Way to go, Laura!! I'm proud of you! That's not easy! Tracy, have you tried Miralax before? It's better than anything I've ever used....not harsh at all and doesn't bloat you up. I think Jane takes it often, if not daily. Michelle, good luck with all that....look at the bright side, getting on liquids will be good for you and YES margaritas are a liquid!! Whew!
-
No need to apologize, Jenn!! We love you!! :smile2:
-
That'd be awesome, Jane!!! Thanks!!

Tracy, When i get constipated I always gain 2-3#. I think your body holds on to extra water to soften the stools...so yeah, I'd take some Miralax and increase your water at the very least. Damn scale is an evil contraption the way it messes with our head, eh? Michelle - I hope you get it figured out soon. Maybe an unfill for a few weeks would do you some good. Hope you feel better soon!
-
Jane - You actually would be doing me a big favor if you'd bring your scissors & razor to give me a little haircut. My hairdresser is on vacation for 3 weeks. I could use some highlights too (the pull-thru cap method)! However, I will NOT consent unless you allow me to pay you your usual fees (still a huge bargain)!

LOL!! --good job, Laura!! It'll have to be someone else's turn next year! -
You're a better woman than me, Michelle. I leave the house just as it is -- if the pantry and fridge are empty, then so be it. DH knows where the grocery store is! It's good for him to feel my absence every so often! OK, yeah, I'm really just lazy and selfish and disorganized. Kat - I missed it when I was reviewing posts...sorry...who was Marvin? She sounds like a sweet soul. With Hannah confronting her dad and choosing to live with us, things between them are tense and it's sad. It'll be okay eventually but her dad is doing things he doesn't realize are hurtful to her. He packed up all her stuff in boxes and delivered them to the house while we were out yesterday and he also told her he'd be changing the locks. Now, to her this seems like a huge rejection when in actuality I understand that he's being practical...but he could have allowed a bit more time to pass before doing those things and changing the locks is pretty drastic, but I understand he might not want her to access the house when they're not home or without their prior knowledge. It'll all work out but it was a sad day for her yesterday, and he didn't want to see her (on father's day). I understand he's just too raw right now and I tried my best to help her understand all of it. She's ok with it all, but it it's still difficult. She ended up having a fun day with her best girlfriend and they giggled until 2:00a. Today I call the attorney and get the child support ball rolling. The ex-H is gonna have a hard time choking down that one. Might even have to sell that boat of his! (ahem) Gotta run -- work calls.

Did ya'll know that we have over 26,100 posts in our Shrinking Violets threads?! That's a lot of posts!

Uh, Suzie.... what is the meaning of your quote? LOL Tracy, that's so cool that you're going to miss (emotionally) going to the gym today! That is such a good sign!! You're hooked! Yea!!!! Why don't you and DD get on the floor and do some good stretching together? Jane - thanks for the birthday card! That was really cute! DD and I spent a few hours at Ikea yesterday then went to dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday. It was a very nice day! Today I need to get my son's car detailed and get it ready to sell. I have to get it listed and pics up before I leave for Alabama. It's gonna be a crazy week...AGAIN! Guess I better get busy.

She said the fear of flying is getting to her and she just can't do it.

Did ya'll get the word that Jenn's decided not to join us after all?
-
WAY TO GO, TRACY!!!!! And June isn't even over yet! You might 7 or 8#!! How often on average are you going to the gym? What's your favorite thing to do there? What's your least favorite? When we get back from Colorado, Hannah and I are going to join the gym and go together, too. I am so excited to have a gym buddy! I cannot even express in words how miserable the weather is here today The temps were the same up in the hill country but SO much drier that as long as you had shade, you were OK. Here, it doesn't matter -- shade or no shade, you're miserable. Get used to it, I'll be bitching like this for the next 3-4 months! Ya'll have a good day!
-
Congrats, Pammy!! Yeah, I got your card...and noticed the return address stamp, too! Did you get that for a gift? That would be a good one! Michelle - how are you feeling now?

Good Morning, Friends! We got back last night -- totally exhausted from our week! I'll post more about it later, but I do have some wonderful news -- and proof that miracles to happen. Evan is doing very, very well and making tremendous progress AND Hannah is coming home to live with us -- permanently! So much stuff happened at 'family week' I can't even begin to tell you -- it was a difficult but extremely healthy process. All is well. Thank you, God!!!

[edited to say that this is the section where I had about 800 words dedicated to personals for all of you. I even had 2 for Judy -- so I went back to edit and lost the whole darn section with all the personals!!! I'm going to hang myself now. Below is what's left of my post. BLEH!!!] Well, I just realized I asked all these questions but won't be able to read the answers for a week! I'll be back in town a week from tomorrow. I am very much looking forward to it all. Long weekend with 30 friends on the Guadalupe River, then 4 days in a family program with Evan. I can't wait to see him. It's amazing coincidence that the place where Evan is, is about 7 miles from where we are vacationing! .....and the family week just happened to be scheduled on the heels of our weekend with friends. Amazing, huh? I hope to come home with some of this weight off of my shoulders. Signing off 'til next Friday. Oh, and if somebody thinks of it, text me and let me know Heather is OK. Love you all. T.
-
Haydee - Where are you off to THIS TIME? You're a travelin' fool! Tracy - I can't smell ya!
-
Jane - I am leaving for the Guadalupe River tomorrow and WILD HORSES couldn't keep me from going! So there!
-
Jenn - I sure will pray for Kev. I'm sure that's really scary. Where is the blockage?? :ihih: Ok, I thought of it -- the thing I love about myself is my general curiosity about a wide variety of subjects, my need to create, and my open-mindedness. Physically, I like my wrists...LOL (Thanks TracyK)
-
Laura - Want me to talk to em? Ya'll have a good morning -- I'll see you in a bit. Oh, Kat -- What do I like about myself? Hmmmm .... I am having a hard time with that one!! Lemme think on it for a bit!
-
Thank God, Haydee.... What a miracle she is OK. Your family must be shaken up badly. I'll pray that she recovers quickly!
-
Tracy, what do you say to your doc to get diet pills? ...and what do you get? My doc won't give me squat.

Judy - that rash sounds horrible!! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone allergic to the sun before....what is it exactly that you are reacting to? Jane - Good thing you've got the day off tomorrow! - you stay home and REST, ok? You've got important business in just a couple of weeks! You have to feelin' your finest! Hannah's coming to work with me tomorrow -- that should be interesting! She has an orthodontist appt. that's by the office, so she'll be hanging out there all day. I'll try to think of some work for her to do. Maybe I'll clean out files and she can shred all day. She'll be thrilled. Sleep well my little chickies.
-
Yes, Jane, those shoes had a WOODEN sole, not to mention having a 4" platform! They were heavy, too! We were laughing so hard. She walked in them pretty well, actually--I dared not even try!
-
Jenn - should you REALLY be doing all that 'frying' and 'baking' in the sun, girlfriend??
