I was banded on the 11th and they gave me a shot in both thighs to slow blood clotting. The 1st shot was 1 hour before I ented the operating room and the second about 4 hours after. Both thighs were bruised and sore. The did one of those "stabbing" motions (like when you get insulin).

6 days past banding, I ate 1 soft scrambled egg. It feels like a hard little lump at the end of my esophogus. How long does it take to move? It will move won't it? I don't feel sick, I'm just a little scared. I go for my fill on Friday, do you think it will be gone by then?

Ok, I'm 4 days out and feeling a little depressed and wondering if it is all worth it. The pain and soreness is subsiding, but I'm not used to being incapacitated this long. I'm also HUNGRY! I haven't eaten since Dec 31st. broth and Jello just taste like dirt now. 2 days after surgery, my face broke out with the nastiest fungus. I look awful! I went to see the doctor who told me to see my primary care doctor. Maybe that is normal, but I hadn't heard that from anybody else. Maybe I just whining....

Starting my beginning stages of Lapband!

I had surgery last Thursday. My Dr is Dr Ki Oh. I come from a family of doctors and he was investigated and recommended by them. I am really pleased with his process. Surgery was a textbook case. I am suffering from some depression, but I think it is because I am hungry. Haven't eaten since 12/31. Dr. Oh is in Federal Way.
