Ask your bariatric Dr. they are usually the best referrals.

Mine didn't recommend heat or ice. Most insistant on keeping everything clean.

I love steak too- Only two ways I can eat it, I chop it in the food processer and mix it up with baked potato and cheddar cheese. The only other way I can eat beef is if its been cooked in the crock pot with lots of gravy. Can't eat more than 1/2 cup of it, but its enough to satisfie the taste buds

Well, missed a follow up yesterday cause my ride won't drive in snow. Doc dosen't want me to wait till Monday since he's not available after 10am today, Soooo guess I'll just have to take myself! I know I can do it, just rambling. Everyting is good, I can stand up straight walk without any problem, I just get really lightheaded if I stand up in one spot too long,but my butt's still numb! Couple nights ago my husband left the seat up, I didn't look and fell in! I can't remember the last time my fat ass fit in the toilet! I look and feel like I never had surgery, except for the damn drains. Two should come out today, I'm barely getting a cc out a day, the other two are getting about 20 a day. One produces some icky yucky stuff! Got on the scale and down 10lbs from surgery! Finally got rid of the 10 lbs they took off! Guess I'm not doing too bad for an old girl! Sue

!0 days out My back is completely.healed! My sides are almost healed and my front is getting there. I actually felt human again today. I wish I could find a way to conceal the tubes! At least its winter and I can hide them under a bulky sweater. I can walk standing straight up! Starting to get little tinglys around the scar area. I had desolving stitches and glue, so at least I don't have that to worry about except where the tubes are. Thank to reading everyone elses posts, I know not to assume I'm better and don't do too much. I get more excited watching the swelling come down and I'm shrinking. I'm still the same weight today as when I went in for surgery, so I know theres still alot of swelling. My fear is when they changed my port, I lost my Fluid, and everything is going through, Dr wants me to want a few weeks to get a fill, so I'm eating enough and some of the feeling comes back in my belly. So I can eat and not excercise I need to drum up alot of self control.

Day 7- Just got back from the dr. My back is healed up nicely! 2 drains can come out next Friday. I haven't taken anypain pills for 2 days. Anybody else get dehydrated? I kept waking up about every 2 hrs and drinking water. about 2 quarts!

I HATE drain tubes. 4 in the pubis area. Last night I dropped one- needless to say the neighbors got an ear full. Maybe he'll take them out soon!

Day 4-Actually feeling pretty good this morning. Didn't think I needed a pain pill butttook one anyway, just to be safe. I actually picked up something I dropped this morning, that was a major feat. I had to readjust my binder,I cant believe how flat my belly is and my my belly button is not winking at me!

Not too much pain, I'm getting alittle better moving around. Mostly tendor. He remove 10 pds of fat! Trying not to babble.

So far so good. No pain just really a lot of.discomfort. Morphine drip is awesome!

Got my surgery date- January 17th. Full body lift. Then after 6 months, Boobs and 6 months later, thighs Would have been the 14th but my surgeon wants me to have a low profile port. So- he says I'll be out of work for 6 to 8 weeks! But i read that alot of people were up and about after 2 weeks. I want to fly out to see my daughter after 21/2 weeks. So whats everybodys do's and dont's? Sue

It's not the right thing to do, but when I get super stuck to the point of misery. I drink an Alka selzer or coke. A glass of wine will relax you. Use this only if it's the weekend or you too far away to get an unfill. Malox works good

OK The countdown is on! Surgery Friday! Circumferal BodyLift and Pubis Liposuction Friday. Love reading all the do's and don'ts. Loading up on Protein and hitting the treadmill hard! Still extreamly nervous. Dr said 7 - 8 hr surgery. I hate being put under, and I've never been put under that long! Guess I'll load up on xanax the day before. He gave me morpine pills for after! Never knew it came in pill form. Got me a new reclining chair to live in, sweats and a lanyard. I loved the posts about what to and not to take to the hospital. Am I missing anything? Sue

Did anyone have to have a lower port put in?

I can drink diet soda just fine, I have a couple a week, however it takes me hours to drink it. My husband was banded with me and can drink beer.

Yup. Regular panties and NO tucking my gut here there and everywhere! You can tuck it in? I'm the poster child for muffin top! lol
