I work with men and most of them very fit due to the job, so I only told some of my close peers, I will be out from the 22nd till Jan 2 and prob do 15/20 lbs in that time, ( hopefully) All some know is about my hernia. Too much tiki tiki, men gossip more than women. and all my kids and grands know,,, I threaten to steal their skinny jeans!! I am sorry you lost friends due to weight loss, I know that is hard, but also common. how can two walk together unless they agree. Move on and maybe your real best friend is around the corner.

TERRI- wow thought we abolished that crap when we burned our BRAS! what insurance is this, we need to all complain, because that is sexist... not right,,,,
  6. December banders are full of JOY,,, Congrats for another bander! Mia I started looking into it in May, then actually met with surgeon Aug 4, so the delay for me was extra tests, endoscopy etc, so now that my inners have been viewed and tested I am good to go. It will be the best Christmas ever!

    Constipation

I am glad we can do probiotics cause for the last year I have done this and wow what a difference. I am on the pre-op milkshakes now and I popped 1/2 a pill this morning. My metabolism might get better after I lose weight etc, but at 58,,, the probiotics have been a great thing to have. I do not know why they do not want you to take them, but after 4 Drs and bunch of tests, I found these on my own and solved all my digestive issues with out the Drs, so, unless there is a medical reason, will be keeping them handy.

Thats some great information! we should have our own forum!. I am preparing with $75 outpatient fee and $150 for the surgeon. The rest hopefully is billed. I do know different states and doctors have different fees and requirements. I pushed to be done before 12/31 as my CO- insurance is about $1600 already- so Id owed about $3400 max. Why do you have to go to same Dr for fills? I saw one Dr. here filling for $40 and Mexican banders go to him and he is in a BIG gen hospital, so any reason to have to stay there? I was also told by FEPBLU that they pay for band removal if they have it take it out. Not sure if they will replace or you have to wait again.

  17. I have been drinking the water but jello and sugar free popsicles and sugar free throat lozengers really really help. so far one maybe 2 a day, if that. coffee in morn with vanilla shake for flavah! and one day it was so cold I did do the broth. If it stays the same... I will be fine. just the after taste in my mouth is enough NOT to be hungry. blahh SOOO
  18. Yipee-- 3rd day of shakes here. lost 5 lbs prob water... but that's cool-and NOT hungry I am impressed with the shakes.

I got the info from the ins co, just dont know if Ineed money day of pre-op (19th)or the day of surgery, and if it's the $75 for outpatient and $150 for surgeon, or what else? I called hospital, she said the ins coord would call me sooner to surgery. That is one more paycheck away. I just dumped $1800 on a transmission, so trying to see all options. If I am billed for the 30% stuff I'll be OK.
