ur such an inspiration! I hope my surgery goes as well for me as it did u. I'm 18 and my surgery date is March 1st so it's just right around the corner! Keep us posted on ur accomplishments!

Thank you all so much for your support. it's really hard for me to know what people my age are going through when they get the surgery. i've been looking for people more my age but i havent found any. so if you know anyone who's 18-19 please let me know. But so far i think im the youngest person to get the surgery that I've seen on here. keep me posted on your journeys. oh and how do you edit you profile info? ive been trying to put a pic on and edit everything but idk how to do it.

I knew I was going to be emotionally drained because all my life I've always been in LOVE with food. And now that I'm cutting back I know it's not gonna come close to the after surgery experience but I know that it will all pay off in the end. Thank you so much for your reply.
