(I LIKE USING CAPITAL LETTERS, I AM NOT YELLING. LOL)
I AM 46 & HAVE BEEN ON A DIET SINCE 10. TO ME DIETING = FAILURE. I STOPPED TRYING BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT THE END RESULT WOULD BE. I WOULD LOSE SOME WEIGHT, THEN I WOULD PUT IT BACK ON + 20. I STARTED MY FIRST DIET WEIGHING 100 POUNDS & AT AGE 46 MY DAY OF SURGERY I WEIGHED IN AT 235.5 AFTER 2 WEEKS OF LIQUID LOSING 10 LBS PRIOR TO SURGERY.
I AM HAPPY TO REPORT 2 WEEKS POST SURGERY I AM DOING GREAT, FEELING GREAT. SOMETHING IS DIFFERENT IN MY BRAIN. I FEEL AS IF I CAN SUCCEED THIS TIME. I NOW HAVE A PERMINATE PORTION CONTROL DEVICE INSIDE OF MY BODY, I AM NO LONGER LEFT ALONE TO FAIL ALONE. I HAVE NOW SET MYSELF UP TO SUCCEED!

This has really been a learning curve & not an easy journey. My lap band is now a part of me and I love it. I am so rebellious and hard headed. It has taken me 11 months to stop fighting agaisnt the band. I think I will do this the rest of my life. You need to go in though & get the band tightened every 2 months or it becomes to lose and you start gaining... This has been a process indeed and there is nothing easy about it.
