    3 month post-op dilemma

I'm in the same boat as you. I asked the doctor about this yesterday as it was also my 3 mth post-op appointment. I told him that I have trouble getting in the calories / protein in a day. That when I eat protein it fills me up right away and then there isn't any room for veggies. He told me that during this time that is was alright that my sleeze was new and it would take some time. He also reminded me about not drinking 30 minutes before eating, in which sometimes I forget and have a couple sips but I wouldn't think that would fill me up that much. He did not recommend eating until I was over stuffed. He told me to eat what I could and that we were going to follow up in another 6 weeks. Good luck to you!

    Raw veggies?

I was told by my NUT 3 months.
  3. Well last Wednesday started off as any normal day, so I thought. After being at work for about 45 minutes I started experiencing extreme upper abdominal pain (personal I thought it was gas). The pain continued and got so intense that I left work. I ended up at the ER and had a ultrasound of my gall bladder. The pain was due to passing gall stones. I was admitted into the hospital and had my gall bladder removed the next morning. On July 4th I was exactly 12 weeks post-op and have lost a total of 58 pounds. The problem is I don't feel hungry at all since I have been released from the hospital. I almost feel like I've started back when I first started eating solid foods after surgery. This is as far as the amount I can now eat. I was told that my gall bladder issues were probably from my extreme weight loss. Has anyone had their gall bladder removed after they were sleeved and have you had any issues with eating and drinking?

    Gall Bladder

I don't recall having issues prior to passing the gall stones but my surgeon did day that it probably had been going on for some time. I guess I was chalking the pain up to acid reflex. Just glad I can put that behind me. Thanks everyone!

    Exercise??????

I was told to start exercising as soon as possible. To be honest with you I certainly did not have the energy or will power at first but did eventually get into a routine. I was not allowed to do any weight training until about 6 weeks out. The trainer suggested to start out with what you can at first but try to do something everyday. Each day / week try to do more than the day / week before with eventually building up to 60 minutes plus every day. Good luck to you and happy exercising!
  6. Sorry to hear that. Thoughts and prayers with you. Keep us posted.
  7. Hope everything is alright. Thoughts and prayers with you.
  8. I've found that if i don't eat enough protein I will go into a stall. At week 4-5 I was on a stall but luckily didn't gain any weight. I also found during these times that it is necessary to increase exercising. Good luck to you!

  11. I haven't had any issues with the gummies as far as them being hard. When they go down i don't feel like I'm going to immediately vomit them back up. I chew them enough like we are to do with food. This has been the only way to get my vitamins in. I actually look forward to them every morning. Good luck ladies.
  12. I've had the same problem. I started taking gummies and haven't had any problems so far with the nausea. I wish u luck as that was the worst part of my day until I started the gummies.

    Bulging disks?

My l5 is herniated and I've noticed such a difference. I'm 5 weeks today and down 35lbs and don't have the back pain or pain in the s1 that I used to have. Good luck to you!
  14. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and so far I've lost 35lbs to date. My doctor recommends that you do at least 30 to 45 minutes of exercise daily. I'm doing cardio or strength training daily as I think it's really helping with the weight loss. Good luck to you!

    How much time off work??

I went back to work after one week. After 8 hours of being there I was tired but excited to get back to my routine. Like most have said its different for everyone.
  16. I'm 15 days post-op and the scale seems to be stuck. Right after surgery I was losing 1-2 pounds a day and now nothing for the last 4 days. I've struggled a bit to get the full 60g of protein in and I'm wondering if this could be what is holding me up from currently losing?
