  4. What is the max calories sleever's should intake a day? I feel i'm doing pretty good so far. I was sleeved April 14th 2011 and so far I have lost 75 lbs and went from a size 24 to a size 16 pushin 14 and I feel great despite the difficulty I had in the beggining not being able to keep foods down and being hospitalized due tonot getting enough nutrition. But I can eat pretty much anything except fried food don't agree with me or rich sweets. But I still feel like I need some form of sweet every day. I need to regain control. How ever my true question is.....What's the max amount of calories should us sleever's take in to continue good weight loss. Thanks
  5. Just wondering if anybody else out there has issues while on their period. When ever it's that time I feel occasional nausiousness and don't really have an appetite. Food I normally eat don't agree with me. But once i'm off I'm cool. Just wondering is this normal.

    Lactose intolerance

I had the same problem almost to the "T" but as for me I did get over the hump of being nausious and throwing up and what not. I too couldn't handle milk products after surgery. But i'm 4 months out now and I can now tolerate lactose products, Milk, yogert, and so forth. I did how ever have to be on an at home iv for about a week to get me on track. And now my life seems and feels like a normal person. Just can't eat as much as everybody else. You'll get there too in do time. Be patient It's all worth it in the end.
  7. I've lost 60 lbs, my surgery was 4/15 I'm currently at a stall I guess I shouldn't worry. So two questions Can anyone relate and offer any encouragement as far as loosing more weight and the second thing is....Every time I'm on my period my appetite decreases and I feel nausiated. Is this normal?
  8. Well, I remember my pain or uncomfortableness lasting for about 4 weeks after surgery but one day it was just gone without me even realizing it.

    Figuring out what works

I usually eat 1/2 of PB toast or a scrambled egg usually doesnt matter much most times it still comes up. My food intake is minimal no more than 1/2 cup of food it's hard to eat more than that. I can say that it's better then it was a couple weeks ago. I just find my new eating & drinking habits challenging like drinking 64 oz of liquids a day, Im getting better though. What are some good protein drinks to have? One other question I have is when your on your period how is your appetite then?
  10. Im 8wks out from surgery and I've went down two pant sizes which is great. However, I struggle with the first meal of the day most times it just comes right back up. I sometimes hate to try new stuff because I never know if it's going to agree with my stomach or not. I still feel nausiated and occasionally throw up. Does anyone have any suggestions or know when I feel more normal?

    Trouble gettin the fluids in

I will certainly try the apple juice thing but as far as milk go's I'm leary especially after this morning it just comes right back up and it's been like that for a couple weeks now. Maybe I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

    Trouble gettin the fluids in

I find that drinking water at room temperture works better and warm tea. I will try diluting the juice. I'm sorta burnt out on crystal light and what not it's too sweet for me and using less doesn't appeal to me either. But I will keep trying to see what works. Thanks
  13. I had my surgery April 14th ..... yay!! so far so good I think I've lost 22 lbs so far started out at 306lbs now I'm 273lbs but the only thing I struggle with is getting the required amount of fluids down. Drinking alot of times makes me feel nausiated and milk is a definate no no. As soon as it hits my stomach I instantly throw up. Crazy ..... Any advise?
