Morning! I just noticed that the post I thought I posted last night didn't post. (That's probably not proper english, huh?) lol Hannah and I went to go see 7 Pounds (Will Smith) last night -- have any of you seen it? I'd like to hear what you thought of it. Hannah and I loved it, but it was very touch and go for the 1st hour! Kinda slow at first, but LOVED how the story resolves itself in the end. I can't give you any details or it would ruin the whole thing. So.... you just have to trust me. When it comes on cable, make sure you see it. I also got the vacuum out yesterday, hooked up the attachments and cleaned every baseboard, under every bed and every chair/couch in this house. Dirty baseboards make me crazy for some reason. Also made ham and cheese Soup but added a can of Rotel, used 4 oz of queso blanco (quesadilla cheese) and 8 oz of Velveeta light; doubled the ham skipped the tofu. Instead of adding the sour cream to the pot of soup, I serve a dollop in the bowl. LOL So we're all bastardizing the recipe in our own ways! Anyway....it was good and look forward to having some today 'cause I know it will be even better. Jenn - if you screw this up you'll have a lot more ass kicking than from just your girlfriend to deal with!!!!! TracyK - enjoying your meds? Jane - you sure are quiet lately! Don't hide in your shell--you know that's not the way to 'get back in the game' and it's not time to give up!! Well, hate to taunt you snowbirds, but I'm going to get dressed and enjoy our beautiful weather we're having today!! (See this is why we endure 95 degrees in the summer with 80% humidity!) Laura - I suggest you get on the internet and figure out what to do about those pipes ASAP....and keep a close eye on your house...don't leave for long periods in case they do bust and start flooding the house! Been there, done that!!

I've always wanted to cook spaghetti squash...don't know why I haven't?! I love squash! I will try to remember to pick some up at the store today. Sounds good. What a bummer!! I'll bet that happens a LOT. Kat - you would know better than anyone...and I assume you'd be all over it....but sounds to me like she is being (at least) emotionally and psychologically abused. Are you concerned about that? LOL :eek: I've heard of that book...think I almost bought it once. I probably could have used that yesterday. I was popping food in my mouth at regular intervals and I KNOW it all starts with sugar!! If I allow myself sugar before lunch, the whole day is one big sugar-quest. I know this!! But I do it anyway!!!! :cursing: Ahhhhhh, this is sooooooo nice to hear!!! I just wanna do a jig!! Does anyone have a recipe for soup that I can use a ham bone that I have? The catch is that it can't have peas or such in it. The only kind of beans I like are white northern beans. Yikes! I looked up some answers to that question and you're right, Judy....in most cases. I have a very long history of excellent credit so closing these two accounts shouldn't make much of a dent. Also, I don't plan on applying for any kind of credit or loan ever again, so it shouldn't be a problem in my case. But, in general, you are right...I should have just left them open to keep my good credit score perfectly intact beyond the next 10 years. (It doesn't really send up a red flag, it just eliminates good history from the report.) I won't close anymore. However, I just took such enormous pleasure in telling Chase Bank to "shove it". I've gradually moved all my business to Capital One and should have done so long ago!

Hi everyone - nothing grand to report here, just the usual. I did close two of my credit card accounts today! I took most of the bonus money I made last year that was just sitting in savings and paid a big chunk of my car off, then came up with a 'snowball' plan to get all my debt paid off (2 car pmts) by Aug 2010. I'm saving $2,500 in interest and paying them off THREE years early if all goes according to plan. This is very exciting for me! I have never NOT had debt!! When my mother's estate is finally settled and after the taxes are paid (bleh) I may even be able to pay them off completely before year end. I Dave Ramsey!! I also sent an email to my ex asking him to review my "kids budget" and see if we can make it more equitable. I'm most definitely paying more than he is. We'll see how that goes over! Ha! Evan went to see his psych today...she increased the dosage of his medications. Whew. He goes to see his therapist on Thursday. His car is in the shop getting repaired and I have an attorney working on getting his tickets 'fixed', so he's in better spirits as these problems are getting straightened out one by one. Granted, I've had to walk him through it and take care of some things myself, but that's ok...he's functioning quite well for now. He was really overwhelmed. We also dropped one of his classes for the spring semester so he's taking 12 hours instead of 15. Judy - I'm so proud of you for walking the straight line!! You must be thrilled with yourself!! Is Bobster walking it with you?

Denise, the trip is June 25-29! You should think about coming! The house is awesome!

Haydee/Tracy - I'm not paying for my airfare this month just because it's not in my January budget and I don't use credit cards anymore! $305 sounds like a fair price, though. I'll purchase in Feb or March probably. Haydee - if you don't mind driving in AL and renting the car, that'd be awesome. I did see Alamo full size for $15/day. you won't find a cheaper deal than that. Cost to cancel is $0, so might as well reserve at that price now!
