5 weeks out and starting to see results!
MustLoseIt123 replied to betheboo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No, my first fill is scheduled for May 21st. But i've been told that it wont really help much. I guess I'm just scared now because I think ahead and dont see how having restriction will help much if im really trying to stay between the 1100-1300 calories. -
5 weeks out and starting to see results!
MustLoseIt123 replied to betheboo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow ill be 5 weeks out from surgery and I have not lose anything for the last 3 weeks. I lost 16 lbs in the first 2 weeks and since then NOTHING! I would like to know what your eating within a day and how many calories your consuming? Im getting very frustrated because im eating right (1100-1300 calories per day), exercising (at least an hour 6 days a week) and tracking all my calories and daily intake and still nothing. Then everyone tells me to hang in there, i'm trying but I feel like I felt before surgery that no matter what diet i was on i eventually failed and gave up because i wasnt seeing results. I know everyone says that you have to work with your band, but I am and nothing is happening. -
Confused...protein or calorie intake
MustLoseIt123 replied to sexyat44's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I feel your frustration (sexyat44). I am so confused and lost on what i should eat. I sit here reading all these forums trying to get some answers on what I should be eating and what i should be concentrating on (Protein intake or calorie intake?) to lose weight and I just get more and more confused. I had my surgery in Mexico so I dont have a nutritionist to ask questions to. I know everyones says everyone is different but all i need is some guidance. I was banded on April 9th, so today is my 4 week post op and i have stayed at the same weight for the last 2 weeks and im ready to cry in frustration! All I want is to have a constant weekly weight loss, even a pound or 2 would be nice. I currently try to keep my calorie intake from 1100-1300 a day. I dont eat less than 80 grams of protein a day (all lean protein like fish, some tuna, no bacon, some grilled chicken, try to stay away from cold cuts). I drink no less than 90 oz of Water per day. I started working out last Monday on the treadmill for an hour a day. I stay away from all white carbs (I think i have only tried some white rice, no more than half a teaspoon). SO WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? WHAT SHOULD I CHANGE? I am soooooooooooo lost and confused. -
I was banded on April 9th, 2011. I read your post above and im very interested in asking you what would you suggest for me to consume in daily calories, how many Protein grams per day and the minimundaily amount of workout. I had my surgery in Mexico and i dont have a nutritionist and i want advise and guidance from some one that has been very successful in the weight loss. Please help with some guidance.

Hello , Im new to this site. I have been reading some discussions and have learned alot about my band and new life style. One thing i have heard mention alot is BEING STUCK? What does that mean, what does it feel like? What causes it?

Should I wait an extra 2 weeks for my first fill?
MustLoseIt123 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Need your advise PLEASE!! I was banded on April 9, 2011. I am now just over 3 weeks post op and have not had my first fill. I wanted to get my first fill at 4 weeks which would be this coming Sat. May 7th because i dont want to gain any of the weight that i have already lost. However my doctor will be out of town until May 21st which means that I would not get my first fill until 6 weeks out. May choices are to pay for another doctor to do my fill this weekend or wait 2 more weeks for my doctor to do my first fill at NO COST to me. Im just terrified to gain any weight that i have already lost because I wont have any restrictions. Any suggestions? Should I wait and save money or pay and get a fill this weekend??
