Hi all! I've been trolling for quite a while and first started looking into WLS ablut a year ago. First I decided on the lapband and then once I continued research I decided the sleeve was a much better (and safer/sustainable) option. I have my pre-op this Thursday, start my two week Protein shake/liquid diet Friday and my surgery is May 27th!!! I'm super excited and super scared. Not scared about the procedure, but just starting to get a little emotionally distraught about the whole thing. Am I making the right decision, will I be successful, are the next 7 weeks of hell/special diets/recovery going to be worth it? To compound things, I recently left my job of 7 years to start my own company, so that adds stress as well. Plus my wife just switched jobs (I'm on her insurance) so now we are on COBRA through the end of the month so I can get the surgery. Even with all of this, I'm still excited and hope I will be successful. Reading everyone else's posts really help me and I believe I have the willpower and discipline to make this tool work for me!!!
