I was banded on 8/18, have had 2 fills so far (I'm up to just over 6cc's) and still don't have alot of restriction. I'm definitely eating less but still more than I should be able to. Now I do realize there's a certain amount of personal resonsibilty I need to display as well as use my new tool, but the tool's not doing much for me yet. Anyone else experience this? Frustrating!

Congratulations! Love your post! Can't wait to soak up more info when I go look at your blog! Thank you for sharing! -
Gosh, I'm so glad I saw your post! I've been banded just over 2 months now, down 26 lbs but struggling with restriction. I've had 2 fills, I'm up to just over 6 cc's and I still haven't found my sweet spot! I've been feeling kinda hopeless....like all this was just for nothing. The scale hasn't been moving...except for up on occasion (and I have a bad habit of weighing myself every morning)! Thank you for your post...makes me feel like I still have a chance at making this tool work for me!

Hi there! I'm somewhat new at this....but, my Nutritionist advised me not to eat anything with white flour as it will become doughy and get stuck. So, I figured this to be a standard bandster thing. But, I'm noticing lots of recipes that call for white flour or use items that are made with white flour (i.e., Bisquick, Flour Tortilla). So, you all don't have issues with white flour?

Hi folks. I was banded on the 18th...two weeks ago today. Surgery went well, I too had to have a hiatal hernia repair during the procedure. So along with having 5 incisions I also had chest pain. The first few days was rough..alot of gas and bloating...so uncomfortable. I didn't really mind the liquid diet...I wasn't even hungry. Did the usual...broth, SF jello and popcicles, then worked into runny mashed potatoes and oatmeal and such. So glad I'm on soft foods now and have better food choices. Get my first adjustment in two weeks and I'm happy about that as I'm not feeling as restricted as I should. Oh, I got on the scale the day after surgery and I had gained 5 pounds! I had no idea that was normal....it took about 5 days before I finally hit my surgery morning weight. Talk about frustrating. I'm down 19 lbs. thus far. I have one incision near my belly button that I think is infected so yuck. I'm very anxious to get my fills figured out and get recovery over with so I can just get on with losing weight! I'm constantly scouring the web for healthy recipes to try. This will be good for my entire family! Cheers!

I'm right behind you...surgery was 4.18 and my first adjustment will be in two weeks. I too don't feel much restriction right now...anxious to get that first fill and more restriction and then hopefully some better weight loss. I'm down 19 lbs so far.

Hi there! I'm 2 weeks post-op today. So far I'm down only 19 lbs. Started soft foods today so my food selection is getting better (thank goodness). Recovery is going well with one exception. One of my incicions appear to be infected or something. Going back to the dr. tomorrow.
