I just went for my 2nd fill today i now have 7.0cc in my 10.cc band . i also stopped by starbuck and had a frapp. today and it took ne over 3 hours to drink it . It feels alot different than the first fill , I can hardly sip anything . I did have soup for lunch and maybe was able to get 5 or 6 spoons down . I will give it a few days and hopefully when i start back on food I will be able to eat.

2- 1/2 month update I have been doing very well with my band so far. I had my first fill last month of 6.0 cc in a 10.0 cc band . I dont really feel much restriction but I am still able to control the amount I eat . I was doing better in the beginning with the walking and water intake than i am now but i am trying to push myself to pay attintion and do better Here are a couple of pics that i think you can tell a that i am making some changes Banded 1-17-07 Dr. Larson West Palm Beach , Florida starting weight 268 current weight 232 goal weight 150 :clap2:

well it has been a little over two months since my surgery and i feel great , I have lost about 40lbs so far and have had one fill of 6.0 cc's in my 10 cc band ... no problems to speak of so far , I am seeing a big difference in my clothes and some of the pictures of before and after , I can not wait to see what the next few months will bring , i would do it al over again

:faint: I was Banded on January 17, 07, day two out of the hospital I started walking 1 mile , Now I am up to 5 miles , I am also ridding my bike up to 5 miles , I have to admit I am not doing this everyday but I haope that I can get motivated to do it at least 4 to 5 times a week ...... I paid , ( well my wonderful parents paid ) $15, 600 for surgery , I have BB shield and they do not cover any weight loss procedure.... this will include a year of fills and support groups and any meetings i would like to attend ... it was well worth every penny :clap2:

I have been reading about how everyone gets around 1.5 cc for the first fill , well my Dr wants to put in 5 cc / 6 cc on the first fill ... doesnt that seem a like a little much , anyone else have so much placed at one time ? I have a 11cc vangaurd band

Back from the DR and he says that all is well , I have lost 19lbs .....yeah He gave me the go ahead to start on solid foods slowly, for Dinner I am having small bites of pork chop, mashed potatoes/ gravy and green beans wow this is the best meal i have had in a while , i go back on 2/20 for my first fill and he said that at that time he would like to put 5 to 6 cc in and I just about fell over, he told me that I have an 11cc vangaurd band that actually will hold about 12 / 13 cc with some of the fill in the tubing , I am going to injoy the lossness while I can since it sounds like he is going to get me nice and filled

good morning everyone, tomorrow will be two weeks post surgery for me , I go to the Dr. today for my first check up , so far my scale says that I have lost 20 lbs. I am just hopefull that the scale will say the same thing at the Dr's office. I am definetly noticing my clothes are getting much looser , yesterday I had a pair of jeans on that didn't look like they belonged to me , since they were so big in the butt and legs , I think I will keep wearing them until I can put them on without opening the button , that will be kinda fun , lucky for my family that should be within the next week or two ... Keep up the good work to everyone

Oh yes it has been 8 days since my surgery and I have been walking around like a hog burping , It just comes up and there is no stopping it for me , and I have never been one to burp or pass gas like that so i am just thankful that i am having it some from the mouth and not my a**.

:clap2: Well I have to pat my self on the back, it has been six days and i have never felt better in my life. Thinking back to last week at this time I was about to have a nervous breakdown, and now I look back and wonder why I even worried. Things are going great .... I have lost about 10 lbs in just a week but more so I think the inches are melting away . I hurried and got out a bag of clothes I had to give away since they didnt fit and what do you know I have about three new pairs of pants to wear for a while . I have to thank my Parents for giving me such a wonderful gift , without them I could have never done this .

Hello to everyone , Well it is the end of day three for me , and I feel so good , I am just amazed . I am a bit tired from time to time but other than that i feel like a million bucks .... (maybe a hundred bucks) . I am doing well with the liquids and have really had to remind myself that I half to drink something since i don't feel hungry . scares look good and the pain is minimal around the incisions . Well Hello again . This time I am not here because of the fear of having surgery, I am now a member of the band club . OMG I can not believe I actually went through with this whole thing. You see I am the biggest chicken when it comes to pain or anything of the unknown.But anyways it is all behind me know and I hope that the next few weeks will be as easy going though the surgery . I have never had surgery before , but i did give birth to three kids and i lived through that even when I didn't think I would . My biggest fear is that I wont make it through the operation . I do not want to leave my husband or my kids . I guess I need to just stay positive and get to the hospital and get the IV and I will be fine .

Well tomorrow is the big day for me , I will be at the hospital at 6:00am and my surgery is at 8:00am . I am at a breaking point , I am so scared of the surgery itself the afterwards doesnt bother me at all . I hope all goes well and the night will just hurry and pass so I can get this over with . I think this is going to be the longest night of my life . I will post after I am back home and feeling well
