Here you go, my Sweet Violets! Another new home for our daily musings.... "Thus nature has no love for solitude, and always leans, as it were, on some support; and the sweetest support is found in the most intimate friendship." - Cicero

Please post all those wonderful recipes here !!!:wink:

....like when clearly the post has no relevance or adds no value to the OP's question or concern. Like this: OP Question: I am having trouble finding a good fish recipe I like...can anyone help? Response: I hate fish! Fish makes me gag! Can someone explain the purpose of this? I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

Haydee - I hear what you are saying! I'd be freaked out too. "They" make it sound like all you have to do is get an unfill and Voila! have a baby! On the upside of this at least you'll be very aware of possible complications and not overlook any weird sympoms for very long. Ugh.

New refrigerator is being installed right now! I'm just staying OUT OF THE WAY. I'm PISSED that Heather and Laura have to spend all this money on getting rebanded/revised!!!
-
Well, Suzie, I recommend an aggressive fill in that case! We went out for Mexican tonight and all I could eat was about 1/3 of a cheese enchilada and 2 tbsp of beans!.... I ate 1/3 of a child's plate!! Crazy. It's OK for now, but I know it will get old soon. Kat - sorry about your son. Where in LA is he moving? He'll find out the hard way, I guess, but that's pretty much what kids do, ain't it? Speaking of which, Evan got kicked out of his halfway house this morning because he missed curfew by 30 minutes last night. He was pretty upset, as was I. He found another house in the same town within an hour, but still. 2 steps forward, 1 step back, eh? I guess someday he'll figure out that rules are NOT made to be broken. Sigh. DH and I went out and bought a refrigerator today and I am SO excited!!! I never knew I could be so excited about a kitchen appliance. It'll be delivered tomorrow. I was shopping for one 6 months or so ago and prices for the same fridge were $500 more! Good thing I waited!

Oh, Heather!! You poor thing!!! I am so sorry you have been so sick! Why didn't you say something earlier? I'm not sure why you are feeling so sad, though. Is it mostly because of the money? You're not exactly starting at step one....step one was 225#!! I'm sure you'll be feeling physically better very soon and that will help your mental state. You've been thru the ringer the last few months! Be patient with yourself and know that we are all walking with you and are so proud of your strength and beauty. (((Hugs))) We need some pics of Ayla!! I'll bet she's beautiful!

The good news is that I've lost 4# already! The bad news is I've only eaten liquids. I'd kill for a salad, Jenn! Had a short convo with Evan earlier -- he sounds better. He's really happy with his new sponsor, is working his program and still looking for work. Having some problems with his car but I can't 'rescue' him from that so I do hope he gets a job soon. Prayers, please!! ...and thanks!

Good Morning! ....although it's not such a good morning for me. This fill is kicking my ass and I am NOT happy!! Cottage cheese won't go down...just sitting there causing pain. And, of course, it's a holiday wknd so no unfill for me until Tues. To go from one extreme to the other is just soooo depressing. Oh, wait...I just PB'd violently on cottage cheese!!! OMG! I'm staying on clear broth, i.e., "Jenn's Diet". Maybe I'll lose 30# too!! HA!
-
Yeah, in emergencies (like severe muscle pain!) I'll take children's liquid motrin but don't take it often. Long term NSAID usage is probably not a good idea at all, but once in a while it's OK. And like Laura said, make SURE it's flushed very well out of your pouch and probably about 30 minutes before lying down! I need to see your trainer!!! That extra time on the treadmill would probably do wonders for keeping me in line. I hate the treadmill! Do you ever do the elliptical? More bang for the buck....minute for minute you burn 2x the calories.
-
You've lost 30 # in 5 weeks????? :smile2: Uh.....don't think that's gonna happen with me! I'll be very lucky to lose 2#!!! Man! I had no idea you lost that much! I hate you!!!! (just kiddddding!...sorta!!)
-
Haydee - when I'm sore like that the thing that REALLY helps is Advil and a hot tub. If they have a spa at your gym, USE IT!!!
-
Where did you get that idea, Jenn? I have no problem with your being here!! Why would I?? ======= I got a fill yesterday and today I am in mourning. I really enjoyed my 2 months being restriction-free....but I gained 6# in the process! I'm sitting here eating cottage cheese and it's verrrrrrry slow going down. Wah. I'm gonna miss grilled chicken the most...and yummy salads. But gotta do what I gotta do.

Hey, you brides (and everyone else!)....check out this photographer in Austria...the photos are so stunning I just want to cry!! Hochzeitsfotos und Hochzeitsbilder von Stefan S

Kat - I was actually thinking that CPS should get involved over that incident with Kinsey and her dad so that she can start building a case against him if needed. I know it's scary but it's probably for the best. At the very least it will give him a much needed wake-up call, dontcha think? Actually, it's good to know that the daycare is doing what they should be doing as far as reporting goes. If she had injuries to her 'private parts' then hell yes it needs to be reported. But I know it's very stressful....I'm sorry about that :smile2: I've got the day off today so I've got a much-needed 4-day weekend. No kids, no plans. I really want to get this house in shape -- it's getting rather out of control with all the little piles here and there. Don't you hate those?
-
Well, that is just wonderful news, Joanne!! I'm so very, very happy for you! I've never been to Eagle Lake but my family is from El Campo which is not very far away from there. I'm so jealous that you get to move out of this big city! Sorry I won't be able to join you for dinner, I'm involved in some volunteer training right now that I have to attend every Tues, Thurs, and Saturday. Maybe next time!
-
LOL!!!!!! You may have to fight for her!
-
Well, how do you like them apples!?
-
Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judy you have a keen eye for porn. I, myself, didn't catch it.
-
I LOVE my classes but no, they don't help with Evan's issues. I've always wanted to serve the HAWC because they helped me immensely at one time in my life and taught me many things about self-respect. I hope that I can empower at least one woman in that same way...or at least give them hope that things can change for the better.
-
Joanne - Are you getting married too????
-
Please visit our new thread!....... Shrinking Violets - Part 5!!
-
I've had a request to start a new thread... symbolic of a fresh start and all that, I suppose. All in favor?
-
LOL, Haydee! Of all the things you have to worry about THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!! Can you give me the address of the wedding venue/reception so I can research hotels? Or do you have one already that you're recommending?
-
Kat - I understand exactly how you feel. Laura = I must have missed something BIG TIME. What in heck is wrong with your band??? That is so not fair that you've had so much trouble with yours. I wonder if there is someplace you can make a 'complaint' about the manufacturer? Sometimes that gets their attention pretty good! Even your state attorney general? I dunno.... grasping at straws here. I know that's what I was advised when we had problems with Mom's insurance payments. If they get a complaint filed with the state they have to fill out a 20 page report as to why it's being so slow, etc....and they'd rather just pay than have to go thru that hassle. I'll be checking in later -- TTFN!
