Hey Stephanie - How are you doing now? I'm having the same problems, was banded in TJ and am not having success getting a call-back from my doctors.....grr........

Hello all, Unfortunately, my second posting to this site is in the Complications section.....ugh. How do you know if your band has slipped? Is it possible that coughing from a chest cold would cause slippage? Here's what I'm experiencing: A weird sensation when I swallow - almost like I have something stuck to the OUTSIDE of my throat. According to the anatomy pics I've looked at, it feels like it's happening above my esophagus. I have no problems with liquids but solid food (chicken, halibut) even when chewed to death, stays down but doesn't feel that great. Borderline sliming. I called my doc in Mexico (Ortiz/Martinez) and I'm supposed to let them know if symptoms worsen, i.e. - I start vomiting and/or not tolerating liquids. Yeah, ok - I'm trying not to panic. Anybody else have this? Any feedback? Thanks! Karen
