Judy - When you were talking about getting your hair cut the other day, I forgot to mention that you remind me of Edie Falco...and you should get your hair cut like hers! This link will take you to a pic of her: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/63/Edie_Falco_2_by_David_Shankbone.jpg/520px-Edie_Falco_2_by_David_Shankbone.jpg

Kat, Michelle - Ya'll just flip me out how much you can cook in one day!! I'm doing good to cook 3 dishes in one day. I'm just not efficient in the kitchen AT ALL. I'm envious. Michelle as much as you move around during the day, it's hard to imagine how you ever got to be overweight?! You oughta be wearing your body bugg! We're heading out to DH's sister's house tomorrow. She has a lake house about an hour from here and there will be about 25 of us there. It'll be a fun day with lots of good food. I love her neighborhood and will probably take a long walk after lunch while everyone else is watching football with their belts undone! LOL Since I got Hero I've learned to really enjoy a walk after meals. It helps that the weather here has been picture perfect for about 2 months! I'll be on in the morning....maybe I'll see some of you then! Pammy - Thinking of you, darlin'. XOXO
-
((((TracyK))) I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!
-
Michelle - I am totally exhausted just thinking about doing all that!!!!! You must sleep really well at night! I think you're crazy!! ...but I'm sure your family appreciates it. If not now, then when they have children of their own someday! How precious!! Enjoy yourselves. That's what life is about...Mom and daugher making cookies together! Wonder why in the world they would do that??? What would that have to do with your CD's?? Odd! I'm pooped and didn't do much today except work and go to dinner with my kids and 2 of their friends. Sometimes when they're talking among themselves I feel like they're speaking a different language!! OMG! I am my mother!!!! When did I get old? Did I tell ya'll that my 14 year old daughter (well, almost 15) has her first official, for real boyfriend? YIKES!!!! He seems nice though so I'm not TOO worried! And get this: his name is MARVIN! (Remember Hector?) What is going on here??? Where are the Adam's, Josh's and Zach's???
-
I think we should start a new thread after 10,000 posts...dontcha think??? LOL Man, we can gab!!! Kat - your day sounds so fun. That is one lucky little girl!!! TracyinKS - How's Robby doing with his meds now?? Update, please! Suzie - Great news!!!!!!
-
I almost fainted a couple of weeks ago when I had one of those trips -- cost $280 and my basket was not even FULL!! Groceries have just gotten ridiculous. I can only imagine what this is gonna cost you, Michelle! YIkes. That had to be the worst sight in the world. I'm so sorry for the parents...just heartbroken. We'll say a prayer for your sister! Gosh! You didn't metnion that before, did you? TracyK - Hero has been just wonderful to cuddle with! His coat is like silk and he gets a bath every weekend, so he's always smelling sweet. He LOVES to be cuddled so it works out good for all of us. That's one of the main reasons I like big dogs....the cuddle factor! We're all just crazy about him and he's spoiled rotten.
-
Tracy - I got my flying monkey, too!!! I had to laugh! Hero has been trying to get it from me all night -- I finally had to lock it up in my room! Those are just toooo cute! You are so sweet. Judy - Love the lights...especially the back yard. What a great idea to leave them up year round. Haydee? You ok??? When I'm under a lot of stress I get crippling indigestion and I take an Rx for it called Donnatal. Is your pain above the band or below? Kat - glad you're back in business with your earrings and are enjoying them again. :cursing: Pamela - How are you doing today? Did you get your plans done? Hugs to you. I've been thinking about you all day! Michelle - did you meet your deadline? 14 pages in 20 minutes. Can you really work that fast? Laura - I love seeing pics of you. You're so photogenic...but they make me miss you  Anyone heard of the book, The Shack? I haven't heard of it but my girlfriend is sending it INSISTING that I read it pronto.
-
Hi all -- Judy - I was expecting some drama from your church meeting! No good gossip to report or nothin'?? Well, I guess you're good Christians by "not saying anything at all" if there's nothing positive to say! I didn't get sick after all, thank goodness! So I'm here at work, but not actually working. LOL Not much to do today except start working on the 400 Xmas cards I need to get addressed! YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! The only things I have to make for Thanksgiving (at my in-laws house) this year is Gumbo and a chocolate toffee trifle. My DH requested the Gumbo...guess he thought it would be nice to have a cup while watching football. And the trifle is just something I've always wanted to make, but never have. No matter what desserts we bring, they all get scarffed up! LOL Didn't do a dang thing on my jewelry this weekend except put together and take it apart again...twice! UGH. I wish I had some art classes or something to help with my creativity. Maybe I'll research some books that will help train that side of my brain (is it left, or right?). Well, off to do Xmas cards...... Ya'll have a good morning!

Hi Pam - I'm thinking of you sweetie. I can relate to what you said about waking up crying when you realize "he's still dead"...that really hit home for me, cause that's exactly what it feels like. I wish it were just a bad dream but it's not and it sucks. It just hit me today that this will be my first Christmas ever that I haven't been with my mom! That's a weird feeling. I'm sorry honey. I wish I was there. (((Hugs))) xoxo. Ok, I definitely want to get some of that body butter. My skin is RIDICULOUSLY dry (thank you, menopause!!). I use Eucerin lotion, which is heavy duty in and of itself...but I add Keri oil to it!! Can you believe that? So I need a really oily body creme. So you get the body butter, right? And I hate real sweet scents (vanilla, rose, etc. YUCK) I like earthy, citrus-y, or musky scents. Thanks for the tip, Kat. Plus, I've vowed to buy all hand-made gifts this year (it's an Etsy thing), so I'll get some from her, too. I took Hero to the bark park this morning then went to the mall with my daughter to find a purse. I'm SO picky about my purses because I buy one 2x a year and that's it. I'll carry this one until May! So I did find one and ON SALE so I'm happy...but tired! I've been in a MAJOR MAJOR creative rut and can't seem to get happy with any jewelry I make the last couple of weeks. Not to happy about that! I'll try again this evening. I feel like I'm coming down with a cold or something and I haven't been sick at all for like 6 years!! I'm such a baby about going to work sick, too. I might just call in tomorrow. I NEVER do that! I'll talk to ya'll later.... xoxo

Pam, thanks for popping in. I know when my mom was stroking and in the ER, after things settled down a bit texting my Violets was the first thing on my list....THEN I texted my best friends of 30 years! (((Big hug))) Oh, and I just saw your text about your dad 30 minutes ago. My phone was on silent last night...sorry I didn't see it last night. Sorry Haydee!!! That's a bunch o' stuff to be dealing with. And there's nothing worse than having to be at the office on a beautiful day like today! :smile2: Jenn - good to see you!
-
Lots of sad news as I wake up on this beautiful morning here in Houston. Pamela - my sweet friend - my heart is aching for you as I know you are devastated by this news of your father's passing. You thought you had a little more time :smile2: He was just ready, I suppose....and is finally free. There is some comfort in that, I know. My deepest sympathy to all of your family. Know that we love you and are holding you in our hearts. Denise - Your situation is every mother and grandmother's nightmare. I don't even know what to say. I know you have explored every avenue there is, I'm sure. Addiction is so horribly tenacious...my heart goes out to you. What I can offer you is a shoulder to cry on and lots of prayers. You are a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother and I am very, very proud of your strength and courage. We'll be here for you in any way we can. You know that. ((Hugs))

Tracy?? Did you drown in enchilada gravy????
-
18 DEGREES??!?!:scared2::laugh::scared2:
-
Mae!! Congratulations -- that's an awesome feeling isn't it!! Way to go!!!!!!! TracyK - I think that's pretty normal after an illness like yours. The body over-compensates for being dehydrated and it takes a couple days for things to level out again. Enchiladas are not recommended!!! LOL Just take a deep breath and go out and enjoy our brisk weather today! I wish I could lend Hero to you for the day....he'd get you outside for sure! Laura - you might ask your dr. or pharmacist if you might be having a reaction to your vitamins, esp. the iron?? Otherwise, I'd go get tested.....get to the bottom of it. Something's not right. Pam - You went to the GYM?? Are you kidding? After the week you've had? You're better than me!! I've got the expense account from hell to get thru today. My poor boss travels like a crazy man and I've got receipts piled up on my desk. Better get to it. Laterz.
-
TracyK - try to get some Pedialyte today and sip on it all day 'til you get at least a liter in. 2nd best is Gatorade or something like that. Then GO BACK TO BED!!!!
-
Ugh, Tracy! The last time I was sick like that I literally thought I was going to die....it was a bug I caught from my daughter. I ended up with some suppositories because I couldn't keep any oral meds down! I called a neighbor to go to the pharmacy for me and, bless her heart, she did. She practically threw the meds in the front door 'cause she didn't want to get whatever I had! I hope you feel better in the morning!
-
No Tracy, huh? Ugh, she must be SICK!
-
We always have two stuffings at our Thanksgiving -- I love 'em both!
-
:rolleyes2:(((((((((Tracy)))))))))):tongue2: You'll be ok!! Sorry, girlfriend!
-
Tracy - Any final word on the settlement???? Have you booked our trip to Tahiti yet?? Judy - I don't recall you mentioning a son that was disabled I'm so sorry. You must have had some very rough times with him. I worry so often about my son's future with his bipolar disorder....but schizophrenia is a whole other ball o' wax. Does he take medication and see a doctor? I'm sleepy. S'probably the M&M's I had for 'dessert' awhile ago. <yawn> <zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz>

Way to get mad, Sunshine!!! Woooooooo hooooooooo!
