In the Meantime helped me turn my life around and get out of a relationship that had my head really messed up. I still recommend that book and I read it 8 years ago! Kat - Would you believe I didn't get to sit down to bead until 6:30p!! I'm doing a similar necklace to the last one...in antique brass but with reds, oranges, yellows and golds...(sponge coral, pineapple quartz, citrine, honey jade, carnelian, topaz, and Swarovski crystals). They oughta have full-time psychological counselors on staff to help the teachers like they do for the students. It's just not right to ask our teachers to put up with so much, to do so much and then pay them shit wages. There is a monument to this atrocity right across the road from my subdivision. It's called the Berry Center ... a $73 million facility that includes a football field, sports arena, theatre, etc. Man, is it fancy!! But yet the teachers have to pay for their own tuition for an advanced degree so that they can get a $1000 raise in their salary?? $73 million. That's a lot of clams. I just don't get it. We can find the money to fund a war that nobody wants....but don't have money to educate our children? I don't get it. Pammy - major congrats on the new number!!!! Gotta love it! I woke up this morning "feeling skinny"...I know you all know what I'm talking about! LOL Then step on the scale and gained a pound!! Grrrr. I was really hoping to see 184 this morning. Oh well!!!!!!! I get to bead today, so that makes me happy! Will encourage Evan (ds) to put in a job application or two today. Pamela - I meant to mention to you that I am a Beatles freak! My sister is 7 years older than me and was 13 when they came to America.... you know what THAT means!! OMG that's all she could eat, breathe and sleep for 5 years. She wore out every album and had to buy 2nds many times. She still has all her old original ones...but they are not in good condition 'cause she played the hell out of them! While we were in Vegas we saw the Cirque de Soleil show "Love" which is a tribute to the Beatles. It was a truly amazing show....wonderful as all Cirque de Soleil shows are, but this one brought up so many emotions and memories for anyone as old as me! LOL I don't know when I've enjoyed any kind of show, concert or performance more than I enjoyed that one. So I bought the soundtrack when I got home and play it whenever i"m in the car. It's cool because it's got some interesting studio versions of the songs we love and they are mixed by George Martin himself. I also have a Beatles coffee table book that I've been reading when I sit down to eat and the house is quiet. I also just ordered Sgt. Pepper's, The White Album, and Abby Road CD's. So yeah, i guess you could say I'm a Beatles fan! LOL I see you were born in the Summer of Love!

Can someone explain to me what is going on here? What is Page Ranking? I see that every once in awhile and it drives me nuts. HAYDEE - Josie wont be back until very late October or early November, I think. You and I can get together if you want! Kat, well yeah....I agree whole-heartedly! The other day I stopped in over at the October 07 thread just to give some encouragement and it was kinda sad....they only had a handful of people posting....with like one post every 2 days!! Once again I was made very grateful for the friendship and support I've found here. It's my day off today and I was up at 5:20. Grrrr. Oh well, lots I want to do today so might as well get into it...starting with the gym! It's getting bad when I can guess my weight within 0.4# almost every time. Ha! Who needs a scale? And so what happens if you just don't show up...you can't ever come back to the States? Oh, I guess you were 'released' pending your trial, eh? What a major hassle. I feel quite sure Tracy is right....they'll just slap you on the wrist....we've got far worse criminals that are taking up the bed space. I miss my doggie so much! I'm going to start volunteering at a shelter close to my office too. I can drop by anytime to take dogs for a walk just so they can get out of their cages for a little while! Isn't that cool? No need to make an appt, or get on a schedule...just drop by! I'll like that. I'm going to go on Friday for sure. I want to get involved with a shelter or rescue club some kind of way... even though I know it's going to be hard. I can't let that stop me, right? Maybe I'll foster a doggie. If a dog gets sick and it doesn't have a foster mom they have to put it to sleep So they *really* need foster parents! I'm headed for trouble, I can see it now. I have a splitting headache, so I'm going to go to bed. I did buy a few clothes after work....it's much more fun now! I'm in size 16 pants and XL top. Still way too much fat for my taste! My first concert was at the age of 14 too (Neil Young!) ....I can't imagine, in my wildest dreams, sending my 14 year old to a concert these days! I can hardly bear to send my 17 year old!

G'Morning Vi's (as Michelle says) -- I am really sore from my UB workout Monday night but that serves me right. Thankfully it's not as bad as when I started from scratch and I didn't have a trainer working with me so I took it kinda easy. Going again tonight to do the LB and i always overdo it. Grrr. I wish I had not let my routine get so stale. It was so nice to be able to work out hard and not be sore. PAMELA - were you sore after your Jazzercize workouts?? Today I am pushing water like there's no tomorrow. My scale is so stuck at 185-186. When I quit smoking on Aug. 19 I weighed 188. To tell you the truth I've been entertaining the thought of smoking until I get closer to goal. How sick is that? I'm want 'it' just that bad. Stupid, I know. Beyond stupid. Jenn - You are so sensitive to others' opinions! I have a sneaky feeling that you perceive these things in a skewed way...like you think their opinion of you is much lower than it really is and you give those perceived opinions way, way too much importance. Your self-esteem is so wrapped up in these perceptions that you can't even see your own self-value. You are a kind, loving, supportive friend, a hard worker, a good mother, you don't set fire to small animals....what more could the world ask of you? You're everything a good person should be and I am a better person for knowing you and having you in my life!! ((((Big Hug))))

Pam - I used to do Jazzercize in like 1985! LOL Actually, other than the gym I'm doing now, and yoga, it is the only exercise routine I stuck with for any length of time. I loved it but I don't think I could do it now. Well, I'm quite sure their philosophy has changed but back then it was all about "aerobics" and I know my heart rate was thru the roof 80% of the time! Same with the classes offered at my gym now...I know going that hard is not good for me so I don't do too good in classes. I did love it though...it was a blast!

Judy, you and I are just totally out of it. I don't need another excuse to tie me to the computer even more! I'm not even going to LOOK. I used to love to cook 2 scrambled eggs for dinner before a workout...it was easy, fast, and satisfying. I may have to try them again....someday! How did your sausage go down tonight? My favorite is Czech garlic sausage (Kat you get that when your in Tx, don't u?) and hot Italian sausage. Italian sausage can be made with turkey and it's delish! Kat - I'll be praying that all is OK with your tests.
