JENN'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 15 PAGES? That's ALL?? I'm so glad you're back!! Now all is right with the world.

Just got home from the hospital visiting my mom. She takes these massive antibiotics that make her hallucinate a bit and believe things that cannot possibly be real. Get this: She believes she had a breakfast meeting with Prince Charles and the Queen of England this morning. It's like she knows how ridiculous it sounds, but she is compelled to tell the story anyway...and to her it is quite real. Soooooo weird. She also sees people in the painting that's in her room....but it's a painting of a garden scene! Oh, and the 'people' are constantly changing clothes and hairdo's! Poor mom.

I'm sorry Laura!! Why don't you ask him where that material was covered? I'd be curious! They offer Astrology as a science?? Or do you mean Astronomy?
-
Laura - what degree are you working on that you need Anatomy for?
-
Oh, and thanks for asking....Mom seems to be doing better but we'll know more as test results come in. She's had x-rays and cat scans out the wazoo and bag after bag of antibiotics. They might be doing a pleural effusion (stick a needle in her lung to drain fluid) if the test results warrant it. I don't know how she keeps going, but she does. I would have given up long ago. She's a wonderful lady.

Laura, why are you taking an Anatomy class anyway? I must have missed something along the way. Yeah, I feel ya. I took 6 hours of Anatomy and Physiology in college as a nursing major. They were my most interesting and challenging classes...and the ones I had to study the hardest for. I remember the anatomy part was a LOT of pure and simple MEMORIZATION. But the terms are difficult to memorize because, as a 'lay' person, you have no frame of reference....terms like "mandibular tuberosity" might as well be "thunkal ernot" for all the sense they make to you, right? Oh, I feel your pain!! I only made an A on one test and I studied my ass off for that one...I still remember it because all my friends were at the big UT-OU football game and I stayed behind to study. Have you talked to your professor about this situation? Is there some project or paper you could perhaps do rather than an exam to make up the credit? If it's not pertinent to your degree maybe he'd be willing to make that change for you? Pamela would probably have good suggestions, too. I read this and for some reason the thought popped into my head, "This is probably a sentence that has never been uttered in the Universe before." Eh?

Of all the beautiful things they have on etsy, that's what you find!!?..... Oh well, I guess 'art' is in the eye of the beholder!:Banane03:
-
Michelle....sell on ETSY.com!! You get lost in the shuffle on Ebay. Etsy is all handmade goods and the listing fees are better.
-
Sorry Michelle -- I have NO NSV for you today. I weighed 183.4 this morning and not feeling too keen about it. I AM happy for you, however!! Back when I was skinny (after Atkins and 158#), DH and I used to play tennis. I loved it! Go with it and have fun!!
-
Kat - I feel like such an ignoramus. I even looked back to June for posts explaining what is actually wrong with Abbey! I can't find where you tell us. I'm sorry, but can you tell me what's wrong???
-
I think it's CUTE!! Brings back a flood of memories..... Judy -- Precious outfits!! Does she need jewelry to go with that? :biggrin2:

((TracyinKS)))) I'm so happy for your family!!! Yes, we can all breathe a little easier now! When you got nuns on your side, you really got something! TracyK text'd me to let me know the news (Thanks Tracy!!!) and my first thought was, "Damn, we're GOOD!" (meaning purple power)....then I remembered you worked in a nunnery! Kinda took the purple wind out of my purple sails pretty quick! LOL j/k Prayers are prayers. Period. Speaking of which....... my mom is BACK in the hospital. That's where I was this morning. She's fighting this recurring pneumonia again. Laura - awwwwww. I remember the days of monitoring every little feeling I had while waiting for the period NOT to come! LOL Are my breasts more tender? Am I peeing more? Do I feel queasy? Bloated? On and on....... This is gonna be fun!

Dr. David Luethcke did everything. He's in Katy and is a very nice man. He was trained at UT and Baylor. -

Thanks ya'll! No Karey, I'm not 'bruised' anymore...although I still have some dark circles but nothing my normal makeup doesn't cover. Re: your face-lift decision... I was toying with the idea myself at one point. When I saw how much bruising and swelling resulted from just these two 'little' incisions across my eyelids, I said to my husband, "Jeez! Can you imagine the bruising and swelling from a facelift???" It's kind of traumatic! You are afraid you'll never look normal again!! Here....... take a look!....this is day 2 or 3 I think....(it didn't hurt, but man it looked BAD) -
Just 'cause you get to stay home with Macy! Everytime I think of you, I kinda just smile to myself ... I'm just happy for you, that's all. NO! I'm sure I could have easily managed with Tylenol and cold compresses, but I took Vicodin for 2 days....because I could! :crying: It was weird how it looked so horrible but didn't hurt hardly at all!

Here's my before and after....... I've had fillers around my mouth, botox between my brows and most recently had my eyelids done. Eyelids were only done 12 days ago and there is still quite a bit of swelling. Takes 6 weeks for it to totally heal. I guess I've spent about $4,200. -
Hi Everyone! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tracy - just wanted to check in especially to let you know I'm thinking of you and your family today. (((Hugs))) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Pammy - Welcome home!! I know zou will be happz to be in zour own bed!!! We are glad zou are back...can't wait for pics!! Kat - Whatever this is worth to you, my kids are both very sensitive to commercial toothpaste and get sores in their mouth from the SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) that it's in just about all of them. Biotine is the only toothpaste they can use and I can only buy it at the pharmacy...for $8/tube! Suzie - I'm happy for you!!! Judy - Wanna trade weather for about a week or two? Please? Glad you're lovin' the Wii! That's so cool. Your 'gym' must be getting crowded! TracyK - You go girl. Haydee - Hi!!! What's the latest with Juan? Any updates worth mentioning? The People want to know! Laura - Here are the before and after shots you asked for. Keep in mind that I still have 4 weeks before the swelling is all gone. The "after" should be getting better! I FEEL SO FREAKIN' FAT. I've gained 5# this summer. This has got to GO. I've been very good so far today...no sugar! I wonder if I can go one whole day without it???

Hi Everyone! Well, today is the last day of my vacation. I'm going to make it count by pounding some metal. Had a fun day yesterday browsing around the historic Heights area yesterday <sigh>..... it makes me so nostalgic for the 'old days'. Going down there is like being transported to the 50's ... all the houses are old (but mostly restored) , the trees are big and shady, and the shops are so cool! I bought this neat-o turkish candle lantern made of bronze and red hand-blown glass...but can't figure out where to put it. That's me! Poor Pammy has to come home. I bet she's sad. It sure was fun reading her posts, though, wasn't it? I'll kind of miss the z=y.

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it.) If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet. (O.M.G.!) A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (In my next life, I want to be a pig.) A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.) (I'm still not over the pig.) Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour (Don't try this at home, maybe at work) The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off. (Honey, I'm home. What the...?!) The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. (30 minutes..lucky pig! Can you imagine?) The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?) Some lions mate over 50 time s a day. (I still want to be a pig in my next life..quality over quantity) Butterflies taste with their feet. (Something I always wanted to know.) The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (Hmmmmmm.....) Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?) Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump. (Okay, so that would be a good thing) A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder who was paid to figure that out?) An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. ( I know some people like that.) Starfish have no brains (I know some people like that too.) Polar bears are left-handed. (If they switch, they'll live a lot longer) Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. (What about that pig??)

Hi ya'll... I'm too pooped to post. But here's a pic of my face today, still quite a bit of sweling...with makeup:

Oh yes, you are so right! The amount of bruising was quite shocking actually, but it's clearing up! Phenomenal would make me happy! I'm looking forward to good results. It's kind of weird waiting to see the results like this...one day at a time. No the pain was nothing really! I took Vicodin as prescribed 3-4x a day as needed...and did that for about 2 days. I think I took maybe 7-8 total and that was just because I could! I probably could have managed with tylenol but I like legal la-la land when I can get it. -

Well, I'm sitting here recovering from eyelid surgery...blepheraplasty... doing pretty well. I'm at day 8 now and there's only a small bit of bruising left, swelling is 'bad' only in the morning, and the suture lines are healing pretty well. I'll post pictures when it's all said and done...if I only posted this weeks nobody would ever get it done! I pretty much looked like hell for the 1st 5 days. I took 10 days vacation to avoid comments from co-workers and I'm so glad I did. 8-10 days is just about right. I can't wait to see the final results as the weeks go on! -
Uh, I think Michelle would be the expert on that one, Tracy! Laura -- That is soooo cool!!! Let us know when to look for him on TV!!! I assume it's televised at some point, right?
-
I'm here Tracy! I've been on vacation so just not as much time in front of the computer like I am at work! (HA! - They'd love that, wouldn't they?) Wish TracyW would check in!!
