Day 10 Post Op
Lots Of Hope replied to Michelle Cicerello's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Michelle, I am 14 days out today. Just a couple a head of you. I have only lost 4 lbs due to the ugly stall, but I also had the day three surprise of an extra period. I feel like I should be fully operational, because I have no pain. However, I am not. I slept all day yesterday and I could not help it. My sweet children kept asking if I was sick...and I am not, just really tired all day. I push it when I have too, but other wise I just rest. I feel guilty because my husband worked so hard all day long to find my sleeping, but it's the best I can do. Everybody tells me it gets better. I am usually not a lazy person, but that is how I feel. So, you are not alone. At least we are lucky enough to get to rest when we need. Lol -
Juzumejnee and Brenda, we need an OC group!

I am 12days out and have only lost 2 lbs since surgery and that was after 3 days. Since then , that stupid scale won't budge. I am also listening to everybody here and tring to remember that this is apart of the process to lose the big weight. Not the fun part. But.....we are not hungry, and that awesome bc if we did not have our sleeve, we would be worse! We are all in this together.

Ok, I had surgery last Friday. I am now 10 days post op and the scale is the same! I hate that stupid scale! How can I stall when I have not even stared loosing weight yet? I have only500 ish cals, 80-100g protein, 64 oz water, < 10 g carbs. I exercise 40 min a day. I would so quit if I did not just have surgery. Anybody else's body stubborn like mine............stupid scale!!

Adrenal Fatigue & Thyroid Problems
Lots Of Hope replied to butterfly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I experience both. Thyroid meds can help, and there are cortisol meds for the adrenal fatigue. Recovery is slow, i started feeling better on meds after about two months. You must be extreamly tired. Sorry, but just keep getting treated and you WILL feel better. Treat that and the weight will come off. I chose WLS and I don't have results yet.Good Luck! -
Stall all ready
Lots Of Hope replied to Lots Of Hope's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok. Thanks all. I guess that I just thought that my weight loss would be the same as before WLS, just easier because I would not be hungry all the time. Like all of us, I have lost this weight a million times. I get to read about everybody losing weight and I want on board. Thanks for your responses. I still hate that stinking scale. I will try to be patient and know that this is what has to be done to get where I want to be. -

Ok..I will use the logical part of my brain and chill out! Thanks for the support, it does help. I still hate my stinking scale. I don't enjoy this , but it's not my whole life. I will be good. -

anxious and impatient
Lots Of Hope replied to wondering1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I kinda was obsessed with reading this post, books, etc. I also found cloths in magazines I wanted to wear. Make as many changes now to help your sleeve process. The post op is a challenge for some of us, and I was glad I didn't have a caffeine headache or soda with draw. I am only one week out, so that's all I can help you? Good Luck and great decision to change and live your life! -
Pushing my luck...
Lots Of Hope replied to Husky2Healthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, ok I can not be the one for but kicking because I am 7 days out and get it. I have not cheated yet because I am a rule follower. However, I have a list of things I am looking forward to eating and if I have a craving. It's nice to know that a lot of people here get it, and tell us to just do it, complain, but do it! Goodluck, -

Lots Of Hope replied to forever35's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am four days out and worry about the same. It is nice though to get hungry, drink isopure, and not be hungry. -
Yes, I did. He is ok. It took them 4hrs. This morning was so awful beyond belief. Wow, it was some amazing pain and emotions. I feel better now. Trying to walk, sip, walk sip like you told me. I really feel the whole buyers remorse now, but I know I am just being whining. I will update tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers, I need them.

What to bring as gifts, if not food
Lots Of Hope posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi , this seems to be a challenge to me because I have always shown my love by bringing a gift of nice wine or specialty food along when I go to someones house. Also, what do I bring as a gift to someones house if their dieting or had WLS. What do you guys keep in the house for friends that stop by. What about wine? I know that this is a social issue, but it will be a barrier I need to figure out. Please any and all suggestions. -

I'm going to hide the scale
Lots Of Hope replied to apple-saucy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stoped weighing bc it just stayed the same for too long. I think I might weigh every morning after surgery bc it will be so exciting to see it change.I think it's nice that your hubby is involved. Keep that up. If He wants to bring the scale out, llet him do it bc it involves him in your happy success. It helps me when my hubby is involved. -
