Hello,

I originally had a lap band, surgery date was 5/27/2011. My starting weight with lap-band was 169, my goal weight was 125 my final weight was 140 but I was ok with that. My son was killed in June 2012 and during that time i was a nervous mess and I slipped my band. My band slipped and flipped so therefore I had to have it removed. I wasn't all happy with my band because I couldn't eat anything and I felt deprived. I decided to go with Gastric Plication vs Gastric Sleeve Plication because I have less than 50 pounds to loose, seem like from the complaints, the issue has been mostly not a lot of weight loss.

As of today, i am 7 days post op of having Plication Surgery. I have not had any complications except for an allergic reaction where I broke out in hives on my face. I usually break out in hives because I am allergic to Penicillin however, the Surgeon and staff stated they didn't use Penicillin so i am not sure what caused that reaction but Im ok now. I only felt nauseous the day after surgery but I did actually throw up the day after surgery as well and that i think was from taking the medication on an empty stomach.

I am down 7 pounds since surgery, I am finishing my first week on clear liquids and I will began my second week on liquids such as soups.
