Just wondering a few things about the pre surgery requirments.I think I have decided on Silver Cross to do the surgery in Joliet Il. I am just wondering if anyone knows if they recommend the psycologist, cardiologist, and pulmonary consultants? I would like to be able to get these approved by the insurance seems how the surgery is not. Does anyone know of any of these doctors in the Joliet area that are in the network for BCBS Laborers 75 insurance? If not has anyone had to pay cash for all of these and if so, how much did it run total for all three visits?

Ok so I am just getting started with this whole process and have no clue what sliming, PB'd, or getting stuck is????? What are these and if something gets stuck is the only way out making yourself throw up? I take it that you can definately feel if something is stuck?

I did attend the seminar but cant get an appointment until June 17th. Very sad about this! Would like to get in and get going asap. I am not even sure what doctor they scheduled me with because they did not say. My insurance does not cover the procedure do to an exclusion in the policy:( I would like to set up my other appointments now too but dont know who to go to.

I have been using shakeology. I order it from the internet. Havent got my band yet, but I drink one in the morning with skim milk and it keeps me good for about 4 hours. So if it is good now I bet it is just fine after surgery. Get on the beachbody, shakeology sight and check it out. It seems a bit expensive at first but it is a 30day supply and is actually cheaper in the long run that buying breakfast every morning.

Just trying to get some advice on financing companies and who to go through . My insurance will not cover the surgery so I am trying to figure out what financing company is best... I plan on having the surgery at Silver Cross in Joliet Il. Does anyone know if they accept care credit? OR any financing for that matter?

Hi I am just trying to get started with this process. I did work with a bariatric doctor all last year trying to lose weight and did great when he had me on the meds. The minute the meds didn't work anymore I gained back all but 15 pounds. I have never tried to put in the request yet for the insurance to approve surgery, I actually go to the first imformational seminar this week. I have been wanting to do the lapband surgery for a few years now but wanted to give it one more try losing weight without it. I am just wondering if anyone has insurance through the laborers blue cross and if they have approved the surgery. The insurance would not approve payment for any of the weight loss appointments last year and they are pretty ignorant when we try to get anything accomplished through them. Just wanting some advice if anyone has any on the best way to approach them and get them to approve the surgery? I also have issue with my triglycerides being way too high. I just really want to get healthy and stay that way and am not sure how much trouble the insurance is going to be and cant afford it without it Thanks for any helpful info~

Just wondering if they are making you pay the 12,500 up front or if they offer payment options, also what hospital and Dr are you going through? I am doing the information seminar this wednesday at silver cross. Didnt know where else to go and was referred there.
