thanks for all the advice, ill have to clear up the number of weeks with the doc on 7/5... im hoping because im healthy other then the weight he'll only make me do 2 weeks... -
tomorrow I meet with the nutrionist, ive been waiting for this apointment for 2 longgg months!!!

good luck, my piece of advice is to call you insurance and see what they require for approval of the band...every insurance company is dffierent...

your not alone, i gained about 3 pounds since i first met with my surgeon in april.. i think its the stress of the pre-op, insurance approval and all that stuff thats making me gain weight... -
Well I see the nutrionist on 6/16.... this will be my first of six visits...counting down the days

I have medicaid through the state of ct, my insurance requires a pre-auth before they can book my surgery... I have to do pulmonary, cardiology, pysch, and 6 x with a nutrionist, the dr submits all the info and they make their decision within 72 hours... a long and frustraing process, but im sure it will help in the long run

My BMI was arround there too, I think if you BMI is over 40 it makes it a little easier to get approved...thats what my surgeon said

Met with my surgeon today and gained 2 pounds...impatienly waiting to meet with the nutrionist...

So im not to clear on this pre op diet. Ive read different things on here. I guess i have some questions Is the pre op diet required before all surgery? Is the point to shrink the liver or jump start weight loss, and why is liver shrinkage nesscary before surgery?

3rd Meeting with My Surgeon on Tuesday, super excitied because they might schdule my surgery... Only have a pulmonary pre-op and 6x with the nutrionist...IF im lucky I will have my surgery by the end of summer, stupid nutrionist is booked solid!!!

call you insurance company and they should be able to tell you what they require to approve the band...I called mine and they told me everything I needed, after all my pre-op is done they sumbit for approval and I get a answer within 72 hours...

Blood work, chest xray, gi series, pap smear, pelvic ultrasound, cardiology, and psch all done!

I met with my suregon today for the 2nd time and he informed me that the procedure will be performed inpatient, anybody else do the band inpatient?

Congrats! Im not as lucky as you i have to see the nutrionist 6times before my surgery. Im hoping to get my done by the end of summer. -
Anybody have the band in CT? Espically St. Francis Hospital in Hartford???

My doctor started me on a medically suprives diet in order to get my surgery date by August, but now my insurance company is making me see a nutrionist 6x before my surgery, at this rate I wont get my date untill considering i had to book an apointment out with her 2 months... I have 75% of my pre-op done expect the nutrionist and thats the one thing thats holding me back, and its super frustrating anybody else fun into problems with nurtrionist vs medically supervised diet?

My insurance only wants 6x nutrionist,cardiology,pulmonary,psch pre op... Ive alreay done blood work,chest xray, gi series, pap smear, pelvic ultrasound per my surgeon. I havent even seen the nutrionist yet, and i booked my apointment in april... She was booked out super far, at this rate i wont shave surgery till christmas.
