Had my first fill today. After 6 weeks from surgery date. I have a 10cc band and he filled it to a 5.2cc. I was surprised that he put that much in it but....OK! I found the fill not painful but unconfortable. When he put the needle in and filled it felt like someone stepping on my chest. The most painful thing was the needle for the numbing medication. I have lost 22 lbs so far and hope this fill helps me loose alot more. I feel alot of restriction so having to adjust to the amount of food I am taking in.

I was banded on March 31, 2011, so almost 6 weeeks. I hope to have my fill this friday. I started having horrible lower back pain on the same side as my port. It went away the first time after a couple of days but it has since returned and it has now been 5 days since it appaeared again. It hurts when I sit but when I stand it goes away. Could this be related to getting the band? Please Help!!!!!!

I had my surgery on March 31, 2011 and have lost 21 lbs. I am a little discouraged because after I have healed for the most part I have not lost any more weight since going on soft foods. I have not had a fill yet I get that at my 6 weeks check up. Is any one else going thru the same thing or are my expectations set to high!

Good Luck to you. Everyone recovers from surgery differently. I just had it 5 weeks ago on Thursday and I feel great but it took about 7 efore I had the energy to do anything. I totally underestimated this surgery. I thought I would be up and moving around in hours. Just listen to your body and don't overdue it. -
Thanks girl, good luck to you and keep us posted!
