I had my surgery 16 days ago. So far I have lost 10lbs. It was more painful than I thought it would be. I was dry heaving like crazy for the first few hours after surgery. There was so much air/gas in my left shoulder and colar bone! It hurt to take a deep breath. After the first two days, I was starving! The clear liquids didn't do it for me. I thought, "what have I done to myself???" I had never looked so forward to having cottage cheese in my entire life!! Now I am on the soft food stage, the pain has subsided for the most part, and I'm feeling more myself! There is still some pain in my shoulder that hopefully will be completely gone soon. It mostly hurts when I lay down. My port site is also tender still. Almost like it's bruised. I lost 10lbs in the first 10 days drinking only liquids. I haven't lost any lately, seeing as how now i'm eatting real food. But I haven't gained either due to much smaller portion sizes. I have no restiction yet. My first adjustment is August 9,2011. I am back to work now, but took the first two weeks off to completely heal. So far my physical activitie has only consisted of cleaning house, shopping, walking around the house and store. I will be back at the gym tomorrow for a brisk walk on the treadmill. I have quite a ways to go, but I'm looking forward to what my future holds! I'm determined to be succesful!
