YOU CAN DO IT! It is nice to have your best buddy with you on this journey! That's marvelous. I am still pre-op and hope to be banded about late Oct. Nov. here in Tampa. You going to your support groups? I look at the before n after pictures every day, and have bought a few smaller dresses and hung them off my tall dresser. I see it every day. I know my motivation will jump start when I actually see some weight loss... I am still playing with 3 lbs here or there. Good luck and let us know how you are doing!!

I wonder if one should follow up with Ins Co to make sure all has arrived> I do NOT like faxes. I get faxes in error on my job for SSecurity. and that's not where I work, I call them and tell them but othe employees just let faxes sit n rot. Poor person expecting an answer. I wished they just scan and email. I know I want to re-invent the wheel for us feds HA! anyhow I hope its all been fixed for you . You know, FEPBLUE works for US, we pay them, -they pay the Drs, they have to give you an explanation.

:blink:I filled out a questionaire, like: did you love your dad, are you happy bla bla, fill in the dots kinda thing. The dr talked about the surgery and said i seemed to be well prepared and educated about procedure and it lasted a whole 15 full minutes. I think they want to see if you all there, as in not looking into the ceiling, or looking frightened, way out un normal. I lost a son a grandson etc, and he really didnt want to know about it. Its all bout the surgery.

Grider replied to cyndiebear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my sons wives and grandschildren they look at al the before and after pictures, and i made fun and told the gals I was taking thier skinny jeans when I washed them and we have gone though deaths and lives together. Now its the MOMS turn to do for self. At work it is a different story, a few people know cause, in case my grands have the flu or are snotty nosed, I may need a ride to hospt. I know who to trust and whome not to. DO what is comfortable to you and yours and rem this is your journey, so onward ,,,One more Dr visit and final prep visit for surgery HURRY up October! -

I dont know about the coated aspirin, I would check 3 times on that one. I thought as long as it was coated it would not bother my stomach, well after lots of tests etc the gastro Dr explaned that all aspirin has a quality in it that makes the stomach CHANGE it's chemstry and that's why you get an ulcer, or errosion from a lap band. I always thought it was the pill going down. he said NO, its what realeased into your blood that makes your acids and bacterias change their normal function. As for any other pills, I'd go to my pharmacist and Dr- as they know how the work in the body and with other agents etc.

:rolleyes:HI there! Ms Love and Belinda... FEPBLUE (basic) here in Fla.. I am pre -op going to 2nd visit Monday, and had my psycologist visit last Thursday and moving forward. Thanks for you input as how the INS. operates, I have worked hard to get the paperwork ready for my surgeons office to submit when the time comes. I had on gal tell me it took her 30 days for approval in TX. and another here in my neck of the woods in 2 days. I am praying for a fast turn around as my last visit is around Oct 10,,, then the holidays etc! Being in Fla. all the hospitals fill up with tourists until April. I wonder why they come some times! I am really praying to get done before then. I have not lost anything so far.. month one. I do not want to get below my BMI of 40. I'll lose with the milk shakes I guess, but I'v heard if you go below- you can be turned down.. and if do not lose at all you can be denied,,dumb rules! Glad to meet my peers, how are you doing Belinda! and Ms Love, I send you encouragement!

I am not banded yet but trying to do just that,, change my brain, I do not eat huge quantities of food at one sitting, I am a grazer,, eat all evening long. I eat better foods since i started this journey, fat free, whole wheat, rye, sugar free fruits veg, etc but i still find myself putting food in my mouth every hour after 5 pm until 11 pm... weekends come i am home fooling around, out and about -I dont eat,,, but 5 pm or once I get home...I am doomed, . I dont know, see the psycologist tuesday, maybe there is a key i can turn off ? good luck with your journey.

New To Site and Lap Band
Grider replied to maresinn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yea I got alot of that too, horror stories they had, you know in this world you could become the queen of england and some one would harp how dangerous that is. you go with your faith your heart and ask all the questions to clear any doubts and talk to your drs, The forums are great for others views and experiences, but they are not you. I walk alone, in my journey, but when I am alone I know God is with me. Good luck
