    So fed up

How’s the exercises going ? And water intake ? I had a lap band yrs ago and I remember periods if nothing - the body becomes accustomed to the routines. I ate bit more and changed all the exercise routines and I started loosing again. Now I’m on my way to getting a G Sleeve and remembering my past challenges.
  2. Mom to 3 rem how you fed your baby. Little at a time. You have a baby tummy. So sips during the recovery period.

    Recent Injury Rant

Lemons ? So let’s make lemonade? Turn on the musics and dance. Even if sitting down. Just do it where it’s safe and it does not hurt. There are many routines you can do with the help of a sturdy chair. It won’t be long - you will bounce back. I just started and hurt my back with Zumba. I’m ok now and will try something else until I’m string enough.

    Pain after surgery

I mentioned the pain pills because in some other forums, I’ve heard Drs don’t like them and are not prescribing for this type of surgery.

    Pain after surgery

Chewable gas ex. Sipping Warm/ hot water, peppermint tea, and walking. I liked warm showers, make sure you protect the areas around the wounds. I used plastic wrap n surgical tape. That warm water on your back feels great. No tub. I had to do this for lap band in, then gall bladder removal, lap band out, and now setting up for gastric sleeve. Are they no longer giving out anything for pain? Maybe the type of surgery makes the difference. Good luck.
  6. Woot woot. May it all go well and as planned !
  7. Usually can stay 23 hrs for observation and not pay for hospital bill. I’m 69 Fri and live alone, so to each what they are comfortable with and Drs advise. We are all different.

    Incision Question

With my other surgeries I put the foam neosporin and they healed pretty good. The largest one took weeks. That was the lap band and the used the same one to remove it. If you more comfortable buy a big square band aide to put on at night for a bit longer. If gets icky. Call the Dr asap
  9. Get busy doing something else. Change your daily routine. And drink water or zero cal drinks. Need to occupy your mind. Only 2 days that awesome - norm it’s 2 weeks. And you will be recouping after surgery so maybe not be as hungry for a while. But You must do this so you don’t hurt your tummy after. Think positive and if can get some one to talk to or hang out with - get them. Good luck 🍀!!

    Nobody mentions prebiotics ?
  11. I had to have mine removed 5 yrs after the lap band. Didn’t change my life much. Had to take it easy on the fried foods. Seems common but not everyone.

Lizonaplane, If you read my whole text -you see I added the universe or the trashman, it’s a common saying - that really just means release the burden. You are free to think as you wish, the young lady asked for support in an open forum, don’t ruin it for her. This question was about her and her situation, not me or you. We are all on a mission and in our own struggles, have a great afternoon.

You can do this. and you don't have to be religious to give it to God- can be the universe or the trashman when he goes by. I have burned letters or things that were bad news on the grill - in other words get it OFF you. My dad used to say, if can't handle it today, give it 30 days,,, might not be as bad. Glad you are bit better today and you simply can't control anything but yourself. Can't always get all we want - mostly get kicked in the butt, but we are survivors - no-- we are victors! Hang in there Birthday girl!

I understand that hormones can change with weight loss surgeries. You have a lot on your plate but you need to stop -just stop with the battles. Let go and give them to God. One person alone with having major surgery amid making life time changes it is too much. Crying is good, but laughter is healing for the body and soul. first take care of you. Find a quiet place, and take time to just be still. Put in a funny movie - something lighthearted that makes you happy or music, a sermon. Call your Dr or support group or find a therapist so you can vent, but get help. we can’t fix the world, and sometimes the more we try, the worse it gets . Concentrate on you. The eviction thing, tell the attorney to handle it, it’s why you pay him. What’s in the past, try to let it stay there. Court things taking forever right now, there’s always a lot of back n forth. Calendar it 4 weeks from today. people can’t hurt you more than what you let them. You stay in control, of you . Learn to respond and not react to unwelcomed news. Wish you the best. just read your profile. Happy Birthday. For you and me both. 4/29/ 53 here. 🎊

    Soon

Will Stop thinking about food - that’s what will happen. You will think of clothes and the gym etc., after get past the recovery stage. I think with gastric is best not to buy too much clothes as you will keep loosing for awhile. Go through your list of foods after surgery make sure you have what you need. I live alone, so will have to prepare all before. I won’t have surgery until late June if I get a miracle or early July. Things moving fast. Good luck. 🍀

    Surgery and Covid

Clean -clean -spray, wash your hands wear a mask at all times you have to protect you. Is there none can help you out ? In any case you live together and might have already got it and not gotten sick. If you got your free tests - see if you did catch it, I think can still get free tests kits. Praying for you n yours, I don’t think as bad as it was with other strains, but if have to shower 4 times a day do it. I always keep the Lysol going. Call your Drs too

    Hello

Hi, welcome. I was on here ten years ago and back to have a different surgery. I’m still trying to navigate the new forum style. This is a place to ask- vent- and learn by others who have been through or going through. Much luck in your journey!

    Not Happy

One get on board with creating boundaries. 2- get your own snacks. Protein bars or whatever works better. 3- .air fryer? 4 stick notes on the frig or mirror to remind you that you are the victor here in this battle. 5 prayer or meditation to reduce the stress, or whatever gives you peace besides food. 6 see if one of the kids will help you, kids do make great mentors if they understand what you need. 7 stay on here for support or find a group - gym - another person from the surgery center or Drs office. Praying you get your mindset and strength back to get back on track. This is your health and your family needs a healthy mommy. ❣️ Keep us posted.

    May 2022 surgery?

Sometime the surgeon schedules the date so the ins co tries to get the pre approval done by then. When they submit they give a date as well, unless there’s something the ins sees wrong - it works out. Good luck
