I have been working toward having the lapband for 3 years now.  I had all but givin up on ever getting insurance approval.  Then 2 weeks ago I got a call from the nurse at the surgons office.  She got me approved.  I said approved for what?  ( I thought she was from a credit thing and was gonna hang up.)  She told me that she had intercepted a phone call between the primary care physician I had been going thru to get the lapband.  This Dr. had dropped off the local radar.  She told the PPC that she had a former patient of hers and needs a letter of necessitity.  The Dr. asked who for and the nurse gave her my name and the Dr. said she would be happy to do the letter. (Finally after I jumped thru hoops for her and then she moved away.)  My insurance approved me in less than 48 hours.  I am now scheduled for lapband surgury on April 26, 2012.  I start my pre-op diet on April 19.  I am so freakin excited.  I got new walkin shoes..........I AM SO SO READY FOR THIS.

My starting weight was 248lbs and I am currently at 222 lbs.
