QAWSDDDDA <-----Hero says "Hi"
-
Oh, I'd take french toast over pancakes any day!! My kids tell me I make the best on the planet. Yummmm. Jenn - when you say "bf" surely you are not talking about Kevin??!??!?!?!? LOL!! He was supposed to be history in SEPTEMBER!! Why don't you change the "bf" to "dbah"....deadbeatasshole. You just need to get out of that town....period. You have such a wonderful personality, Jenn...and beautiful to boot!! I don't for the life of me know why you sell yourself so short. If you would just get DETERMINED to totally ignore that dbah, read that book I sent you long ago, and get some new friends....you'd be in good shape. But it takes a lot of strength and determination to get thru those 6 months and you've GOT TO KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE: EMOTIONAL FREEDOM, SELF-RESPECT AND CONFIDENCE. You can do it!!! January 1st marks a new year, girlfriend, and is the perfect time to start your new life. Get it in gear!! We're here to support you and you are welcome to call me whenever you are feeling weak...I'll prop you up...I promise!

Pamela - I loved having a personal trainer...you'll be amazed an how much it helps. They really can pick out your weak/trouble spots and get you working on those. For example, one if mine was 'balance' and Rory really did a great job giving me specific exercises to help with that. They do push you a little harder than you would push yourself, but that's a good thing! Yeah, a personal trainer is definitely worth the money if you have it. After Rory left my gym I never got another one, though I just liked him so much and nobody else ever appealed to me as I watched them work with other clients. OMG, I think I've had 3 bags of popcorn in the last week. that's one thing I know I'm DONE with! Kat, I'm sorry to say it, but your son-in-law sounds like a total ass! How can you stand that weenie? How can your daughter stand him???????? Aaaaaaaaaack!! I want to come smack him in the face and I don't even know the guy!!!:cursing::smile:

We went to go see Marley and Me on Christmas day and it was really good. Anyone seen Valkyrie? That's next on my list. We have THREE parties today....and one of them is out of town! I'd really like nothing more than to get my house straightened up and laze around in my PJ's but we start at 11:00a and won't get home 'til 10:00p probably. One party is for my aunt's 81st birthday. We were supposed to have it last year for her 80th, but she got sick...turned out to be West Nile Virus! ...and she is really just now recovered. The other is my DH's family....3 birthdays. And the third party is for my best friend's daughter, Christie. She's about 23 or so and had a good job here in Houston. She got a $4000 bonus on Dec 18 and on Dec. 19th she quit her job and announced she was moving to Hawaii!!! She sold her furniture, her car, and sublet her apartment. She bought a one-way ticket, will be renting a room in a house with 2 women she found on the INTERNET, and is leaving on Monday!! My girlfriend is very stressed out about all this, as you can imagine. Who knows? Maybe she'll make it!? But more than likely it will be just a big waste of money when she inevitably moves back here and has to re-buy all that stuff she sold! She has no job lined up and is just planning to 'work in a hotel'....what, making $7.50 an hour? She has a girlfriend that lives there ...in a "hut"...that costs $1,500/month!! Her girlfriend is heavily subsidized by her wealthy parents, however. The other thing is that Christie has pretty severe arthritis and needs very expensive treatments every month. Well, stay tuned!

Hi Everyone - Jenn - sorry, honey but your writing is so cryptic I can hardly understand what you're saying sometimes!? What (specifically) is going on with you?? Do you have the flu? Oh yes. I think that tomorrow I will get up and throw out all the junk in the house. Maybe. Ok, well, all of it except the Ghiradelli chocolates. And toffee bars. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I've gained 2# since Thanksgiving which may not sound like a lot, but it is HELL to get off!! I feel like crap and I know exactly why! I am eating about 6 cups of sugar a day. I sure do hope I can get it all together soon. I feel like I've fallen into some kind of hole and will have to claw my way out! Aaaaaaack!

Laura - I saw this little 'onesie' on Etsy this morning... you'll love it! LOL
-
Merry Christmas, Everyone!! TracyinKS - Thank you so much for my luscious purple PJ's and slippers! The cotton is sooooo soft and exactly what I like to wear to bed! YUM!!! You are so sweet and I will enjoy them so much! I needed new PJ's in the worst way, too! The slippers are a perfect fit! ((((HUGS))))) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas Eve, my sweet friends!

Hi Girls - Sounds like everyone is enjoying the holiday season, except for Jane  This just sucks that she's in the hospital! I hope she gets out today. When my mom would go into the hospital for pneumonia and IV antibiotics, she'd be on that IV for at least 5-7 days. I'm hoping Jane wont have to go thru that, too. I'm behind in my Christmas stuff but have been having fun. My daughter's best friend is like another daughter to us....she often spends the entire weekend with us and she's been here for a couple of days. We've been baking and watching movies, even took a nap yesterday. So I didn't get anything done that I was supposed to! Can you believe I still have not wrapped one thing??? But honestly, I don't have 1/3 of what I normally have...thank goodness!! Well, I need to get started on my day, so I'll talk to you guys later! XOXOX

Morning! Well, Kat, your endless source of crazy characters never ceases to amaze me. My life seems so very dull in comparison. I don't think you ever said....how old is the granddaughter? If I were you, I think I'd just buy all three of them 'little somethings'....it's the thought that counts and any grand gestures at this point are not really called for, y'think? Anyway, I'm glad that all seems to be working out well...especially for your granddaughter. It's important that she knows her daddy....especially since the other 'dad' in her life seems like such a kook and not a very good male role model!! We went out last night with all the kids and had a really nice dinner. That was after another day of shopping. I slept like a rock last night...but Hero is in the habit of waking up with me at 5:15a and his body clock is very accurate!! So, I'm up but feeling quite exhausted! No matter...I'll be around the house all day today (yea!!) and will take a nap later for sure. I love coffee. Maybe something will happen with Jane today since the weekend is over! I know she must be freaking about all the revenue she's losing! I'm sure she was booked solid for days with haircuts. Did ya'll get the text that her insurance went up $300 per MONTH? Our health system is so $*#!'d up. Well, I'm off to go look up some recipes on the internet I saw on the food network yesterday. I'll see ya'll later. Stay warm!!
-
I got a text from her yesterday just saying that she was having computer withdrawals, missing us, but there was no news on her diagnosis! You probably all go it too, right? Poor baby!! I guess they're just giving her those IV antibiotics and watching her white count. We went shopping yesterday and I'm so excited....we got some Christmas china!! We've wanted to do it for years but finally took the leap. My husband is a sucker for this stuff (believe it or not). Here's a pic: Still gotta go out again today and my back is hurting so much from being out yesterday and carrying a heavy purse. I just can't DO this anymore!! :tongue_smilie: Well, hope you all have a great day! XOXO!

Pamela + Karioke = Hysterical Visual I have no trouble believing they had to pry the mike from your hands!! Wish I was there -- sounds like a blast! Tracy - I feel ya, sister. Hannah and her girlfriend made chocolate chip cookies last night and they each had ONE. Who eats ONE chocolate warm chocolate chip cookie??? So now there's a whole cookie jar brimming with 'em and when I was pouring my coffee this morning and staring at that jar (or rather it was staring at me...taunting me), I glared back at it and challenged myself for the day: Not One Cookie Today. Gosh, I remember "back in the day" you were so totally the model bandster!! You had your protein shakes, NO white foods, etc....and you were dropping weight like crazy and never said a word until somebody noticed your ticker! Well, we were all on fire then. But it was EASY when the scale kept rewarding us every day or two ! It's a lot harder now. I wonder how much of it has to do with our self-talk and expectations? When we were first banded we EXPECTED the weight to drop off easily and it did. Then when the seeds of doubt started to be planted (when the losses slowed down) our expectations of failure started creeping back into our thoughts and VOILA! ....our struggles began. Somehow we've got to find the fire again, adjust our expectations, check the negative self-talk, and yes-- stick to the freaking rules!! The biggest rule violations I have allowed to creep in are these: 1) I allow myself to eat after 7:00p 2) I allow small sips of drink with my meals and don't wait the full 30 mins before resuming drinking regularly 3) Allowing all kinds of sugar and junk food! 4) Not getting near enough protein 5) Not getting near enough exercise I can always choose differently! I have free will!!

I did actually check those out at the store this evening! Oh WAIT! I just noticed you called it a Poop Tart!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!
-
No Suzie -- I think your siggy says it all! "Drink Drink and Drink MORE"!!
-
This freaking CRACKED ME UP!!! (right after I ate a large, warm chocolate chip cookie right from the oven!) So my carb count for the day is 1,329. I ate so un-healthily (is that a word?) today that by all rights I should be dead. All I had was carbs and cholesterol.
-
Counting carbs, are ya? What are you up to, about 800? As long as you count them, that's what matters. My piehole report is soooooo much worse than ya'll's! (yes, that's a word!!) B: Oatmeal B#2: Biscotti B#3: nuts and just a few M&Ms L: 2 "monster tacos" from JIB and about 10 french fries S: 2 Godiva chocolates and 3 chocolate-dipped wafer cookies ....and the day is far from over.
-
Judy - That's such a shame about your play!!!
-
This is for any newbies that come to read our thread and shake their heads at our 'diets': Yeah, we suck at this diet thing after 1.5 years...... but we're the coolest chicklets on the planet! So, DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO!!...just like TracyK says! Hmmmmm ... that should be all of our signatures! LOL
-
And I Love THIS! LOL!! I am totally worthless today. I've already had 3 breakfasts, too: cup of oatmeal, a biscotti and now nuts with a few m&m's.
-
 Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Well, actually it did kinda help...and she didn't talk down to me. It was more like trying to figure out why my band is so finnicky.... one day I can eat a whole sandwich and the next day barely only 1/4. We went over things and determined that stress probably is the culprit....which varies from day to day. She actually said I was very lucky...that I can eat almost whatever I want and not gain any weight...that there are so many who have to watch every single morsel, exercise vigorously and diligently to get to 180 and hope to stay there. So it was a good little pep talk. Woof!!
-
Ok, so this gift makes mine look like total chopped liver!! Thanks a LOT, Suzanne! Oh, I totally do this too. That's what had me so busy last night! Ok, just got back from my surgeon's office and -- NO FILL for me! :cursing: Really, it's probably for the best. They did an x-ray and looks like I'm right where I should be restriction-wise. So we went over the bandster rules, she (the nurse) told me I look great, just get a little more exercise and I should be able to get another 20 off easy. :w00t: So....that's where I stand.
-
My DH is perfectly content to live with a big pile of mess all around him. I honestly think that, if left to his own devices, that he'd be like one of those people on the news you see with papers piled to the roof and Jack-in-the-Box bags full of french fries left over from 1986.
-
Well, the difference here Pamela is that he makes the mess, I either clean it or *I* pay for someone to clean it!
-
Pamela - I meant to mention to you that DH was telling me about an interview he saw on TV the other day. It was with an economist who predicted this whole banking/mortgage crisis way back in '05 or something. In this interview he was saying that we've really only BEGUN to see the slide in real estate prices and that he predicts it will get much worse in 2009 before it gets any better. So, just do your research and proceed with caution, OK? I'm sure you will.
