  1. It’s a special day here at BariatricPal, according to your profile..it’s your birthday. Happy Birthday, LR6909!

  2. Hey everyone! It's been over a year, I lost my job in July and have been stressed. I am the bread winner and even though I have found new employment, it has been difficult to get back on track with exercise, etc. that will soon be remedied! I look great and feel great. I haven't lost much since January but inches. The best decision I made was to have the sleeve!

    By The Way....

For me it depends, some days I for instance I can eat two chicken enchiladas with two spoon fills of Beans, other days I won't be able to finish one enchilada. It just depends.
  4. I was 41 when I had my surgery. I was up walking that night and even had a sip or two of Water. My doctor called at 10:30pm to see how i was doing after he found out, i had walked the halls 5 times. LOL. I didn't have any issues but HORRIBLE motion sickness when i got home. I tried to go back to work the next week but my co-worker who is a perfume bomb made me sick! I couldn't take it! I went home and returned the next Monday and was fine. My best friend however, had surgery and said that I pulled a fast one on her, she was in the hospital for 3.5 days. Everyone is different. These few moments of inconvenience are worth the end result. By the way, I didn't have a drain.

    10 Months

Doing good. Still in the 190's but life is GRAND! So far this year I have traveled to New Orleans and Phoenix. I enjoyed myself on both trips. I am a SLOW loser but that's okay with me. I noticed today that XL dress I got from the Limited back in March that I had to wear spanx with, I didn't need the spanx today. I actually look forward to walking and/or working out. I try to get in a least 5 miles of walking per day. Some days I fall short and some days I exceed that amount. I love God, life and my sleeve!
  6. Hey everyone, Yep, its hard to believe that its been 10 months. While I realize I am a slow loser—people SWEAR every time they see me I drop more weight. Which is totally untrue. I have been in the 190's for the longest at least 6 months but I am in a sizes L, XL, 12 and 14's. Go figure. It just depends on the maker. I am 25lbs from my surgeon's goal and 40 lbs from my goal. I bloat a lot during that time of the month—I gain usually about 5 lbs. At one point, I would drop anywhere from 10-14 pounds during my cycle but that stopped. I also used to get horrible motion sickness, I would wear the Patches like they give you from the hospital to compensate. That has stopped to—Thank God!!! I have a fitbit that helps me stay accountable to my daily steps. Generally, I get in about 5 miles per day. I went to New Orleans for 5 days in January. I went to Phoenix/Scottsdale for 5 days last month. Did some hiking and even dropped 3 lbs while I was there. I do plan to Celebrate my surgiversary in August just not sure where yet. J Crawfish season was a mental adjustment for me. In times past, I could eat 5-10 lbs at one sitting no problem. This year, I could only get down 1 ¼ pounds. I tried 2 lbs once and I literally was nauseated all the way home and barely made it to the bathroom before the extra ½ pound came up. Lesson learned! I don't do that ANYMORE! I am so loving life. Otherwise, I have a new outlook. I am off BP meds. I have the rod, out of my leg. Just waiting to firm up some more. I do not have a lot of sagging skin but my thighs could use some work. Going to start doing weights and maybe get the bun and thighs video by Jillian. I hope everyone is doing great. How do you plan to celebrate your surgiversary?
  7. May sounds good. If I am not working, I'll be there.
  8. Girl, you look great! Thanks for sharing...too funny.
  9. I started out somewhere between a 40g in sports bras and 40-42k in goddess everyday bras. Today I wear. 36j in everyday bras and 36g in wacoal underwire sports bras. My girls have been with me since I was 10--I missed the whole training bra stage. They aren't going anywhere. I just got fitted for the wacoal sports bra this weekend. I pay good money to lock and load these girls.
  10. You look great! Your smile is contagious.
  11. I can't remember how long the treatment was right now but it was about 6 weeks. I had my surgery on August 23rd. Don't worry, the meds come in a pack. Keep us updated.
  12. Hi everyone, I have been on BP meds every since I got married in 2003. Kind of funny and sad all at the same time. I had my surgery in August but yesterday when I visited my PCP she took me off everything. I do need to return in 3 months for a check up to see how I am doing but otherwise--I am doing great. My only issue is Iron and that's because of the excessive bleeding from the fibroid tumors. I was taking Toprol 100mg, Lisinipril (2x per day) 20 mg, Triamertene/HCTZ 75/50 (fluid pill) One of other note, I got the titanium rod taken out of my leg from an accident in 2003 (which they "never" take out) and I am doing fine. I go back to work Monday. :-)

    Leslie Sansone DVD's

I have a couple of her dvd sets. I like them. I have even given a few away as gifts. It is really helpful when you can't get to the gym or outside. Its funny how time passes so quickly.
