Oh, I WILL find the email or PM or whatever it was!! You asked me if I wanted you to take over coordinating...and I said no, but if you would help plan the food that would be awesome. You enthusiastically agreed! LOL Yeah, you've got MEMORY problems... remember?? Oh, wait......
-
OMG, THAT I gotta see, Michelle. What a hoot!! Now, if I can only remember to set up the DVR... Haydee - WELCOME BACK! Sure is good to see you again. The resort sounds like heaven! I'm hoping to go to iFest the 2nd weekend -- i'm out of town the first one. You can get 1/2 price tickets online but tomorrow's the last day! Kat - So glad to hear your 1st day went so well! Yea!! Jenn - Feel better soon, hon. You know that weight will disappear as quickly as it came! Stop getting on the damn scale when you're pmsing! silly girl. Pam - you got the good life, that's for sure.
-
...and yes, I think Haydee's rented a car already.
-
Michelle's in charge of the food/menu I'll volunteer to cook one night -- it would be fun! The way we do it at the river where we have 20 people to feed, we have 4 groups, each cooking one night. Works out great!
-
Hey, you. Don't be getting any ideas that you're gonna hog Carson all for yourself.

Yeah, I got my dinner cooking in the crockpot... so nice to have it done! We're having beef stew. Took Hero to the bark park and wore his ass out.... he's snoozing on the couch. DH has a stomach bug, I think ... he's layin' real low. DD is on the phone in her room (go figure) and I'm eating my lunch (grilled cheese - yum). It's a nice quiet beautiful Sunday here in Houston! :-) Sorry about the snow, Suze. Gee whiz...wonder what Judy and Bob are doing right now? Hmmmmm. Those dawgs. I sure wish DH hadn't spent so much dang money on my step-daughter's wedding-- we might actually get to go on vacation every once in awhile. (Do I sound bitter?)
-
Good Morning Girls!! Jane - you're hilarious!! Suze - Yeah, I've heard the Eagles are a MUST SEE -- sounds like you had a wonderful time! It's a beautiful day here -- planning to throw a stew in the crock pot and take Hero to the dog park. Other than that I'm gonna play it by ear. I have every Friday in April OFF! Woo hoo! Looking forward to that....and a trip to see my girlfriend in Jacksonville in the middle of the month. I need some time on the road!! Tired of these 4 walls! Ya'll have a good day -- especially you, Michelle. Make it count!

It's probably fairly consistent but what I did notice is there's a difference in price between the various rental locations so be sure to check 3 or 4 of them. Also, when you call get an estimated total that INCLUDES all the taxes and fees, which can be considerable. If you get a rental rate of $20 or so you can rest assured they're not going to go significantly lower than that.

89 Days 'til the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
Jane - From St. Louis looks like Enterprise has the best deals...and they have locations all over town... for about $20/day+ taxes.
-
FYI a National mid-size car is about $22/day.

It was posted because fundamentalists think it is their job to "save souls". I'm a spiritual person and believe in God, but I really really REALLY get pretty sick of this fundamentalist crap everywhere I turn. Jeez!! Give it a rest, people!!

Hi! Ya'll don't know me from Adam...I was just perusing the "new posts" and this thread caught my eye. My group, the Shrinking Violets (April 07) have been posting regularly for 2 years now! We even went on a trip together last year and have another one planned for this June! But I was just going to make a suggestion to you all. Instead of posting different threads/topics, just all post to one thread like an ongoing conversation! We've been doing that and I think we've got something like 25,000 posts in 2 years from about a dozen girls. I think it's really important to keep in touch, especially as time marches on. The issues you face, and will face, never go away and it's nice to have a group of friends to rely on for understanding and motivation. GOOD LUCK and STAY IN TOUCH!!!!!!!

Was anyone banded at a weight of 200lbs or less?
TerriDoodle replied to 31andnew's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded in April '07 at a weight of 215 (5'7"). I lost 35# in the first 8 months -- I followed the rules and went to the gym. Then my mom got sick and I had to focus on her and had no time for the gym anymore. I never lost another pound after that! -
Punkin - Ouch! Sciatica!!! I know its hard, but try to be patient. You've done extremely well so far and it's natural for your weight loss to slow down a bit. Another fill will definitely help....that, and sticking to "the rules". Take it from an 'old' bandster -- maximize your efforts during this first 6 months before your body has a chance to adapt and stick to the rules as best as you can! You're doing great!

Kat - Can't you just wear scrubs?? That would be nice!

I REALLY don't think you should try the donuts with that new fill.... you will pay and pay and pay alllll morning long! Is your DH the sabotaging type?? Interesting he would choose this time to bring home donuts!? Have FUN, Tracy and be careful on the 4-wheeler!! Is it raining where you're headed? Aw, Judy....I sure hope you two get caught up in the beauty of Hawaii and enjoy yourselves to the fullest! I'm sure you will. This is YOUR life and you are enjoying the fruits of your good choices! Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. I'm sure you recognize those wise words. :smile2:

I'm sorry Judy. I know it's heartbreaking

Can't have tattoos that show at our kids school. If you have one that shows, I think they send you to alternative school if you don't want to have it removed! They're pretty tough down here! LOL For all the good it does!...

Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris was still cuter than Elvis even though he'd been dead for a decade? You're way sicker than I ever thought, Pammy. And that's pretty sick. I think Birmingham. I could meet you there if you want and we could drive together! :tt2: It's about a 1.5 hour drive, I think. I'm sure Haydee's having a helluva time getting caught up at work, PLUS she thinks she's now blocked from LBT! I have a fan that blows full blast right on me all night long. It's literally about 2 feet from me. So yeah, I can related.

....yeah, at the GROCERY STORE!!!

How is this for UN-EVENTFUL!!! Only one thing's gonna make that change!.... ME!! My Weight Chart: >
