To me it sounds like you're looking for trouble where there is none. The two important things he says are that 1) He loves you. 2) He here to stay.

What a pipe dream that was, eh?

Kat, who is your Kingman connection? Does he have a web store? Pammy!!! Owie!!! I hate cuts to the fingers 'cause they're so hard to keep clean and dry  Maybe good drugs are in order? :crying:

Oh, Laura, I just got lured by the prospect of cheap turquoise beads. The seller had a necklace with what looked like Sleeping Beauty turquoise (the best quality) and some earrings that I didn't particularly like, but thought I'd take them apart and re-use the components. Turns out that the earrings were not sterling although they were on a card marked "sterling silver". The description was very brief saying they were selling of MIL's collection of Arizona turquoise jewelry (normally sterling). Turns out the earrings were junk and so I over-paid for the lot. I asked for a $10 refund which was MORE than fair but the seller wouldn't budge saying I should have asked if it was sterling. What an ass. S'ok...it's only $10....but it's the principle of the thing. I just HATE dishonest sellers. The turquoise is nice, though. And he got a neutral from me...lowering his feedback score to 80% ...LOL. I know the ins-and-outs of Ebay...have over 500 transactions and I've been pretty lucky so far. I think this makes the 3rd hit I've taken...not too bad.

:tt2::cursing:I hate it when I get ripped off on Ebay!!!!!!!!:cursing:

Wonder how many bloody mary's Tracy's had so far? (That seems to be my usual drink in Vegas....don't know why!...rarely drink them otherwise.) I think I"ll have to throw her a text msg. to check in on her. Pamela - You lead such a great life these days!! Well, we all know how much you deserve it, that's for sure!! You paid your dues!! I'll be thinking of you lots and lots and missing you :tt2: We all will. We wuv u. TracyK - If I was any kind of friend at all, I'd be over there helping. Uh, but I'm way too self-centered to give up a nice, QUIET weekend in the AIR CONDITIONED comfort of my 'beading studio' to do that. There, I said it. I could drum up some awesome karma by helping you guys, but I ain't no Dalai Lama. Michelle - hungover much? LOL One of those days, eh? Thank gawd for "lemonade". I had my pre-op visit with my PS yesterday. Getting kinda nervous about my eyelid surgery (Jul 3). Not so much the surgery itself, just don't feel like being 'disabled' for 3-4 days. I'm gonna look like I got beat up in a boxing match for quite some time....and NO Makeup for like 10 days!! Eeeek!!! Well, I'm gonna get showered and get to hammerin'. Love you all... see you in a bit!

Hi everybody! Poor Tracy! I'd rather have my hair set on fire than be moving in this weather. It got up to 97 here today! I'll bet she is one pooped Vi tonight. I just loaded up some pics to my new Apple (learning curve and all that), thought I'd post a couple for your viewing pleasure.... One's of my family at Mom's 80th birthday (you can see the evil sister in blue), my good friend Lori is to my left (we were college roomies) and DH behind her. My son and his girlfriend are behind me. My daughter wasn't there...she's at camp. The other pic is some earrings I made that I thought were cool. Gave them to Lori and she's wearing them in the group pic. The third pic is of a cardinal who is waiting for me to go back inside so he can feed from our new feeder.

I'm just hammering metal today. Got another "order"! This is my 5th 'commissioned' piece. Let's see....if I do the math....looks like I'm making about $0.43 per hour!! Hey! a money-making deal! Shall I plan that cruise now? Well, it's fun to get paid for what you love doing, no matter how you look at it. Kat - sorry about your friend. What a sad, sad story!! :-( (((Hugs)))

Firstly I want to thank you for affirming that I made the right decision NOT to use Dr. Spiegel!! You might try Dr. Spivak's office to see if he will take your case. I'm not sure what his position is in that regard, but he is the sweetest man and very understanding and encouraging. I've had my share of too tight/too loose issues too....but not so much the on again/off again situation like yours. The two things I KNOW will make my band tighter in the wink of an eye is STRESS and IRRITATION of the stoma. Stress I don't need to explain. Irritation you probably understand.... if I've gotten stuck on something earlier, or the day before, my band may seem tighter for a couple of days afterwards. Not that you asked for it, but my suggestion is that you have just a smidgen taken out...maybe 0.1 or 0.2cc. Good luck to you!! -
I always think it's really interesting to see weight loss charts....especially when it demonstrates so clearly that weight loss does not necessarily happen in a straight line downward! Especially if you weigh every day like I do, your chart will look more like an EKG than weight loss! Here's mine...A few days pre-band until today (7 weeks):

Laura - BTW, I still get a giggle everytime I see your doggie avatar. Way, way funny!

(((Pamela))) You are so sweet. I hope you know we all love you, too...in just the same way. Smooches!! You're all gonna be so jealous, but me, Haydee and another bandster friend from the old days got together for dinner last night! It was just awesome to see them. I can report that Haydee really is strong and resolved in finding happiness for herself ....in whatever form that takes. Believe it or not, she gives all of us a bit of credit for helping her through it too. I know how she feels....I remember those days of feeling like you're wandering through the darkness but knowing it's all going to be OK because you have friends to fall back on if you need to. It's weird to be 'alone' for the first time in your life....but invigorating at the same time. There is no doubt that it IS good for the soul. You're well on your way, Haydee....with or without Juan, you WILL come out of this experience a better, stronger woman. Cheers! Janie - No matter what, you need to report to your doctor by phone or letter, that you're switching and WHY. A lot of times these guys don't even know that their staff sucks. Laura - Uh, yeah. We need to go hang out with your Dad in Tunica. They'll be more than happy to host all of us so they can get their money back!!! $30K Holy Moly!! My DH would be soooooooooo jealous. I keep telling him that you need to take $5K to gamble with....and be willing to part with....if you want to hit it big. We're both way too cheekin!! $10 slots! Oy, I don't know if I have the emotional stamina for that! LOL Sorry about the stress, sweetie! Ever done any yoga? Deep breathing does wonders to release stress for me. Ommmmmmmmm. Judy - You dawg. Can't wait to hear about your adventures!!! Parasailing is way cool...but I was 25 when I did it. Don't know if my heart could take it now! Sounds like you're ready for Tunica, too!! Gambling?? What's next....COCKTAILS??

This just breaks my heart. I guess I have a soft spot for 'troubled teens' because my son was one of them. I wish I could make all that go away for them. :tt1: Definitely going onto my prayer list.

Reminds me of the concept "What you resist, persists".... it's pretty interesting! If you're interested, here's more:

Michelle - Tell me, is having braces "cool" in MD like it is down here? I have NO idea why, but kids look forward to getting their braces?! I really can't wrap my head around that, so I canNOT explain it other than to say it's another teen brain fart thing. That or either the Orthodontic Association of America has been slipping something into the water. I've got to go in for a fill too...... wondering if I should wait 'til after my eyelid surgery on July 3....but don't really want to wait that long. I am totally scaring myself with how much and how fast I can eat. Yuck. There's got to be some happy medium somewhere! Oh yeah, it's called a 'sweet spot'! I haven't found it yet! I'm going in for 0.1cc increments 'til I find it though. Tracy, You're just stressing out plain and simple....and you don't have your old 'buddies' to help you thru it. Why is it that we can't get addicted to carrots??? I've never understood that.

LAURA - Throwing up black stuff is not good...it usually means blood and is cause for calling your dr. asap. It's usually described as looking like coffee grounds. You've got some weird sh*t going on now... just call and make me feel better, ok? HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JUDY AND SUZIE!! Heres the pic that Kat asked me to resize....Is she schexy or WHAT?:w00t:
-
WHO DARES ME TO BUY THIS SHIRT??? Omg.... I laughed 'til I cried. Prolly 'just me'. (Good thing Judy is in da middle of da ocean)
-
Laura, did you see my PM? Take benadryl. Sounds like hives!
-
1 year anniv. is "Paper" right?? So a picture would be appropriate! That, or a ticket to something he'd like to see??
-
No, Kat... I didn't hear anything from my cousins...but then again, I didn't expect to. They probably just think I'm off my rocker. Hell no I didn't tell my sister!! LOL
-
Haydee - What happened with the Med Center job??
-
Haydee -- Wow. It sounds like standing your ground and being serious about your wants and needs is doing the trick in getting him to face his issues once and for all. Begging you for more time?? Uh, he's had 10 years as I recall. He's trying to keep you anchored while you are struggling to move forward. Be careful what you agree to, OK? It's not like you're joining a convent or moving to India.... he knows where you live and what your 'demands' are. XOXO I know it's hard. The right thing is seldom easy.
