Jenn, I am confused by this. :confused2: Say it again?
-
You OK Pam?? ...or just the usual run-o-the-mill kinda stress? When are gonna see your OB-GYN again? And you never answered me...are you taking iron supplements?
-
When do you start your job, Jenn?? Tell us again, what will you be doing? I'm so excited FOR you!!! We all are!!! You can bank on that. I think I speak for all of us here that it broke our hearts to see you suffer so much. I'm glad that you can get on with your life now.... well, at least after Thursday... Haydee - I don't think it's weird, some people just have more active sweat glands than others. Be glad! I sweat like a pig...it's gross. I've stayed out of the sun and tanning booths for YEARS now and am a big fan of the self-tanning cremes. The best I've used is made by Clarins (at the cosmetics counter of major dept. stores), but it's pretty expensive. The other that I like a LOT is made by Aveeno...and it comes in a "split" bottle, where you can "dial up" as much or as little color as you want. I buy it at the drug store (Walgreens). It's about $12, I think. Great stuff. (here's a link so you know what it looks like) I just got back from the Valentine card wars at the Hallmark store! jeez! Don't go near one unless you have to!! Ugly! Kat, Jane, Tracy -- Hope you're better soon. The flu is creeping ever closer to my house! If i don't get it, it'll be a miracle. I'm being such a good little bandster today! I'm having spring mix lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, with basalmic vinegar, olive oil and plain tuna on top. That's what skinny people eat!!

You crack me up, Haydee!! Richard wanted to take me out to dinner but we had to cancel due to stuff going on with mom. So I asked for a jewelry tumbler instead...LOL I got tools for Christmas! And i couldn't be happier! Can't wait for my package to come. I'll be your house is looking really good, eh? What all have you done already? I find it hard to believe you dont like cheese!? How do you eat queso and enchiladas and nachos??? What's WRONG with you????????? :confused2: Great NSV!! You'll have to wear a helmet now. KAT - So glad your son is home!!! What a wonderful surprise for you all! Gee, i can't believe you didn't just go plop yourself on their couch for a couple of hours! They would have loved that!

Switch from "why thinking" to "what could be possible thinking. Ask "what" questions rather than "why": What can I do to have more balance in my life today rather than Why am I a workaholic? What help do I need right now rather than Why is this happening to me? Do you notice the difference in the two choices? One leads to rumination and stuckness; the other to creative possibilities and forward momentum. --M.J. Ryan -
Oh yeah...Pam....we start laying out by the pool in mid-late Feb. too! This last weekend it was 77 and sunny. Today is a different story! We're expecting wind, hail and dropping temps to 38 degrees!! (Did you know that Tracy??)
-
Judy is just lovin' this guy! :scared2::tt2::wink2: I admit...he's appropriate in so many situations! Can't you just see Judy stickin' her tongue out at us? LOL Tracyk- the plan for your hair sounds really pretty!! It'll be time to post pics again!! Mom is supposedly being transferred from the hospital to rehab/skilled nursing facility today to get her strength back. i went yesterday to check this place right down the road from my office and arranged to have her moved there...it's like the freakin' Ritz Carlton and I am not kidding! Medicare and her supplemental insurance pay for everything up to 80 days....so why not?? That'll buy us some time to shop around for a place that is a bit more reasonable when we have to go to self-pay. Yikes. This place would be about $6,000/month!!! I don't think sooooooooooo.

How about graham crackers and margaritas?
-
Have you been tracking your calories and protein daily? sometimes a week or two doing that will really open your eyes to what you're really eating!
-
Yes, I do!!!!!!!!:cursing:
-
LOL ....... I just snorted Berry Propel out my nose!!
-
LOL!!!!! Maybe you'll convert all us sinners while we're there....but i wouldn't count on it! LOL I'm sooo glad to hear that! Well, duh! Cheese Enchilada and Margarita capital of the WORLD!!

Hi girlz- Yep, I'm a moderator now, too! Ya'll better behave or me and Pammy will crack the whip! Being a moderator isn't that big of a deal; I used to be one on lowcarb.ca. The board is run by volunteers (moderators & Big Alex) and it's their job to help 'keep it clean' by reviewing posts that are reported for breaking the rules, cruising the threads to make sure all have been responded to, welcoming visitors, and moving threads or posts from one area to another. They probably invited everyone with 1000 posts or more...something like that. I'll check in later...busy this morning!! Just wanted to drop in to see if Jenn had any news yet. TTYL!

Stabbing pains around band.
TerriDoodle replied to taz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is the pain around your port? Port pain is the most intense and most persistent after surgery...the stitches are attached to muscle, y'know. So yeah, continue to take it easy. The port pain can last for 3-6 weeks, but it gets a little better every day! -
Gayle, not every doctor recommends such low carb levels. Mine recommends up to 75/day, ideally. That being said, some people are more sensitive to sugar and even artificial sweeteners, especially after a long fast, like overnight. Mandi, it could be that you just need a higher protein breakfast...and some good Fiber as well...to stay satisfied throughout the morning. For example, I have cottage cheese, berries, a little Splenda and I sprinkle it with a bit of granola for fiber and crunch. Fresh foods are always a better choice than protein bars anyway.

Kat - there's no hurry at all.... I'd like to have everybody paid by May 1st, that's all. That's a long way off! I don't have to pay anything until we check out. They're holding our rooms with my credit card, but they won't charge anything until we leave. Same with the Drury in San Antonio.

Am I the only person who hasn't been sick???? Gee whiz you guys! Feel better soon!!!
-
Pamela - Do you know how to stretch your back? Lay on the floor, knees bent, then drop them very gently to one side then hold for 15 seconds...repeat on the other side and hold. Repeat 10 times. You only want to drop them until you START to feel a stretch...a very gentle stretch. Then, still laying on the floor, pull one knee at a time to your chest...again...very gentle stretch...then both knees. Then you can do a cat stretch...get on all 4's and arch your back like a cat...hold you tummy in firmly...then relax. Repeat that about 5 times. Then while your still on all 4s, gently drop back, arms in front and lower your bottom onto your heels...like a Muslim in prayer...LOL. If you do that routine 2-3 times a day you'll heal much faster!

Tracy ....you look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! Yep, you look like a skinny chick now!! You need to go post this in the B&A thread! Your hubby is a cutie-pie, too!! Go Tracy...Go Tracy...Go Tracy:bananapowerslide:
