Hello all. I'm having band surgery next Tuesday by Dr. Moazzaz at fair oaks hospital. Its been a long road started last Oct 2010 and my date is almost here! Starting Weight 355 Current Weight 325 Goal Weight 225-250 Anyone else from NOVA?

Has anyone tattooed around their port site, like a circle with the words fill here? Or a tribal sun around the port site. I think thiis would be kinds cool. Surgery date May 17 Highest weight 360 Current 330 Goal 240 I'm 6'7" tall I think I was 200 at birth!

Hello. I've been researching wls for about 5 yrs. This year I have insurance to pay for it. I wanted the vsg but was denied 3 times by insurance. I was approved for bypass in 1 day and after considering it for a long time I switched to the band. I've done all my pre-op testing had my nutrition class last night and am less than 2 weeks away. Just looking for support and friends to chat with. I've been on obesityhelp for 5 years but they don't have a mobile site or an app. So its hard to use from my phone. This mobile site seems nice so far

Hello all. Northern Virginia guy here who is having his surgery next tuesday at noon (or earlier they tell me). My last appointment is tomorrow. Liquid diet all weekend and Monday and tuesday is the day. Im very excited. I've been looking into WLS for about 5 years. Was denied the VSG, then approved for the bypass, but didn't want the rerouting, and decided on the band. Here's my stats: 6ft 7in tall and have always been large. highest weight 355 Current weight 325 Goal weight 225-250 Heck if I could get under 275 and stay there for the rest of my life I'd be happy. Of course if I got down to 225 I'd be wicked happy too. So jump on board, friend me or what ever its called here and help me through this process. Im hoping to be a new me by Sept of this year! Well after looking into this for over 5 years tomorrow is my Lap band and Im wicked excited and motivated. Over the winter 2010 I had gotten up to 360 and last night I weighed in at 326!!! Im looking forward to making it through tomorrow and getting back home to recover. My Dr makes you spend 1 night in the hospital which is fine with me. Wish me luck and if you are the praying kind please pray for me. See ya!

But I have no practical experfience so I donnt know what to expect. I would love a buddy to bounce questions off of from time to time. I'm 6'7" tall currently 329, highest was 360 and I'm hoping to get down to the 225-250 range. Thanks.

Asian part of LA, isn't that kinda redundant? My wife is from Arcadia, and her sister live in LaVerne! I would think the broth would be ok but the oils might upset your stomach.

So my lapband surgery is next Tuesday at noon! Thank God! I've been doing Protein shakes and a modified liquid/mushy diet pre-op in order to drop a bunch of weight before the surgery and its worked. Yesterday was my last dr appointment and I've lost 33 lbs. But this whole time during the day I have this knot or crampy feeling in my stomach because I'm hungary. Will that stop after surgery???? I know the level of hunger varies from person to person post-op so I guess I will just have to wait and see. I've hear lots of people say they were not hungary at all for the first month. I've also heard people say their hungar was greatly diminished. I hope this is the result I have cause then I know this will work for me and I will lose the weight!

I've rarely ever shopped any place else but soon will be going to regular places also to shop. My surgery is next Tuesday! Good luck to both of us!
