Is Keeping The Secret Possible?
lifechanges replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not tell anyone that I work with. If folks asked I told them that I was working with a professional on my life style change. Technically, not fibbing because this is going to be one for you. It's been over a year since my surgery and the cat hasn't come out of the bag yet. -

lifechanges replied to ampage1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 1 week off of work. Had surgery Monday morning, home by Wednesday morning and then back to work the following Monday. The week I went back wasn't bad but I was tired when I got home. -

lifechanges replied to Rainydayz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 4/11/11 and had my gallbladder removed on 6/30/11. It was not a fun ride! Passing the stones was the worst pain of my life. Glad all that is over now. Good luck to you! -

Is it ok to try to get pregnant at 4 months out?
lifechanges replied to Infernored's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor recommends that you wait until your 18 months out before trying to get pregnant. -
I don't think I got cold until I shed my"fat coat". It was atleast the second month until I started carrying a coat with me all the time.
-
Good luck! Best decision ever.

I had this as well and asked the doctor about it. He did let me know it wasn't thrush.

What was the worst part after surgery ?
lifechanges replied to Dadams2102008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had 2 stitches in my largest incision. It ended up the stitch was to tight and it got infected. He popped the stitch and i had to put a que tip with peroxide down in the hole and it was the most grossest thing in my life I've ever done. After all that I would still do it again but learned my lesson that I should have spoke up and said something. -
Should I rent a recliner
lifechanges replied to Toyia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I slept on the couch for the week I was home after surgery. When I tried to lay in the bed it was very painful. It felt like everything was pulling. If you prop up with pillows on your couch I think you will be fine. Good luck to you! -
I went in on Monday and was the second surgery. Was released first thing on Wednesday morning.

I'm 3 months out and have gone down 3 bra sizes. So I guess a bra size each month for me. Sorry to see them go but have noticed my shoulders don't hurt so much. If you love the bra it would be good idea to buy another one.
-
I had an incision that was high between my breasts that my bra rubbed against and was a bit uncomfortable. I still wore it though because I did not want to walk the halls with nothing on. After maneuvering to get it on it wasn't an issue.

My first Restaurant Trip
lifechanges replied to notsochubbybritneyspears's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is nice to get out. I still eat out once a week with my husband. I either eat a couple bites off his plate or I'll get a meal and have leftovers for atleast another 2-3 meals. -
Being Treated Differently
lifechanges replied to buchannon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I have noticed this as well. It is very sad how differently overweight people are addressed. The other thing I have noticed is that I work for a company that has a lot of over weight ladies. I'm now experiencing them hating on me because I have lost weight. I tell ya you can't win in any case it seems. Good luck to you on your new adventure as being thin!
