You have came a long way. This is an amazing feat! The good thing is you have learned from your mistakes. Make sure you are getting enough protein and carbs for your workouts. -

LR6909 replied to MSanti's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I haven't been sleeved yet but I track my foods via sparkpeople.com and livestrong.com. I also have these two apps on my blackberry. iPhone users may want to try the free app called loseit--a friend of mine uses this. Of course, all three you can track online for free. -

OMG!!! Girl--you almost made me cry--right here at work in the midst of a big project. It is awesome to look back at it all and say it wasn't easy but it was worth it!!! OMG! I don't have any kids of my own either but I would love to do that with my God-babies! -
I am at work and almost fell out the chair reading this. It so reminds me of when I had my tibia and fibula broken and I took my first shower alone. :-) I felt like someone had been mugged and they even took my contacts out. I hopped to the bed and stayed there until dinner. I will keep this lesson in mind.

I'm burning more calories exercising than I'm consuming
LR6909 replied to Shanny's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I have both a Polar Heart Rate Monitor F7 and the Body Bugg. The Body Bugg calculates total calories (at rest and active) the entire time you have on the arm band. It also tracks your steps and how much activity you do during a day. The HRM by Polar just calculates your bpm and how many calories you burn while you have it on. I wear them both during workouts but I usually have my body bugg on all day. I got the body bugg as a christmas present to myself. :-) My workout buddy bought me the HRM. -
So glad it worked out for you!!!

You look great! Congratulations! -
Like the other posters have said—get a massage, or maybe by some jewelry would be a great idea. I also love new purses. I have to wait for shoes because as I lose weight my feet drop sizes too.

Endometriosis with Sleeve
LR6909 replied to DivaDee84's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, I don't have endo but I have fibroids. I had 13 removed from me in 2003, one the size of a grapefruit and several little golf balls--which weighed 8.6 lbs. Yep, the equivalent of a baby. Since then, I have had a reoccurrence and I just deal with the pain. No pain medicine, Vicodin, Tylenol 3, etc, seems to help. I sure hope having the sleeve will give me a least half of the benefits it has give you all. Thanks so much for sharing. -
My Pysch Eval is today. I hope I pass. :-) Seriously, I had to reschedule my EGD---we have a big project going on here and I will not be able to take off on my birthday. UGH! So far I have 13 days vacation accumulated and I get 12 more before the end of the year. I had been reading on here and other blogs that some people took off a week or 2--and some took the entire 3 weeks. I will just need to see how I feel. I don't want to take short-term disability because the amount you get is so small it isn't 2 days salary for me after taxes. I figure I can get help around the office and rest in the mother's room. (a room set aside here for nursing mothers.) :-)

insurance changes new doctor fees!
LR6909 replied to chelle622's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG!!! I am so sorry. I have Empire BCBS. Which BCBS do you have? Which doctor are you using? I sure hope this isn't the case for me. -
Getting frustrated. I have to reschedule my EGD that I scheduled on my birthday. UGH! It's a work schedule issue. My plan was to have the surgery in July. Wishful thinking on my part. L Well, I guess this will give me time to save some money for the "white scan/body scan"—I hear that test is $200 and not covered by the insurance plus I will need to save for my co-pay for the hospital and anesthesiologist.

So glad you two are okay and everyone else. Keep walking and sipping.
